Brakes are so bad that when step on brake pad it goes to the bottom of the floor panel . If going at avergae speed to stop instant do not count stopping any time cause the brake system is so bad, yes we have take it to the shop. They are tired seeing us their . Also suggest that I sell the car. They don 't under stand that this a hazard problem my life is an danger in the road cause of this brakes. This has being a problem still we got the car. The just do not want to hear about. We have drive other car and the brakes are like that. Hope you can make a different to avoid any danger matters out in the road. The other was driving in the middle of rush hour the windshield rubber seal flys off out now where. Then call dealer had to wait a week now that suggest not to drive on the freeway or go slow by living in a fast city it easy to put my life in danger. Would like know what rate the car is rate cause my insurance rate in up cause of preforms of the kia but they did not that informantion the suggest you all for the answer. Thank you . Mrs . Here's a really bad rubbing sound. Consumer feels as though brakes may lock up. Took to dealer , and dealer said consumer would have to get more mileage before they could change the brakes.

While driving down a highway consumer tried to slowdown and brakes did not work ,and steering wheel locked up. Had to hit a guardrail to stop, airbags didnt deploy.

The brakes and rotors were replaced about a month after the vehicle was purchased. Nlm.

Vehicle goes through stop signs, pedal goes to the floor ,and vehicle will slow down, but will not stop. Consumer contacted dealer, but problem was not resolved. Vehicle has been to dealer 6 times for brakes. Please provide any further information.

Vehicle is having constant brake problems. It has been taken to dealer on 7 different occasions for brake problems. Dealer only provided one remedy by changing brake pads. This defect has resulted in an automobile accident. Also been taken to dealer on 10 more occasions for various of problems. The dealer can not find the cause of the problem.

Brakes are wearing out excessively & deteriorating. Whenever brakes are applied, they cause vehicle to shake. Took vehicle to dealer & mechanic changed pads & warped rotors. Also rotated & cleaned the brakes. Rear seat belt lock is too high. Air conditioner draining on floor, dealer cleaned a/c drain. Consumer feels a hard shock when shifting into gear. Engine hard to start, dealer replaced the flywheel. Binding lever failed on the parking brake.

I started taking my car in to the mechanic at the dealership shortly after I purchased the car about the car not shifting correctly and being so sluggish. I'm not sure about the dates I took the car in but it was several times. I was told that nothing was wrong or they couldn't find any problems. It has just gotten so bad that I'm not able to drive the car now. I've had problems with the brakes, the air conditioner, check engine light coming on and staying on and the overdrive light flashing on and off. I'm sure they don't have a record of the many times I've gone by because they would usually just look at it or drive it around the block and say they couldn't find anything. Now that the warranty is out , they have come up with some suggestions at my expense. The car has never performed properly and they just kept putting me off until I finally gave up. I am unable to drive the car now because it will barely get up to 35 miles per hour. I will greatly appreciate anything you may be able to do to assist me. Thanks.

The brakes squeak and the pads were replaced at 1200 miles, the brakes failed again at 6600 miles the rotors were warped and the pads were worn and I returned the car to northwestern Dodge and kia and they replaced the pads and machined the rotors, however the stering wheel shakes and vibrates when I drive on the expressway and the brakes are still grinding. The stering wheel and column vibrates and shakes when I drive at 50+ mph. At 6600 miles the check engine light illuminated and there is a burning smell. The car dies out when I am at a stand still for no reason and without any warning. I have to start the car at least 3 times before it turns over. Overall I would say that I am disappointed with the car and the moment that I can trade it in I plan to do so and I will advise anyone who is thinking about purchasing this car to not even consider a kia (any model) because they are not well made cars.

Vehicle wouldn't start, and the battery died out. Also, when driving at any speed and applying the brakes, the brakes went straight to the floorboard.

Ongoing problem with squeaking brakes whenever brakes are applied. Vehicle been in / out of dealer shop on three occasions, and problem cannot be resolved.

Brakes are making a squeaking noise. Took to dealer and they fixed the problem.

The brake system has been experiencing continued problems, brake pulsation, noise and fading, vehicle serviced on several occasions with repairs and replacements to the system, however the system is still inadequate, the dealership states it is possibly due to design.

Since purchased the mv has been in shop for numerous (13+) problems and defects. My concern over safety issues has been dismissed or given many different answers. Dealership does not always gives repair order slips whenever the car is looked at or serviced. The safety and dependability of this mv is questionnable given the number of times in the repair shop. Dealership/manufacturer's representative claims nothing wrong, although manufacuter's representative did offer reimbursement of 3 car payments. The issue of the lack of deceleration has still to be resolved. As a female consumer, I feel that I am being taken advantage of by both the dealer and manufacturer. I believe that this particular vehicle is a "lemon" and in all likelihood will continue to problems in the future.

Ie99059, sq99020, while driving vehicle stalled unexpectedly which could have resulted in a crash. Dealer could not determine the cause of the problem. However, dealer replaced brakes. Please provide further information.

When brakes were applied vehicle experienced a loud noise and the vehicle rolled to a stop, this failure occured on four different occasions, repairs were done, problem still exist.

Front brake rotors warped twice - once at 3000 miles, once again at 6000 miles - dealer states that the new pads are "re-designes" and should correct the problem - I have yet to see an improvement.

Vehicle did not have self-adjusting rear brakes causing the front brakes to carry the braking load and wear out prematurely resulting in front end shimmy and noise (design problem). Nlm.

While driving at any speed and applying brakes, brakes are soft and go half way to the floorboard. Also, there is a squeaking noise coming from the brakes.

Was starting to slow down & had pressed brake pedal. Heard a grinding noise. Pressed harder & vehicle was not slowing down. Again pressed lightly & vehicle was able to stop. Took vehicle to dealer & mechanic informed driver owner entire braking system needed replacing. This was the 5th time it happened. Also, vehicle would not turn over when starting. Heard clicking noise. Needed 4 tries to start. Check engine light came on & stayed on.

While braking, the entire vehicle shakes, consumer had brakes replaced once but the problem still exists. Nlm.

Every other week brakes would make a grinding noise. Dealer would replace them. Please provide further information.

Brakes keep going out very quickly. Consumer has had brakes replaced 3 times within one year.
