My oil keeps on burning fast . . I had to get oil test from kia dealer but they didn't find anything wrong with the engine and no leakage. Couple months later my engine is burning my oil fast before even oil change. This is not normal. The motor will make a cluster sound while at the stop sign. Uncomfortable sound all of the sounded.

The contact's mother owns a 2014 kia Forte. The contact stated while driving at various speeds, the vehicle made an abnormal cranking sound. There was no warning light illuminated. The contact had taken the vehicle to an independent mechanic who discovered that the oil level was extremely low. The mechanic also mentioned that the vehicle was consuming oil internally however, there were no signs of any leaks in the vehicle. The mechanic also mentioned that the excessive oil burning had caused damage to the catalytic converter. The contact then took the vehicle to kia mall of georgia (4180 buford dr, buford, GA 30519) where they confirmed damage to the catalytic converter. The manufacturer was notified of the failure. The contact was informed that the VIN was not under recall and that the vehicle was no longer under warranty. No further assistance was provided. The vehicle was not yet repaired. The failure mileage was unknown.
On or about February 25, 2020while driving on the highway my engine seized and the car died and wouldn't start and I had to be towed to my house and then to the mechanic a few days later and was told by mechanic that oil was burning fast with no known reason. Also told by the mechanic that the engine is no good and I have to now replace my engine.

After repairing my car the first time 3 months ago for some major catalytic converter issues causing the car not to run, my car has now completely seized up. Since my car has hit 120k miles it has been consuming an alarming amount of oil. There were no leaks that could be identified and no major issues at the time explaining the oil consumption issue. I have had to continuously put quarts and quarts of oil in this vehicle and had repaired the cat converter issue along with replacing the spark plugs and the wiring and the normal tuneups. As I was driving down the road yesterday I noticed that my car was not accelerating as it normally does so I pulled over and to my surprise the oil I had just put in it was completely gone, no leaks, no lights, no warnings, no indication as to what was going on. I then put 2 quarts of oil in the car and drove home and realized the car was rattling a little bit, I let it sit in park while on and then headed out down the road where the car made a loud hiss noise and jerked across the road. My engine had seized up with no explanation and almost caused me to wreck. I now have a vehicle with a seized engine and still owe 7k on it. I really hope that these year/make/model is looked into because this could have been potentially dangerous and it is not fair to the people who have spent their hard earned money on a brand new car.
Purchased on June 27 2019. 3 weeks later I stoped by dealership for assistance it's been a nightmare since. Car had been consuming oil and I've spent thousands of dollars for repairs. Just had master mechanic replacing catylic converter and it's already plugged. Kia on both accounts assured me nothing wrong, nice car has 23 brains it's the echo drive. Engine light blinks and no one can get a code reading, no one but kia. Both service rep, tyler and kia consumer affairs agent, dean thought I was, and referred to me as wharton whom purchased the car 2014 and had engine problems according to these individual that thought I was there for same reason. Dean from kia consumer affairs specifically told me during a phone conversation Dec 2020, and verifying my VIN number that my vertical was in fact on recall list. I call Jan 20th 2021 and told I was not and case was closed due to I being informed of recall to which I called after seeing arrival on line. I'm advised to go on your website with my VIN number and find out if I'm part of recall. I am not. Why????. This car obviously is defective if I'm thought to be shannon trying to take kia for a ride and I'm the 3rd owner with same problem as prior owners. This car is not safe. I've turned to kia to begin with and paid for compression tests, replaced catalyc converter over 1000. 00 dollars and it needs replacing again due to oil consumption. Fact is I was sold a car with engine problems and have almost been rear end due to power loss, limp mode tyler called it. . . It's not safe. What can I do now I know I'm out 9000. 00 dollars on this car on my ssdi pay. Much more details documented who what when here and what was said. Times and dates for entire duration of events starting with kira at ron bouchards in fitchburg mass July of 2019 and oct 2020.
The airbag light came on, and the horn as well as the steering wheel buttons have all stopped working. I was told that a spring clock needs to be replaced somewhere but I bought the car brand new and its only 6 years old. Also my catalytic converter went out and my car is burning fuel and or oil and no one can tell me why. I wasn't doing anything but a normal drive when these issues began to occur. Help.
Vehicle burns all oil in between 3000 mile oil change. No low oil pressure warning light. Lagrange GA kia dealership did not detect any leaks .
I have the Forte koup sx tgdi trim. I was driving on freeway at 75-80 mph. I noticed I was not able to gain enough speed to pass slower traffic. Also noticed that once speed slowed to 65-70 mph the was no power when trying to accelerate. However the car still was able to regain speed and maintain once desired speed was reached. I then heard a noise when accelerating. It sounded as if something was binding up. I assumed it was the turbo. I pulled off an exit shut the car off. I let the car sit for a minute and then started it. The engine seemed to be louder than normal. I put the car in drive and could hear the noise in the turbo again but it was not as if something was binding it was it was loud air. I drove approx. 1 block and noticed smoke. I pulled over shut the car off and looked under the hood walked around the car did not see any smoke from anywhere. Turned the car back on, no smoke, engine was quieter, drove another block and began billowing behind the car the engine at this point came on. Pulled into a parking lot shut the car off and did a walk around. White smoke was coming from both exhaust pipes. Had car towed to kia dealership. They have had the car over a month. Spool on turbo flew off and oil was sucked through exhaust. The no warning lights has been explained to the failure of O2 sensors, turbo spool, and some part other being off balance to all happening simultaneously. After a month a picked the car up and have aprox 80 miles and the engine light is on. Dealership service said t is from oil burn off and nothing to clear it. My display for rear camera is not working and no eta for part to be available.
This engine has a widespread problem of ticking coming from the top part of the engine, and issues with oil including burning oil. I personally have experienced both despite many efforts to try to remedy the problem. Many other drivers of the same car have had these same issues which have led to scoring in the cylinders and complete engine failure. I myself am also very close to engine failure. Many people including myself believe that there is an underlying issue(s) causing these problems in the theta ii engines. Many people in canada have had their engine replaced for the same problems.
