I started the car in the driveway, shifted into reverse , lifted my foot from the brake ,the car started to roll backwards and a loud bam(like I hit something in the driveway). I got out to check and there was nothing. I pulled forward and stopped for a second trying to figure out what was going on. I shifted into reverse and backed out of the driveway and drove away and everything worked normally. This has happened to me several times in the last 6 months. It has also happened to my wife. I have also had two incidents when after starting the car I couldn't shift out of park. It just wouldn't move. The shifter was just stuck there. Turned the car off several times and it finally let me shift into reverse.

Two days later after buying the car we were driving it down the highway when I noticed that the rpms on the truck were going to high at 70 mph the rpm would be between 6 and 7 so I decide while driving to shift it to standard shift and in this particular truck the odometer shows what gear I am in and I could also shift it manually but the truck is stuck in 4th gear and at a complete stop the start doesnt seem to want to go at all and now it want go forwards or reverse. If I turn left or right signals the head lights go off. When I stopped at the gas station the passby person saw that it was a leak under the vehicle.
When I turn a corner, my kia sputter to get around the corner. This problem has almost caused me to be in a couple of accidents. I advised the dealer before about this problem and was told, "my car is ok". This is not ok. Also, when accelerating, it sounds like the transmission or some other component is slipping. It rpms goes high before decreasing back down to get into next gear. I've expressed this to the dealership as well and was told once they drove my car, "they didn't notice any change". When going up a hill, I have to press all the way down on the gas to get up the hill which causes the rpm to raise and it sounds like it's stuck in a gear or something. These issues needs to be rectified immediately. This is not normal for a car to do this. It frustrates me to tell the dealership what's going on with my car and nothing is being done. I am the one who drives my car everyday and I know when something isn't right. How can a dealership tell you what your saying isn't correct when they don't drive your car everyday? for me to have purchased this car 1 year and 4 months ago with only 2,500 miles on a 2015 kia, I really shouldn't be having these many problems. It almost make me feel like the odometer was rolled back. Just my opinion.

(1)transmission got stuck in 2nd gear while driving on the highway. Transmission would "jump" every time the car hit 50mhp. Could not replicate after sitting in driveway overnight. (2)abs light is constantly on-told it is a clock spring. Kia not worried about it. (3) doors stick-drivers door will lock itself and cannot open from outside. This happened 3x while car is running and I exited to get mail. Front passenger will not close- have to knock handle to close. (4)backup camera intermittent. (5)bluetooth does not pair with phone-intermittent. (6) gas door sticks- must hit release button dozens of times before it opens. (7) tire pressure guages broken.
Transmission is stuck in 4th gear whike driving I can go in reverse and forward but when I go forward it is stuck in 4th.
On serveral occasion during the last two (2) weeks, I have had difficulty shifting gears (e. G. Into drive, into neutral, into reverse, etc); gear shift was stuck. Only after several minutes was I able to shift gears again.
The contact owns a 2011 kia Sorento. While stopped with the brake pedal depressed, the contact attempted to place the gear shifter from drive to park but the shifter became stuck in neutral. The contact shut the vehicle off and restarted it approximately three times before being able to shift into park. The vehicle was not taken to the dealer for diagnostics or repairs. The approximate failure mileage was 18,000.
Front strut failure at 3k miles. Car randomly has a loud metallic clunk sound when starting, sometimes the car will surge/jump forward when starting (while the car is in park, parking brake on and foot on brake). The transmission shifter gets stuck in park and does not release, with great effort releasing from park(car made loud metallic clank sound and surged/jumped in reverse). I'm afraid to park too close to another car because starting car can cause collision. When the transmission is stuck the brakes depress to floor of car. Since day one the car has pulled to the right, after strut replacement the problem is worse (the faster the speed the harder it is to steer straight).
