The contact owns a 2007 Jeep Wrangler 4x4. While driving at 65 mph the steering locked, instrument panel dimmed, and the vehicle shut off. The vehicle restarted automatically approximately four seconds later. The vehicle was taken to a shop and no failures were found. This morning, while driving 65 mph the failure's recurred. The contact stated that the radio shut off without warning and the vehicle automatically restarted four to five seconds later. The contact never turned the key in the ignition, changed lanes, or changed gears when the vehicle restarted. The dealer could not duplicate the failure and stated that the vehicle had an investigation open with NHTSA, action # pe07009 regarding electrical system power train:automatic transmission:control module (tcm, pcm)).
