Gasoline splash back when filling gas tank. The Jeep was in park and level. Gasoline burped out of fuel filler tank tube. All over the Jeep and ground. This happens every time I fill the tank. Also gets on clothes.

Purchased 2007 Jeep Wrangler in 2015 and have had problems with fuel splashing from gas tank when filling up. This should not happen. Fuel should stop once tank is full. I have noticed this is a problem with many Jeep Wrangler (jk) owners and would like to know if a recall is in effect or how it can be fixed. Bottom line I have called several dealers inquiring about part cnnnx321ac, which is a recall part #, but they can't sell it to me. So, if I can't buy the part to fix and they have no recall on the car, is my only option at this point to sue the Chrysler corporation? this is a car my daughter drives and it is a safety issue not just some superficial issue with Jeep. This occurs every time she goes to the gas station to fill the Jeep. Smelling like petroleum after every filling of tank is not the right answer.

When filling up at the gas station, the fuel pump will kick off and a second later gas comes flying out of the tank and hits me, my Jeep and goes all over the ground.

When filling the fuel tank, gasoline spews out of the filler tube as the gas pump clicks off at "full" level. The vehicle was stationary and the engine was turned off. This problem happens almost every time I fill the tank.

First time filling the tank up, and out of no where gas ejected out on to me and would not stop. I had to grab the gas nozzle out to get it to stop. I was covered in flammable gas, small puddles on the ground and the gas that I couldnt get off the plastic bumper and fender, ruined them. Not to mention waisted $5 in gas and embarrassed when I had to tell the manager of the spilled gas.

When filling my Jeep with fuel, the fuel pump does not shut off quickly enough and gasoline splatters out of the tank and onto my hands, cloths, Jeep and ground. This happens every time regardless where I fill up. I use qt, bp and shell stations. Some are new and some or old. This can not be a pump issue but a Jeep issue.

When filling my Jeep Wrangler jk 2009 gas tank it over fills when pump shuts off the spilling gas all over my 2009 Jeep Wrangler jk and ground.

I bought this Jeep brand new and almost from the start when filling up at the gas station. When the tank is full the nozzle shuts off then a lot of gas comes out the fill pipe I have tried different gas stations all the same problems. I have tried going slow took almost 20 minutes to fill the gas tank and still gas come splashing out of the fill pipe. I think their is something defective in the fill pipe that doesn't trigger the shut off in the nozzle fast enough.

When filling the Wrangler with fuel, the tank consistently and regularly overfills and spits fuel out of the top of the fuel tank towards the gas pump nozzle, the person filling the Wrangler, the exterior of the Wrangler, and onto the floor next to the Wrangler. There is a TSB for repair of this issue, but my year is not automatically covered by that TSB. Please help.

When filling up with gasoline, the pump shuts off automatically when the tank is full then gas flows back out of the car and spills all over the ground. This has happened ever since I owned the Jeep and they want to charge $1500 to fix a design flaw. The gas volume that spills is at least a quart and creates a dangerous situation.

When filling up the fuel tank, it will either click-off every 2 tenths of a gallon or spill fuel out when attempting to fill at the slowest rate. There are no kinks or etc in the filler pipe or vent pipe.

When filling the gas tank it regularly overflows if I don't manually stop the pump prior to the automatic shut off occurring when it detects a full tank. This happened at multiple gas stations of multiple brands so it's not isolated to one station or pump type. This is dangerous because fuel spills all over my car as well as the ground at the pump.

Jeep Wrangler 2005 and 2006. When filling the gas tank at the gas station, gasoline will overflow momentarily, spilling gasoline on the ground from the gas tank filler tube when the gas pump fuel nozzle shuts off. This has happened on the 2005 and 2006 model year Wranglers I have own(ed). Reviewing comments on the internet this is a common problem with these model years. An additional problem is the internal sticking (due to internal valve plug expansion) check valve that causes spillage also may not permit proper fuel filling.

Upon filling the Jeep with gasoline (since owning the car), no matter the pump/station, the automatic stopping mechanism will stop filling when it is full and a "bubble" will back flow causing gasoline to shoot out of the car and soak the bumper/fender/me. I do not feel safe at a gas station covered in gasoline so have tried fixing this. I have replaced the evap canister but am not sure what to do rather than get an entire new gas tank.
