Lexus ES350 owners have reported 16 problems related to air bag light on (under the air bag category). The most recently reported issues are listed below.
Faulty airbag harness wirring. Dear sir or madam, this is to report that 2007-2012 is 250, is 350 and ES 350 has faulty airbag wiring harness which disables the airbags. Clublexus. Com has received hundreds of complaints regarding this. The repairs will only be done or correct if the vehicle is under 6 years old or 70,000 miles, whichever comes first. Few thousand customers have cars less than 70,000 miles buy beyond 72 months but Lexus refuses to rectify this TSB warning under the warranty. It is not our faults that the vehicles have been driven less than 70,000 miles in 6 years. The cost to repair this is in the upwards of 4000$. This is ridiculous on the part of Lexus and NHTSA. The airbag wiring should be included in the recalls along with the takata recalls as they are connected but Lexus refuses to agree to the consumer complaints and have dared many customers to challenge NHTSA to get it covered under recall. Please help thousands of Lexus drivers and their families from this fatal TSB fault which Lexus refuses to fix. Further, Lexus stated that "if the fault is covered by the recall, it will be fixed without fail". So far Lexus wants to get richer by charging consumers $4000. 00 for a part that they installed to big with. Please check the clublexus. Com forum regarding the airbag lights coming on and the reaction that Lexus has submitted to its customers. They are willing to put their customers and their families lives in danger just because NHTSA did not tell them to include airbag harness wiring in the takata recall, even if the vehicles are beyond warranty repairs. Please help us in these dire and unsafe circumstances. Thank you.

Passenger occupancy sensor error code was detected and now airbag light is turned on the dashboard. I took it to the dealership and called the corporate office to help pay for it and they denied the request. The dealer is charging $1800 for the part and $800 for labor. I just got my transmission rebuilt and now dealing with airbag issue. There's been a recall for another air bag issue on the passenger side which the corporate took care of this they will not help with the occupancy sensor not working. Please assist us on how they expect the consumers to pay such a price to drive with working airbag. I believe there's been many Es350 2007 model that's been affected by this same problem and I strongly feel it should be part of the recall.

Takata recall, this is a high risk to the potentially injury of myself and my passengers. Time frame to resolve this has been unacceptable. Airbag light is currenlty on.
Takata recall although it is about 4 month since this recall and issue was reported there is no words yet when this issue will be resolved. We are a family of 5 and have to use the front seat, but according to the letter we have received it is very dangerous to sit on the front passenger seat. The air bag light came on a few days ago. Please, advise.
Takata recall and ecu. My air bag light came on not registering the passenger seat when someone sits in it. No oe rarely sits in that seat, the time te light came on noone was in it. The car was still. Went to Lexus dealer cost me 450 for them to calibrate it. Still issue states it the ecu being faulty and it cost 2100 to fix, for a sensor thats crazy, this is not a typical wear and tear issue, this should be a recall too. Pay too much for a Lexus to have faulty part especially since this model has had over 5 recalls in the last 10 years since the car was made ridiculous, this should be a Lexus repair not car purchaser.
The set bet light came on . . Whn I turn the car off it goes off then in a day or two it cames back on took it to Lexus they they charge me 280$ jus to tell me that they don't no y the light or the vsc light came on an the air bag light came on. . .

The contact owns a 2007 Lexus Es350. The passenger air bag light began illuminating upon starting the vehicle while she was seated in the front passenger seat. The failure recurred intermittently, but only when she was seated in the front passenger seat. Other passengers could sit in the seat without the failure recurring. The vehicle was taken to an authorized dealer on numerous occasions where the computer system was reset. The failure continued to recur so the vehicle was taken back to an authorized dealer where the computer occupant detection sensor was replaced. The failure continued to recur so the vehicle was again taken to an authorized dealer where the front passenger seat was replaced. The failure continued to occur. The failure mileage was 12,000 and the current mileage was 37,000. The VIN was unavailable.
2007 Lexus Es350-1-adult passenger sat in the front seat and I notice that the airbag off indicator light was on. 2- I have experienced a dangerous sudden surge of acceleration when braking, even with all weather mat properly secured. I believe the surge may be a software and/or sensor flaw. 3- when the engine is first started (cold-after sitting), the mechanical engine noise is very pronounced as if proper lubrication is not occurring.
