Steering Is Tight problems of the 2019 Jeep Wrangler

Four problems related to steering is tight have been reported for the 2019 Jeep Wrangler. The most recently reported issues are listed below.

1 Steering Is Tight problem

Failure Date: 11/15/2019

From purchase as new vehicle, steering wanders and is not tight. I have had the v41 recall with replacement steering stabilizer. While driving you must actively steer to maintain a center line in the lane. There is some play left to right in the wheel. While at speed on the highway you cannot ignore or relax the control. If you steer right you must steer left to center, the wheel does not return to center unassisted.

2 Steering Is Tight problem

Failure Date: 06/01/2019

The Jeep wanders all over the road. It is hard to stay in my lane especially when going 50 mph or greater. It is so aggravating. People honk at me. I can't look away to change the radio station because when I look back I am already wandering to the next lane. The steering has too much play. It has been this way from day one. It is unsafe to drive on the highway. I just want to put a sign on my Jeep that says, "it's the Jeep, not me. " my husband bought me this for our anniversary and I hate it. I would rather drive our 2006 Jeep that drives straight and steering is tight. We already did one factory recall and it did nothing to change the steering.

3 Steering Is Tight problem

Failure Date: 04/02/2019

Vehicle steering is extremely hard to keep vehicle in a straight line. Especially difficult at higher speeds, 60+. You are constantly fighting the vehicle. Should you look away just for a second you find yourself veering to one side or another. Very unsafe in my opinion. You must be extremely vigilant at all times. Less than 300 miles on my vehicle. I will be taking it back to the dealership to see what is wrong. Searching Jeep forums this appears to be a big problem with other Jeep owners and nothing is being address by Jeep. I purchased this vehicle on 04/02/2019.

4 Steering Is Tight problem

Failure Date: 05/04/2010

Purchased a 2019 Wrangler unlimited for over $40,000 on may 4, 2019. Immediately noticed an issue with steering. It sways left to right when driving straight and it's exhausting to keep the car in the lane. Brought it to the dealer at around 100 miles and they said nothing was wrong. I asked the tech to take mine and one on the lot for a test drive which he did. He immediately saw the issue. He searched for a fix and found that there was a part he could try to replace to resolve the issue (track bar). I brought the car back at 212 miles and they did the work. He said that's basically all they could do and hopefully it fixed it. Well it didn't fix it at all. It's still exhausting to drive the car because you can't keep it in the lane. Now when I drive straight, the steering wheel is crooked and feels like it's swaying left to right worse. I am honestly not comfortable driving this car far away from my home or on a highway because I may hurt some. I have had Jeeps my whole life and my last two 2010 and 2011 drove perfect and the steering was tight as can be. When you drove straight the car just went straight. I am going to contact my dealer again to see if Jeep has released anything on this issue. I see many complaints about this here so I know it's not me and I feel this is an absolute safety issue for both me as a driver and anyone around.
