1 Water Pump problem of the 2007 Mercedes Benz E350

Failure Date: 07/19/2019

The contact owns a 2007 mercedes-benz E350. While driving various speeds, the battery warning indicator illuminated. In addition, the power steering became difficult to maneuver and the vehicle stalled. Also, the check engine warning indicator remained illuminated. The contact was unable to restart the vehicle. The vehicle was towed to mercedes-benz of west chester (located at 1260 wilmington pike, west chester, PA 19382, (484) 313-1100) where it was diagnosed that the fuel pump needed to be replaced. The fuel pump was replaced; however, the failure recurred twice. Additionally, the fuel pump filer, water pump, tensioner pulley, and serpentine belt (which was replaced nine times) were replaced, but the failure recurred. The contact was also informed that there was an electronic failure for which the mechanic was unable to repair. The contact also stated that the fuel gauge and coolant system were inoperable, and there was a failure with the water pump. The manufacturer was informed of the failures. The approximate failure mileage was 129,000.
