7/2016 I received my first recall notice from Ford stating my passenger takata airbag was recalled. At that time my local Ford dealer said the parts were being released by "zone in the u s". 12/2017 I received my second letter from Ford now telling me that this could not be remedied until "spring 2018" and in the meantime "no one should ride in the passenger seat". Duh, just how in the heck is a household suppose to function in this manner? this is absolutely ridiculous on Ford's part.

Takara recall - I am told that the parts to repair my vehicle have not yet been produced and won't be available for some time yet. I am concerned for my safety because of this issue! why can't pressure be applied to the manufacturer to make this a priority? this dangerous situation is not acceptable and reasonable actions should be taken to immediately bring this situation to an acceptable conclusion. Thank you.
There is a recall on the airbags, in case of a car crash they will rupture. I called a Ford dealer and I was informed that they are waiting for the replacement material. What if I get in a car accident today? he said that they don't have this replacement material throughout the country. It is unacceptable!.

Takata recall - we have been waiting for at least a year to have the air bags replaced. We have just checked again, this time with 2 of our local Ford dealers and they say they have no replacements available. We live in coastal CA -- warm/humid -- so we are concerned that it is taking so long. Do we just have to sit and wait? this doesn't seem like timely replacement. Thank you.

Takata recall. I have been waiting for two years. Still no air bag replacement! Ford advises not to let anyone sit in front passenger seat, but I cannot do that. Ford has not acted in a timely manner. First notice came in summer of 2016.
Takata recall. This recall has been going on since 06/01/2016. Ford cannot fix this problem because they do not have the part. Now we have received notice that takata is bankrupt. So we are left with a vehicle which no one can ride in the passenger seat due to the possibility of death worst case scenario! do you want to put a family member in that seat and roll the dice!! someone needs to come up with a fix now. Can Ford not dismantle the air bag to not release as a temporary fix until the part comes in? at least this would be better for the owners of the vehicle so the seat could be used. Not to mention, safer! OH, but that might cost someone $ and even though it is their fault, the collateral damage is worth the risk rather than loose the $. . . . What a sad country we are living in. It has been over a year and companies cannot come up with a fix! I am shocked that Ford has not gotten more involved than they have since they will be the ones who will be sued if anything bad happens. They made the vehicles and are therefore responsible. No one really cares who made the airbags. Ford should step up and make this right.
