Jeep Grand Cherokee owners have reported 7 problems related to radiator hose (under the engine and engine cooling category). The most recently reported issues are listed below. Also please check out the statistics and reliability analysis of Jeep Grand Cherokee based on all problems reported for the Grand Cherokee.
Turbocharger water cooling inlet, mopar part number 68242889aa, is exposed to high temperatures on the hot side of the turbo, and the rubber heater hose that joins the two metal sections subsequently fails. This results in a complete loss of coolant, engine failure, and extreme temperature which may contribute to a fire hazard. In addition to my personal vehicle failing, I know of at least 5 other Jeep Grand Cherokees and ram trucks experiencing the same issue. All these share the 3. 0 ecodiesel engine.

1996 Jeep Grand Cherokee limited. Air conditioning system only blows hot air. I have had it looked at two different times. They check the system and fill all the fluids, but it still doesn't work.
Water pump, radiator and heater hoses were leaking, dealer made repairs, and in doing so damaged transmission fluid lines, consumer informed dealer that they had damaged these lines, so dealer made repairs, however consumer states lines are still leaking, now dealer wants to charge him for the repairs, consumer feels since the dealer is the one who caused the damage in the first place, they should repair vehicle free of charge, consumer also states there is a humming noise in the engine compartment while driving 55-60mph.
