I have been unable to get recall r06 completed. All the Jeep dealers said that they are unable to get the needed parts. They are on a national recall list. This is a serious safety issue and needs to be addressed ASAP. They state that the orc module and other items needed to complete the recall cannot be obtained anywhere and the dealer's said that they have been waiting months for the back ordered parts so the recall can be completed. This is a serious safety issue that needs to be completed on these Jeeps. My air bag light is on and the parts needed is on the recall list r06 to fix it. Please address this safety issue ASAP before someone gets critical injuries. Thanks for your time.

While driving approaching a stop my driver side headrest air bag deployed striking me in the head and almost causing an accident with the stopped vehicle infont of me. Upon resuming driving no airbag indicator light was present. When I arrived at my home I noticed the retainer did not release rather the plastic around the retainer pin failed causing deployment. I see this is an ongoing problem with many and fear the passengers side will fail next.

Well my airbag light is on and will not go off! I took it to the mechanic and they reassured me the airbags are there and haven't been deployed at all. But my concern is that the light is on for a reason either the seatbelts or the airbags are faulty. No matter if I'm parked or if I'm in motion the airbag light is always on and I want to be safe and secure that if I'm in an accident I won't be killed because my airbags didn't deploy as they should! I know my Jeep is old but it's in good condition I'm not sure what else to do about this problem because I searched by my VIN and it hasn't had a recall about that problem so please get back to me as soon as possible.

Passenger airbag indicator light turns on and off at random times while vehicle is driven or parked. Sometimes it repeatedly turns on and off in a few minutes. It will happen if someone is in the passenger seat or not.

We were driving into our parking stall at home when our airbags deployed. As we reversed and drove forward to straighten our car in our stall we noticed the airbag light turn on suddenly and airbags automatically deployed. Our entire family was in the car and kids are traumatized. Super scary moment, and what if we were driving on the highway!.

At start up airbag lights stay on I stop at the store and shut off the engine and start it back up the airbag lights are off. Issue 2. Driving down the road and start up a hill it down shifts or high rpms a fuse blows.

Airbag light came on at 106,000 mi. Was told it was an issues with the wiring in the head restraint. Would need to have head rest replaced for $700. I don't believe there is any reason this should have failed as the car has never been in an accident.

My air bag light randomly lights up and goes away and sometimes it chimes when it pops up and sometimes it doesn't. Here recently, it has decided to stay on. There is no code if it is scanned. I definitely think this should be a recall because if I was to accidentally wreck, I don't know if they would actually work or not as much as the light comes and goes.

The 'service airbag system' display and airbag light comes on and off. I had it repaired but the dealer said it's not covered under the 'safety warranty' . I think it should be.

I had new orc module as per recall ro6. Part no cbszro65aa air bag light still on comes and goes. Had scanned got code p000201 left front sensor failure. . I found that the new module on wj models disables the front sensors. They are not needed. Help!!!!!went to dealer he was no help.

The fobik when inserted does not turn vehicle on (acts like vehicle battery is dead) but when key is removed and reinstalled it will then crank. Then other times it cranks but is like it's in off position (inside lights nor radio comes on) also, after acting up the airbag light stays on without flashing or going off. Windshield wipers "motor" doesn't function properly (works but stops in from of drivers window area) until it's put on high speed. These issues occur before and after vehicle is started. Both areas of city street and highway.

Takata recall (possibly). The Jeep was traveling down the highway and the airbag light came on for about 30 seconds and the side curtain airbag deployed for no reason. An ember came out of it and fell on the carpet in the back and burned a hole all the way down to the metal, now my cluster panel is going nuts and all of my electrical is malfunctioning. There is no damage to the outside of my Jeep to cause the airbag to deploy.

Air bag light is constantly flashing and rendering cruise control useless. Everything work as necessary, then one day when attempting to get on highway, I pressed cruise control only for it to flash in the dash panel, then disappear. Once off the highway to my destination, I turned the Grand Cherokee off. When I got back in the vehicle, the airbag light stayed on for at least 15 minutes then shut off. During the time of the air bag light on, I was able to press the cruise control and have it stay on the dash panel, but I still had no use of it. Once the air bag light shut off, I then pressed cruise control again just for it to flash on then back off. Now the passenger airbag light is flashing or stays illuminated when the vehicle is being used. My Jeep just passed 125,000 miles. This shouldn't happen to sucha low mileage vehicle for the age. . Who will fix this mess?.

On Aug. 29 2017 my airbag light came on. I took the vehicle to mullane motors in lockport NY, for repair. I was told a side impact air bag sensor had shorted out and needed replacing, and spent $332. 57 to have it fixed. When I arrived to pick up my Jeep, I was told that the same sensor was still �shorting out� and that standard operating procedure was to replace the occupant restraint control module. I asked when that could be completed and was told that the �part is unavailable,� in any way shape or form, and that it was unknown when or if at all this part would ever be available. I telphoned fiat Chrysler corp in auburn hills, mi concerning this issue, and was told the same thing, that the part is �currently unavailable and on national back order� was given a case number, and was told I would be called back in 24 to 48 hours. No one called me back. I telephoned the company again a week later and was again told someone would call me back in 24 to 48 hours. It has now been a week, and I have not heard from Chrysler. At this time, my airbag light is still on, and it is indicated in my owners manual that my airbags may not function in a collision, which I feel makes my vehicle unsafe to drive.

Less then 30 days ago I purchased a used 2006 Jeep cherokee laredo 4x2. The dealer said the airbag sensor just needed replaced no big deal. Now I am experiencing the same thing as alot of older people. The driver's side seat belt started not latching unless I press down on the red button. So then the red seat belt indicator light won't go off and the audible chimes continuously and will not shut off while driving no matter what I do. Moving the seat belt around to try and get the chime to stop as well as the audible chiming while driving makes it very annoying and distracting from the road. I need answers on why this should be at my cost when between the airbag and seat belt sensors are truly safety issue. Their is no warranty at 154457 miles. Please advise on the airbag recall etc. . . The airbag light was on when purchased 7/18/17. The seat belt chiming and light started staying on 8/10/17.

I bought the car less than a year ago. The car is a 2013. The airbag light came on. I went to the dealership to have it checked. They informed me the passenger seat belt needs to be replaced. This seems ridiculous consideing the car is less than 5 years old. I ended up haigb to pay over $300 for a new passenger seat belt including installation. What would have happened had I got into an accident? why is such a new seat belt failing? should I worry that my driver's seat belt will fail as well? it doesn't seem this should be happening on such a new car. I am happy to provide repair receipts as requested.
