1 Power Steering Pump problem of the 2019 Jeep Wrangler

Failure Date: 10/26/2020

When the vehicle hits 25-35mph, the power steering cuts out completely and can only be controlled via aggressive wrestling with the steering wheel. Vehicle was towed to dealer 11-2-20. Dealer reported that they could not replicate problem and that I probably needed a new power steering pump but that the part is on back order until 4/2021 and that I should come and get the car. Ii was also told that I was #20 on a list of Wrangler rubicons that are waiting for this part and that they only get one power steering pump from the manufacturer every 30 days. I picked up the car on 11-9-20 and the power steering cut out immediately on the drive home once I hit 35mph. So, I currently have a Jeep that has broken power steering that is sitting in my garage and no solution being offered from the dealer/oem. This car is not even 1 year old.

6 Power Steering Pump problem of the 2006 Jeep Wrangler

Failure Date: 08/14/2010

2006 Jeep Wrangler -- bought used with less than 30k miles on it. Wobble at about 55mph, intermittently. Mine was solved by replacing the stabilizer bar, had nothing to do with tires, although the first time it happened, I thought I had blown a tire. Gas tank filling -- same problem, the pump doesn't shut off unless you pump the gas slowly. First few times, spewed gas all over the Jeep, myself and the pavement. Now I listen as the tank fills and slow the fill as I know it's starting towards full. With the slowing, the pump does shut off but it's a good idea to have some idea how much gas the tank will take at certain fuel readings.

7 Power Steering Pump problem of the 2007 Jeep Wrangler

Failure Date: 06/18/2010

Bought 2007 Jeep Wrangler unlimited x in April 2010. 2 months later while filling it up at the gas station the gas came pouring back out. I thought pump was broken actually informed clerk. Happened again 3 fill-ups later. Around that time started having a shimmy in front end. Brought it back to dealer on several occasions. Was told they never heard of gas coming back out I must be doing something wrong and the shimmy was "normal" for Jeeps. Been having major issues with this truck it has been in the shop more than any vehicle I have ever owned. I've only bought used. I've had to have the 02 sensors changed 4 times. I have my tires balanced several times. My tires rotated. Alignments, etc. I have also replaced the steering damper. Fast forward to 2013. Shimmy is so bad I almost took out another driver. Thankfully I'm a commercially trained driver otherwise it could have ended badly. Still have gas pouring out every fill up. 02 sensors still keep crapping out. Head gaskets had to be replaced already. I finally had enough and told dealer they need to fix no more games and I find out about the TSB for the steering damper. Then I also have to be told that my main rear oil seal is now leaking and my tranny coolant lines are leaking??? OH and was told that all this was normal for Jeeps as well???? really!!!!! the truck only has 66k miles on it. It's all original no lift kits, no off roading, nothing. . . . This is bull. . . For the amount of money I paid for this vehicle somebody should be doing something. I find his site and lo and behold. . . I'm not the only one. . . Unbelievable!!!!.

9 Power Steering Pump problem of the 1997 Jeep Wrangler

Failure Date: 06/10/1999

Dealer said no warrenty coverage for manifold due to mileage and age. Called Chrysler help line and told maybe cold water or rain got on it and agreed I should have bought extended warrenty. Why isn't the manifold covered under the emission control warrenty. What is more important then getting the exhaust gas to the converter? instead it goes to the air and creates a safety problem if it gets in the passenger compartment. I see your data bank has other manifold failures alredy and service notices of head bolt maifold issues. Looks like a mfg. Defect since these vehicles are so young. The fuel pump was fixed under warrenty, the car would't start right. The power steering unit continues to leak slowly and the dealer suggest a seal leaking but I have to pay to fix. Great car!.
