The manufacturer was made aware of the failure, opened a case, and then closed the case with no solution other than replacing the same part. The vehicle was unsafe to drive because the temperature warning indicator could illuminate at any time. In addition, the vehicle failed to shift properly and was slow to pick up speed. The approximate failure mileage was 97,000.
