When I move my steering wheel side to side I hear a weird clunking like noise. I first noticed this while parking in my driveway. It occurs while the car is sitting still, however have not tried it while car is moving. Also while driving on the highway last week (approx 60 mph) my steering wheel began to vibrate moderately. I had not noticed the vibration prior to last week or the clunking noise before 9/26/20. I have a video with clunking noise occurring if needed.

My steering wheel would shake, move up and down, make clicking and knocking noises as I am driving. When I hit a speed bump the noises get worse in my steering wheel and the shaking and moving gets worse. Took my car to kia dealership they fixed it & I paid around $80. Now I found there's a recall on the cufflinks in the steering wheel. Kia knew about this problem and didn't notify me & charged me to fix it. The only reason I found out about it was my car wouldn't start and I had my car towed to kia & asked about other recalls. I had my engine replaced due to recall & I have extended warranty on the engine replacement. But kia doesn't want to replace my starter. Sound familiar? kia did the same thing to me with my steering wheel, they made me pay to fix the steering wheel and now say I can get reimbursed and there's a recall. Now they want me to pay for the starter but my engine had a recall which replaced the starter and battery. Kia replaced 5 out 7 batteries when they replaced the recalled engines. I will try to get reimbursed from kia for the steering wheel repairs now that I found out there's a recall on the shaking steering wheel. But I couldn't find the recall online anywhere? I bought my kia in 2019 and I've had problems ever since I bought it! kia wants me to pay for it out of pocket and then they tell me it's a recall later on so I can get reimbursed!.
When I am driving more than 65 mph, my steering wheel shakes for 3 seconds, stops, and then continues until I go under 65 mph. When I drive over a bump or object, it shakes as well. There is a loud clicking when turn the wheel left or right.
The steering wheel makes a clicking sound when you turn it while stationary and driving. While driving the steering wheel shakes really bad and makes a really loud rattling sound.
Tl- the contact owns a 2013 kia Optima. The contact stated that while driving at speeds above 50 mph the steering wheel would shake and vibrate. After having work done on the last recall, I noticed there is a rattling near the steering wheel on every bump in the road I hit. It doesn't matter how big or small. The steering wheel shakes and the rattling has since then gotten louder and worse. I fear there is something loose either within the steering wheel and components or the bars underneath. I cannot seem to find exactly what it is but its on the front driver side of the car. It is only happening while the vehicle is in motion.
My steering wheel shakes when I am coming to a stop at a high speed.
The steering wheel is shaking making noises when operating.
Steering wheel shakes while in motion ( 60-80 mph ). Ride is smooth until tires roll over imperfection in road. Steering wheel and front-end begins to shake violently. Shaking stops when turning right or left and begins again once vehicle has straightened out.
Electrical rack and pinions recall. Steering wheel feels loose. Steering wheel starts shaking at approximately 65-70 mph.
The steering coupling in the steering wheel has gone bad causing the steering wheel to shake badly when stopping and especially when I hit a bump or pothole. Seems to be getting worse.

My tires have had issues with extremely quick ware on the outside tread since about a year after purchase of the vehicle brand new in 2011. I have been told multiple times that it was just time to change the tires or have them rotates/balanced. The dealership wanted me to pay for an alignment and I took it somewhere else for a 2nd opinion - got an alignment done (which helped for about a month) took it back to the dealership, had it reset to factory settings - and the problem continues. . I have gone through so many tires. . . In addition, I now recently have an issue with a very loud clanking noise in the steering column, very intense steering wheel vibration in addition to a click noise when I turn hard right or left, it almost feels like the steering wheel is loose somewhere.
Clicking in the steering wheel with vibration. The only time it doesn't click is when going completely straight. It occurs the whole time I'm driving.
The contact owns a 2012 kia Optima. The contact stated that while the driver was driving at 65 mph, the steering wheel began to shake violently with a loud noise. The contact coasted over to the side of the road. The contact was able to resume driving. The failure recurred twice. The vehicle was taken to a dealer where it was diagnosed that there was wear and tear in the steering and needed to be repaired. The vehicle was not repaired. The manufacturer was not notified of the failure. The approximate failure mileage was 73,853.
Steering wheel shakes, rattles, and clicks when turning. It sounds like something is loose. Going over any thing that is not level (ex. Railroad tracks, speed bumps etc) causes the steering wheel to rattle and shake also even if you are not speeding. It will occur in motion and even if the vehicle is in park, and off. I am not really sure what this issue is or what really caused it.
