The infotainment center is "ghosting". This is a problem already recalled by Mazda but my car was not included. This started about 10 months ago. The result is that the gps system will shut down, the car, if linked to my phone will automatically dial random numbers, the radio stations will randomly change or be deleted. The gps system has now become completely non functional. Having this random activity while driving or stopped creates a hazard as it requires frequent adjustments using my hands to correct the problems. The lack of a functioning gps is also problematic. This problem was brought to the attention of a Mazda dealer about 6 months ago and I was told no warranty repair was available. I also contacted Mazda USA by phone and was told no service would be provided. I have also sent a certified letter to Mazda USA with no response.

I drove my car to the store this morning listening pandora (bluetooth) and on my way back home the infotainment center just started to reboot continuously after I found out resetting it could help I did the back+nav+mute but it didn't work I went to the Mazda forum and found out this was an issue with many Mazda fans I also found out that replacement of the cmu is very expensive since this is an issue with so many Mazda fans why isn't there a recall to address this problem? my backup camera works and one radio station there is no gps and bluetooth just continues to reboot even while driving.

Gps audio goes dead and endangers driver's & occupants ' safety while driving through unfamiliar allegedly crime-ridden parts of strange cities & neighborhoods. Not an electrical problem since lights and wipers etc work. . Seems like defective gps with potential to endanger safety of driver & passengers.
