I sent in complaint # 11374883 on 11/16/20 but needed to add that my airbags are not working either along with this seat belt that the pendulum or motor has broken. I understand the airbags are tied into it the p67 recall as well. They are not working either and my warning system is no longer telling me my ab or seat belt is not working or on. Recall p67 was my model and make Jeep but my VIN was not included for some reason. I called gm as the recall stated and they said they don't know why my VIN was not part of the recall and should have been,. They advised me to reach out to you and ask you to get this added to that recall as the issues match and are the same for other owners of the same vehicle I have and year and model. Please, my safety is compromised and I do not have the funds to get this defect fixed. I am the caregiver to my sick 81 yr old handicapped mother and I need safety when carrying my 81 yr old mother around. The passenger side will go next as reported by others on the threads I see. This issue occurred at the mileage others said it did to theirs. 14,000+ as a matter of fact. Please, get me under this recall for my Jeep gc limited 2014 model. This is clearly a defect as was my oil sensor that had no issues at all but a warning light that came on. . I had it fixed at 550. 00 back 2 yrd ago. Many other same complaints but no recall. Chrysler filed bankruptcy. You are truly, my only hope to get this under the p67 recall as it should have been when my model and mileage is the same as others when the issues occurred. Please help me. I have never had this happen in any of my past cars or my husbands old car or my daughters cars. This is a defect and my families safety is at risk as this is our main vehicle. Please help and get me under that recall. I am praying about this , that you will help us to get this defect resolved under p67.

I own a used 2006 Jeep Grand Cherokee laredo 4x4. The driver's and passenger's side seat belts are not latching unless I press down on the red button. The red seat belt indicator light won't go off and the audible chimes continuously and will not shut off while driving. The vehicle manual does describe a method in which you can disable the seatbelt indicator chime. However, to be able to do this you must be able to have the seatbelt in the buckled position, which the vehicle is not able to detect as the seatbelts are faulty. The only way to stop the chime is to snip the seat belt sensor and ground wires coming from the vehicles computer underneath the driver and passenger seats and splice them together. This will ground out the sensor but it also causes the airbag warning light to come on. So, you have to choose between either having airbags and a nonstop seatbelt indicator chime, or no chime and no airbags. This is troublesome.

Air bag warning light stays on intermittently upon startup, usually will go out if shut off and restart, but not always. Has been recalled twice already for airbag issue so am fairly confident this is the same problem still. Only 89000 miles on the vehicle and is 100% garage kept. .

There was a wire coming our of the steering column and the airbag warning light came on. I called nyle maxwell Jeep to ask to bring in my car and they could not schedule me until 4 days later. I asked if it was safe to drive it and they said yes. The following morning my husband was driving to the store and the airbag deployed for no reason as he was turning into a parking space. This happened on April 14th. It is may 11th and I still do not have any answers from Jeep other than it was inspected by them. I have not been contacted further and have called every other day to check on my case number. They tell me they will put a message in the notes and someone will contact me ASAP and I still have not been contacted.
Takata recall - air bag warning light began being intermittent when traveling on secondary roads and highways. It is now lit at all times. I have already had to replace the speed control operator lever.

Passenger air bag warning light remains on.
While driving 40 mph on a 2 lane road the passenger sidewall airbag deployed seconds after the airbag warning light came on. There was no impact. Car was driven about 2 miles to the Jeep dealer where it was purchased. They suggested I call Chrysler. Chrysler sent an engineer to investigate. Chrysler sent me a letter stating that there was nothing that would leave them to believe it was the manufacturer's responsibility. I am trying to find out why it deployed. Chrysler will not provide me with this information. If they can make a determination that it was not a manufacturer defect, then they should know what caused it in order to make that determination. I spoke to an auto body shop as suggested by the dealer to get a rough estimate of the repair cost but they said they were not interested in repairing it without knowing what caused it do to liability issues, which I understand. I do not know what caused the deployment but Chrysler must know or else they couldn't determine it was not a manufacture problem.
