Takata recall. 6 months after being informed of the recall my airbag still hasn't been replaced. But my local Jeep dealer would be perfectly happy to sell me a brand new Jeep with a brand new airbag. Why are companies allowed to continue producing new vehicles before fixing a safety recall for existing customers? I want my vehicle fixed and safe!.

Required replacement of faulty clockspring, but my specific vehicle not included in recall.
This is the same issue for the right hand drive models that you already made Jeep extend the warranty on. The clock spring is faulty and requires replacements over the life of the vehicle. Just make the same warranty available for the left hand drive models. We are not in england, we drive from the left side. . . . . . .

This complaint refers to the existing air bag clockspring wiring failure being investigated under ea 15-007 and previously pe 15-025. It is also closely related to safety recall 11v258 which involves the same part failure. Like other owners of my 2007-2012 Jeep Wranglers the clockspring unit in my vehicle has indicated it has failed with the abs error code b1b02 - "driver airbag squib 1 circuit open". The issue happened suddenly and has persisted. The vehicle has just over 55,000 miles and during my ownership it has not been submitted to extraneous environmental factors. Jeep customer care was notified of my issue (case # 29226734) but did not provide or offer remedy.
We have received recalls for s-43, and s-33 refrencing the air bag system. We received them in April and still have not been called in to have the repairs made. Several attempts to reach Chrysler via e-mail have only resulted in getting many adds to buy cars. I want this safety problem resolved immediatly.

The clock spring failed and now the airbag, horn, and cruise control does not work. It started with a clicking noise in the steering column when turning, then after a popping noise everything mentioned stopped working. After research there are a lot of people with the same exact issue but no recall has been issued.
Clock spring needs replaced.
S33 / NHTSA 16v - 290 and s43 I have attended the appointment with the dealer and they retained the Jeep for 4 days regarding a recall. After 4 days I picked up the Jeep, but, the came with the excuse that they were waiting for the part in question. I came upset, because how they coordinated an appointment without having the airbag clockspring. After that I have called to the dealer several times following up for the installation or replacement of such part. The recall notice also described that the vehicle had an open recall (s43). This was also a surprise because I have been very diligent dealing with safety issues. The dealer in puerto rico is cabrera hrmnos in arecibo , puerto rico. I will appreciate your support to solve this safety situation. Regards, I don't have any problem with my personal information.

The contact stated that mopar was contacted regarding parts availability and the contact was informed that approval had not been granted to distribute the parts for the repair through the parts hub. The failure mileage was 111,000. Parts distribution disconnect.
I have no safety horn, no airbags, no cruise control and tire presure monitore gives faulty reading. All because of and due to a bad clock spring under the steering wheel.
I have a faulty clockspring. There is a recall associated with this: s33. Nhtsa campaign #: 16v290000. The faulty clockspring is effecting the airbags, stability control system and windshield wipers. For some reason my vehicle is not being covered by the recall.
Clock spring failed and had to be replaced.
The airbag alarm goes off randomly (it might be 5-10 seconds, or several minutes between). After researching online, I see that this is often caused by the clock spring, which was recalled on the 2007 Jeep Wrangler. Based on Jeep forums, many drivers are having this problem and I believe the part should be recalled. It is a safety issue and may affect air bag deployment.
Air bag failure. Light comes on and alarm. Dealer said there is no recall. This is expensive to fix and it is a safety issue. I see recall for right hand drive but no left hand drive.
Again I'm asking you to do your job. There are hundreds of complaints on the lhd jks clock springs being defective . If this is not a safety issue then what is? why will you not force Chrysler to fix this safety issue ? are you protecting them because the ones recalled are postal Jeeps ? what good are you if your not protecting us from bad parts ? do your job !!!!!!!!.
The contact owns a 2008 Jeep Wrangler. The contact stated that the air bag warning illuminated continuously. The vehicle was taken to an independent mechanic for diagnostic testing who stated that the air bag module needed to be replaced. The vehicle was not repaired. The manufacturer was notified of the failure. The approximate failure mileage was 100,000.
This is a known and common problem with the Jeep Wrangler. They have already recalled the 2007 model years for faulty and poorly designed clock springs and have made a replacment part that is much better. They have recalled the 2008 only right hand drive Jeeps. This is a huge safety concern giving the fact that it affects the cruise control, air bags, and horn. Shame on them for not wanting to correct and repair a major safety issue!.
Clock spring is broken, causing horn and airbag to be inoperable. Vehicle was being driven on road and subjected to normal driving conditions. Requesting NHTSA consider a recall for left hand drive vehicles similar to NHTSA recall 11v-528, (same year and model only rhd. ).
