Vehicle Shudder Problems of Mercury Mariner

Driving my 2009 Mariner premier about 35/45 mph when wrench symbol comes on indicating throttle control powertrain / transmission problem car is not accelerating properly and transmission is jerking when I step on the gas pedal and the car shakes vibrates and feels under powered. Got home and parked it. Started it up and now check engine light is also on. Is this covered by the recall for extended warranty from Ford ?.

I was driving at 65+ mph on expressway - vehicle stopped accelerating and a violent shaking of the vehicle occurred forcing me off the highway - at this time notice an image of a "wrench" lit up on dash -- I was able to get vehicle to the dealer - not worried due to I still had 2000 miles left on warranty, only to be told this is not covered under warranty. My question is this is huge safety issue and should under no questions be a charge to the consumer. I was charged 309. 20 to replace the throttle body motor and assembly. After much research this is an ongoing problem with many of the Ford vehicles. Attached is the invoice that I had to pay. I have tried to obtain the zone rep for my area and I am having trouble getting this info from my dealer. I am still investigating as to how to obtain this info as I believe someone in higher position then dealer needs to be aware.

I was leaving a soccer game and the car went to about 40 mps and the wrench light came on and the pedal went limp. I pulled over and stopped the car and the car started shaking like it was out of time. I put it in part and shut off the car when I turned the car back on the light was off. I was able to drive 20 miles back and forth and then it did the same thing again. I have taken it to run the codes and there were none. Today 8/31/13 it did the same thing again and now finally the engine light came on. Codes were ran at autozone and p1212 throttle body sensor finally showed up. I had already checked the web the first time that it did it after talking with a mechanic that works at Ford and he told me what it was and that there was no recall. I am very upset. I just purchased this car less than three months ago!!! single mom someone help!!!.

I was leaving work and driving down a road at about 50mph when all of a sudden my car jumped and I then was coming up to a red light so I was braking and behind a car. At the red light I was a few inches from hitting the car because my car kept jumping forward. I then got scared and turned my car off and back on and it was driving fine. Then all of a sudden it did the same thing and I couldn't accelerate I would press on the gas and my car was just shaking and losing speed and wouldn't move. Thankfully I didn't drive the highway home that day.

Car seems to stall all power stays on but the car shakes and then stalls and the wrench light comes on which is a powertrain light. Took car to dealer they say there is nothing wrong with it. They reset the light. One week after bring the car to the dealer the wrench light comes back on and the car stalls this time I was going 55 miles an hour on a parkway thankfully I was able to pull over before the car stopped. Brought to dealer, nothing is wrong with the car they recommended me to leave the heat off because there could be a problem with the heat. (don't understand that) last week the car stalled again and the wrench light came on. I am currently waiting to bring it in for service. This is not good nor safe.
