3 Air Bag Not Deploy problem of the 2007 Lexus ES350

Failure Date: 12/03/2018

Lexus ES 350 2007 dashboard is melting and compromised. Due to the sticky mess the airbags will not deploy properly and death will likely occur. Very concerned about the toxicity of the dashboard as well. It's melting, changing color from black to white and cracking. This carcinogenic material is now poisoning all who ride in the vehicle. Included photo does not convey the glossy melting ,sticky reality of it all. The glossy melting reflection causes lots of glare and impairs visibility on sunny days. This issue must be resolved before a life is taken needlessly. Lexus refuses to replace the dashboard even though they admit that its a compromised part and have deceptively allocated this safety issue as a warranty problem that has expired. Because my vehicle is seldom driven and garaged (69,717k miles) problem did not surface until now.

22 Air Bag Not Deploy problem of the 2010 Lexus ES350

Failure Date: 06/16/2011

The 2010 Lexus e35 I was a passenger in was rear ended in a multi-car accident on June 11, 2011, on interstate highway 80 in roxbury township, new jersey. There were three cars involved in this collision and the Lexus I was riding in was the only car whose air bags failed to deploy. As result I sustained a severe case of whiplash involving my right shoulder and arm from which I continue to suffer almost constantly daily discomfort three years later. This injury would have been completely avoided had these takata airbags deployed as they were intended to do as result of direct impact by another vehicle. I urge the national transportation safety board to commence a robust and vigorious criminal inquiry into these failed takata airbags that Lexus installed on their vehicles during 2010.

23 Air Bag Not Deploy problem of the 2008 Lexus ES350

Failure Date: 08/02/2010

I have been involved in two separate collisions this year with my 2008 Lexus Es350 and neither time did my air bags deploy. The first time was in may/June of 2010 and I hit a curb avoiding a collision with a vehicle that cut my off. I was alone in my vehicle traveling at about 30-40 miles an hour and the airbags did not deploy. Exactly two months ago, I was involved in another collision with a Hyundai accent in which I rear ended that vehicle at a speed of approximately 45 mph and again the airbags did not deploy causing me to hit my face on the steering wheel, having a nose and facial contusion, then being whipped back from the seat belt. Progressive insurance refused to total the vehicle despite the extensive damage and they still can't figure out the computer related issues. Progressive claims that the airbag issue had nothing to do with the accident and that I need to take that up with Lexus. That process is extremely frustrating and designed to avoid any consumer from getting their rightful restitution and service for a potential dangerous situation. I am a realtor and cannot risk taking my clients in my vehicle since I am afraid that if I am involved in another accident, my passengers will be at risk. I do not know what to do, I am paying high monthly payments for luxury and safety that Lexus is not backing. Putting my clients and my children and family in danger. This is very serious and needs to be addressed with Toyota/Lexus! please help.

24 Air Bag Not Deploy problem of the 2007 Lexus ES350

Failure Date: 03/29/2010

Front end crash of my 2007 Lexus ES 350 with a Ford f-150. My car was totaled and the front 1/3 of my vehicle was damaged. There was no airbag deployment in my vehicle. Lexus tells me that the front sensors were not activated because I was in the stopping mode with the front end down and hit low on the passenger doors of the high profile truck. I have pictures and can provide. I find it disturbing that the airbags did not deploy given the extent of front end damage and I would hate to think that one has to hit the sensors just right to get the airbags to deploy. If not an outright mechanical failure, then certainly a design defect.
