My Jeep Liberty is included in the massive Jeep recall of vehicles that may experience a fire in the event of a rear end collision. I would like to know how much longer I have to wait to receive the replacement equipment, or do I need to leave my family with instructions to file a lawsuit in the event that I am involved in an accident and burned to death in my car.
I have yet to be contacted by the dealer about having this repair completed. When I called to inquire about a timeline for the repair, I was told "if you would have read the notice, you would know that they would contact you when they have the parts ".

I received a letter notifying me that there was a recall on my vehicle in late August of 2014. I have called the Jeep recall center 4 times since then and I still have not had my Jeep repaired. The last time I called on January 29th, 2015 the customer service representative put me in contact with kendall Dodge in miami. I spoke to vivian form the car dealership and she advised me that I was fourth on the waiting list for this repair. It is now February 12th, 2015 and I have not heard anything from kendall Dodge or the Jeep recall center. How much longer do I have to wait for such a simple repair of my Jeep?.

Safety recall on vehicle, received notice to repair, made appointment with ellis Jeep, canoga park, CA. When I arrived at ellis Jeep they did not have the part required and made many excuses excluding why they did not notify by phone they did not have the part and to reschedule. I took my ride away and returned home. I then called van nuys Jeep and told them the problem, the service manager was very kind and asked if I could bring the Jeep to them and he would squeeze it in that day. I drove over to that dealership and the manager found a way to deal with the repair within two hours. Praise is deserved by van nuys Jeep and disgrace upon ellis Jeep.

While fueling up at the pump, the gas stations pumps automatic shut off is triggered various times while filling, resulting in gasoline overflowing on the side of the vehicle and resulting in a puddle on the floor. This is a big concern as there might be a risk of fire/explosion.

The fuel and water separator is leaking diesel fuel from the heater electrical lines. This is actually the second time this has occurred. The first time in 2008 the vehicle was idling when the wires began to smoke. Took it into repair the problem and didn't think anything of it. Now the same thing is happening again which upon further research have found this to be a common issue with the crd's. This car is a fire hazard not to mention the stalling and loss of power due to air being pumped into the fuel lines. My child is not safe driving this car.

I own a 2005 Jeep Liberty crd and this weekend I had trouble with it starting. We primed it from the fuel filter and it fired up. On my way to take it home, the Jeep stalled 3 more times. I took it in to the shop today, and for about $400 it will be fixed. The fuel filter housing went bad, the fuel filter is bad and I had some wiring get fried in the process. I am reading loads of people having this issue and stating a faulty design from chysler. Why isn't this a recall then? I read on a few that mentioned the results of this fix, that it's been redesigned and they are having no more trouble. I hope that it the case for me too, and believe this would be an important recall as this can cause fire and accidents.

My 17 year old daughter drives this car. I have a huge problem with this vehicle having a recall and parts not being available to fix it. Also this vehicle has a broken window regulator on the rear passenger door. From what I have been able to find there are thousands of people who have had to replace this part multiple times. I think this should not be the responsibility of the consumer. Something is obviously not working if this has to be replaced multiple times.
According to NHTSA, this vehicle is subject to a voluntary recall (n46/NHTSA 13v-252) that was to commence in July 2013. I received a letter confirming this from the manufacturer over two months ago that said I would be notified when the part to correct the problem was available. I have contacted Chrysler twice and no one can say when the part will be available. Since the part to correct the problem was a factory and/or dealer installed option when this car was built, and since there are many manufacturers with similar parts, I can only conclude that the unreasonable delay appears to be intentional. The longer Chrysler waits, the fewer Jeeps will need to be repaired. Of course, each day without repair presents a safety risk that also decreases the value of my vehicle.
