I received a letter that my vehicle is subject to a recall for "passenger airbag may not deploy". I contacted my dealer and they said there is not a remedy at they do not know when the remedy will be available. Possibly not until 3rd quarter of 2024. I asked what if the airbag is needed to deploy while they figure out a remedy, they stated. "we hope this does not happen". Offering me nothing but hope that no one dies from their error. It is nice to know that Lexus offers hope instead of safety for me and my family.

No lamps on at all. Car was in a major accident and no airbags went off. Was hit almost head on by a ram pickup at approximately 45 miles an hour and then the truck went down the drivers side of the car car was stopped at a red light at the time of the incident.

Front seat passenger air bag recall and it has been over a year and they are still waiting for the parts. The recall says that the air bag may not deploy when it is supposed to and could cause injury to the occupant. I would think this would be a high priority for Lexus to fix the problem. Recall on my vehicle has been out for 1. 5 years. Dealer states no parts yet & that I should be fine. But I don’t feel safe if my passenger air bag won’t deploy in any emergency.
There is an active recall for my vehicle involving the passenger airbag potentially not deploying. This is a huge safety risk and the remedy is still not available. The active recall was first initiated in December of 2023.

The contact stated that his view was obstructed due to the air bag deployment, and he briefly lost control the vehicle and the vehicle came to a complete stop after crashing into a light pole. The remaining air bags did deploy. No warning lights were illuminated. The vehicle was towed to a tow yard and was deemed a total loss by the insurance provider. A police report was filed, and injuries were reported. The contact was transported by air to an area shock trauma center and treated for a broken neck, a broken right shoulder, loss of four teeth, a laceration requiring 40 stitches, and later required reconstructive surgery on both his right leg and right foot. The manufacturer was not notified of the failure. The failure mileage was unknown.

The passenger side airbag is shrinking and seems to be collapsing into the dashboard. There is an indicator light on the passenger side that is lit up noting that "airbag off," so apparently there is no airbag protection for passenger. Three days ago, the right side of the windshield - passenger side, and the passenger window and passenger side back seat window, were all moist and foggy in the morning. There were no windows opened. I think the airbag situation is causing the airbag to leak moisture into the surrounding windows and the passenger side of the car. I don't know what this fluid/moisture is composed of, but I can only imagine it must be some type of chemical - something that you do not want to be leaking into the car on a daily basis.

The contact's wife owns a 2019 Lexus Es350. The contact stated that while attempting to park in between two vehicles with his foot on the brake pedal, the vehicle independently accelerated without warning. The vehicle jumped the parking barrier and hit stanchion which caused the vehicle to stop. The airbags did not deploy and the vehicle's electrical warning sensors also failed to operate as needed. No injuries were reported at the scene. Both fire and police reported immediately to the scene and a police report was filed. Due to the failure, the vehicle was towed to a dealer and the contact was given a loaner vehicle. The manufacturer was also notified of the failure and the contact agreed to have the black box inspected for an investigation. The contact was informed that an investigator would be sent to the dealer and that the investigation would last approximately two months. The vehicle remained in the possession of the dealer. The failure mileage was approximately 18,400.
Car was recalled for faulty air bags. I have tried numerous times to speak with someone,always with the same result-I am transferred 2 or 3 times and then I am promised a call back. I have not received a call back as of 6/20/2022. I think the first time I called was over a year ago. I am sure I called at least 4 times and spent many hours on hold being transferred. I have other things to do than sit on hold. I would like the problem fixed.
Incident on 10/13/2020 on Tuesday October 13th. 2020 I was driving my 2010 Lexus Es 350 in diamond bar, CA 91765. I got hit on my side by a speedy car (ran red light) he was driving at speed of 55 mph. I got multiple fractures (no air bags were deployed) and later on hospital admission due to life serious complications. Now I’m dealing with continuous pain, inability to back to normal life style and a must have joint replacement due to joint damage (bone and cartilage). I have police report/total loss report have details about car damage and countless medical care and hospital admission for the implication of the accident. Tl-the contact owns a 2011 Lexus Es350. The contact stated that while her son was driving at 70 mph. Without warning an abnormal noise appeared from the right passenger wheel. With in seconds the vehicle lost control, the contact son depressed the brake padel which failed to engaged, causing the contact to crashed into a ditch flipping over the vehicle causing, the contact son to hit the windshield. No dealer was contacted. The manufacturer was made aware of the failure as a claim was filed. However no further assistance was taken. The failure mileage was approximately 89,000. Ck.
I received a letter to take the vehicle to nearest dealer for air bag recall replacement process, and I called and initiated online chatting w/ the Lexus air bag recall support team numerous times but failed to get a response from them. Online chat representative stated they can't help with scheduling, and representatives over the phone, more than 6 times of attempt, either hung up during the call and kept on transferring. It happened since March on a different dates and they still refused to complete the appointment scheduling process.
I purchased Lexus Es350 in July 2019 and learned that the vehicle had safety recalls 20v012000, 20v682000 identified as early as January 2020, high risk fuel pump related issues where a low-pressure fuel pump inside the fuel tank may fail increasing the likelihood of a crash and life threatening. Lexus has been too complacent and till date, still hasn't come up with a remedy. When I reached out to the dealer for a replacement or a repurchase for safety sake they refuse to assist in any capacity. Need your assistance pushing Lexus recall this vehicle. I do not want to put my family in danger driving this vehicle. I appreciate your help resolving the issue.
Light can on and off 12/20/2019 when I was driving, I pull into parking lot and cut off engine. . . Waited a few minutes and started car back up it went away, the next day 12/21/2019 when I started up my car it came on while still park and stay on, not a good feeling .

The passenger air bag appears to becoming detached from the dash. It seems that it may deploy at any given time. This does not feel safe to me as my family rides in the car with me.
I have had my Lexus since 2007 I have many times recieved letters for my recall on the air bags recall id rtpw-48q I called and spoke with Lexus who then set up an account with me and then found me a location to have the recall fixed this was around October of 2018 since then I have had some troubling findings that I believe my husband at the time has possibly done things to my car that could potentially harm or kill not only me but my 6 year old I do no my dash has been removed and replaced and since iv seen my husband in his mechanic shop pull dashes off I no he is experienced I was also unexpectedly his on my driver's side about 9 months ago and the car sped off and I was told to not call the police but a state rd worker witnessed it what I need is for someone to help me I know these things are not manufactured problems besides the airbag please can you help me if recently found that my brakes seem to be not stopping as well and it sound like there bad however my brakes were done about a year ago by my husband and this happened over night please I need a honest person to look at my Lexus and see if alterations have been made and verify my recall my recall on Lexus website says my VIN is not correct for the recall.

Takata recall the manufacturer/dealer has yet to repair/replace the faulty airbags. I have been in a 'loaner' vehicle for 10 months.
