Since I bought my keep in July 2020 . . Everytime I've filled my gas tank all the way . . At first my Jeep would do a little jumping on regular stree as I drive towards freeway but after a little bit it would go away . . But as I continue to drive for about 15 min on freeway my Jeep begins to make this whining sound and then my Jeep would accelerate above 5 on its own (scary) then would go back to normal this usually was while going up a hill on freeway . . Whining cont. And accelerating may happen once more while going up the hill . . Then my transmission temp light will come on . I usually pull over to let my car rest because I'm scared to drive it after it had a mind of it's own. This has only happened after I fill my tank to the full . Please fix this I'm afraid it will blow my engine while on freeway ! three times this has happened after a full tank has been applied . So step by step I fill tank to full as I drive on street towards freeway it will jump a little but will go away by time I get on freeway once on freeway car seems fine for about 10 -15 min then I start to hear a whining sound almost as if it's stuck in a gear . . As I'm driving up a hill on freeway the whining gets worse and my rpms don't seem to go above 50 then my my engine will just accelerate on its own all the way passed 5 . . Then return to normal quickly after . . Whining noise cont. As I'm still driving about 10 min later my transmission temp light will come on . That's when I get off freeway and pull over to let my car rest for a little bit . . Once I get back on freeway after 10 min rest everything is back to normal no mor whining and temp light is gone . . This is an issue after filling up my tank to the full!.

There have been several occasions now when my Jeep has slowed to a complete stop while driving on the highway. It starts with a high whining noise then the coolant light comes on followed by my Jeep losing the ability to accelerate. The highway speed is 75 mph and this makes for a very dangerous situation. Jeep can be held accountable for any accident or injury that occurs during this malfunction.

When accelerating the car occassionally would act like it wanted to go, then slowly start to shift to move. There would be a whining noise when slowing down, but no lights came on until 2 days before. The check engine light came on and the car stopped moving while I was driving down a rural road 2 days later. . 105k miles. . Regularly serviced. .
My Jeep overheats regularly, no towing just regular colorado hwy driving, makes high pitched whining sounds, and loses power. I have to pull over and wait for the light to go off, resume driving, and pull over again when the light comes on. Over and over this happens. Dealership says no error code on the engine and there is nothing they can do.

The car was purchased for our daughter who turned (16) Nov 2014. Most of the driving took place on local roads with short-term highway miles. . (10-15 mins). The first instance occurred on July 4th, driving to relatives for a bbq & fireworks, our family took (2) cars, my daughter had been driving about 40 mins @ 75mph, when the car started making a whining noise and the temp lite appeared on her dashboard. She said the car was bogging down so she pulled over and called us. She waited 10 mins then continued the additional 15min drive without issue. We took the car into our auto repair shop, where the right front wheel bearing was replaced, as they could not find anything wrong with the engine/powertrain, fluids were fine. Total cost with labor and materials $260. 14. The 2nd instance occurred on sept 18 (today), driving to visit a friend, mainly highway miles, 75-80 mph. She called after (1. 5) hours, stating that the temp light appeared and the car was making whining noises. She said the car was not reacting right and felt it was going to stall. When she pressed the gas pedal it would not react. She pulled off the expressway and pulled into a gas station turning off the engine for about (10) minutes. She started the car and finished the last 1/2 hr of expressway miles, staying well under 70 mph, with no issues. The concern is that the problem occurs during highway traveling over 70 mph consistantly over (1) hour. Posing a safety risk of stalling or not bogging down on the highway. This car will be taken to college in the spring 2016, 2-3 hours away where she will be doing regular highway driving and getting to the destination safetly is all that matters.
