Vehicle Overheat problems of the 2008 Jeep Wrangler

One problem related to vehicle overheat has been reported for the 2008 Jeep Wrangler. The most recently reported issues are listed below.

1 Vehicle Overheat problem

Failure Date: 05/10/2010

The contact owns a 2008 Jeep Wrangler. The vehicle was serviced for the remedy associated with recall 09v436000 (power train: automatic transmission). Upon receiving the vehicle back from the authorized dealer, the contact stated that while driving for an extended period of time, an engine warning light would illuminate on the instrument panel while driving uphill. The warning light would display that the vehicle was over heating. The contact stated that the failure was not dependent upon the speed at which the vehicle was traveling. This failure occurred three times and was taken to an authorized dealership on each occasion where the computer was reprogrammed. The failure mileage was approximately 40,000. The current mileage was 40,500.
