Takata recall - had my 2004 Jeep Grand Cherokee in for the recall in January 2018. They fixed airbag recall and problem seatbelt light constantly being on even when driver is correctly seatbelted in- the light stays on. Now, it is August 27, 2018 and both air bag light and seat belt light are back on. Also, the fuel tank skid plate is completely rusted through. This leaves the gas tank fully exposed, leaving you susceptible to any number of possible scenarios where the fuel tank could ignite, especially if one was to be rear ended by another vehicle. It is not protected by "solution" to replace the tow bar package. I know serveral other people with the same vehicle and fuel tank skid plate rusting through completely. This combination of the takata airbags deploying unexpectedly along with the exposed fuel tank, & truly endangers the lives of the driver, all occupants and potentially anyone else in the vicinity, if one or both we're to explode. Potentially caused me lose of life to those involved.
Airbag light has come on and the Jeep dealership wants to charge me a fee for them to look at it and then fix the issue. I have read on multiple sites that this is a reoccurring issue with my specific model and year. Jeep wants to charge its customers a fee to properly maintain a safety function the vehicle that would save their lives in the case of an accident.
When exiting the express way yesterday, my airbag light turned on and dinged about 3 times and turned off. This is the first time my Grand Cherokee laredo has done this in the year that I have owned it. I'd like to note my previous car, a 1999 Jeep Grand Cherokee limited, would have this issue everyday. It is not safe for my airbags to be disabling while my car is in motion. Especially since it is having a stalling issue as well. This could be fatal given the right circumstances.

The airbag indicator light is on. I took it to adel Chrysler dealer to investigate. The said "44846 open in orc module need to replace orc module" I investigated and discovered Chrysler recall p67 for 2014 Jeep Grand Cherokees. However, when I contacted Chrysler, they said my VIN number was not included in the recall. My car has the exact same problem as the recall describes yet it is not included in the recall!! I think it should be included and that Chrysler should replace the orc module at no charge. While Chrysler did offer to give me the part free, I would still have to pay labor $150. I think it should be done free. So I am filing this complaint. Meanwhile my airbags won't deploy until this is fixed. The NHTSA campaign number: 14v643000.
