Power Steering Light On Problems of Kia Motor Sorento

When driving 40+ mph, when the wind is blowing, the steering becomes sticky, notchy or jerky, call it what ever you please. When trying to adjust steering slightly to drive in a straight direction, my steering becomes jerky and dangerous. Kia refuses to look into this seriously. They want me spending hundreds of dollars to get it diagnosed. But how will it be diagnosed when it only happens when it is windy? please help me with this.

As I am driving over 40 mph, the vehicle will lose all power and caution lights illuminate on the dash, radio turns off, power steering goes out, car decreases speed. The car immediately turns back on, but there is no acceleration to the vehicle. This has happened 3 times in the last 5 days and it happed 3 times today March 12, 2019. All incidents were on city streets, while going straight at speeds 40 mph or more. The last time, was while I was making a right turn getting on the freeway. After each occurrence, I would safely pull off the road, turn the vehicle off, wait a couple seconds and turn the car back on. The car would resume back to normal. I have noticed that after the first time this happened, when I do the first attempt to turn the car on, it does not turn over.

Steering wheel slightly jerks on its own going down the highway. Seems. Yo be worse when the car is warmed up and driven more than 20 minuets. Both hands on the wheel to keep the car from veering the steering seems to get tight hard spots and then loose, you continually are correcting and over correcting and you end up all over your lane. When car is cold seems to go strait down the road, it's not out of alignment. 20k car. Seems to be getting worse. Taken in twice. Dealer says that's how electric steering works and I am just not used to it. How the hell could anyone!.

Was driving down the road at 55 power steering went car lost power lights went crazy car shut down. I almosted wrecked harmonic balancer fell into pieces all pully belts and pin have to be replaced. I just got this car I have a payment on it. Going to cost 1200 to fix. This is on top of it spittering and spotterying. Replace head lights the radio glichs the air bag light is on all the time and if u turn the interior dash lights up it turns the interior lights on. Over drive button does not work and transmission lags. . . I have read al these complaints over and over again why isn't anyone forcing a recall? these are serious isuses I almost got rear ended and the electrical problem could cause fire. . . . Someone is going to end up very hurt if kia is not forced to fix these. Could u imagine this happening on a thru way?.

The contact owns a 2011 kia Sorento. The contact stated while driving 30 mph the vehicle would pull to the left. The dealer readjusted the steering wheel; however, the vehicle became very sensitive when the steering wheel was moved. After the vehicle was repaired when the steering wheel was moved slightly it had too much movement in it. The contact stated the vehicle was not stable and it was unsafe to drive. The failure mileage was 3,800.
