She is 75 plus years old and has multiple medical issues requiring many visits to the doctor's office for specific treatments. She has requested a owner vehicle and has asked if she rented a vehicle would Ford motor company reimburse her expense? both request have been denied. Had a very close incident while driving in hihesvill, GA. She avoided hitting a car in front behind the brakes failed to operate correctly. Brake failure when trying to stop at any speed including city or highway. When pushing down on pedal to slow down or stop the pedal continues to go down to floor and feels like brake pedal pulses and makes a odd noise like a gurgling and air leaking and when pumped a few times the pedal comes back to normal and I dont think it would stop if the vehicle was needing to stop in a hurry.

While driving normally on highway brakes failed , pedal went to floor no braking . Pumped brakes pedal height came back up and seemed to work normally after . Scared to death , no confidence in brakes . Happened today 2/27/2020 . Received recall notice on brakes last week . Needs fixed now.

This morning when getting on freeway, abs was activated due to snowy weather. After this, brakes needed to be pumped several times and the pedal pushed nearly to the floor for car to stop. I have received 2 notices from Ford date 1/2020 an10/20, each advising of a recall regarding the brakes. Each time , the parts are not in and I must continue to drive a vehicle that is totally unsafe. Sometimes when I hit the brakes, the pedal goes straight to the floor like there is an air pocket. I am concerned about my safety and the safety of others should these brakes fail.

Brakes failing! vehicle will stop on initial depression of brake pedal. Condition arises when once at a complete stop after initiating a braking event, if pedal is released and then re-depressed, the pedal will go to the floor and the vehicle will not stop. The contact stated that the manufacturer exceeded a reasonable amount of time for the recall repair. The manufacturer was made aware of the issue. VIN tool confirms parts not available. My daughter called me and told me about this event when it occurred, and I told her I would bring it back to the dealer that inspected it. By the time I came home to take the car back in, the car was again fine. I am wanting this issue to be pushed forward to force Ford to have the car repair the car, since it has show two separate instances of what I would call brake failure.

It first started with the passenger rear tail light. The led brakelight failed, led lights are known to last for 20+ years and these lasted about four. After that a bulb went out, when the bulb was replaced it still didn't resolve the issue. There are two components to the tail light, an inner light attached to the rear trunk and a outer light on the actual rear body. First, the inner passenger went out, then the inner driver's and then the outside passenger. Now finally, the outside driver's side has started flickering. Doing minor google searches immediately returns results with other vehicles having the same problem.

The 1st failure was ,after leaving a gas station, my brake pedal went to the floor without warning. I barely missed the car in front. After 4 months,the same thing occurred after leaving a highway at a light. Ok again for a few months,there was a 3rd incident, but I can t remember the details. I hit a small pot hole and the abs came on. I lost my pedal again. When I shut the car off, the system reset and it was fine. Now whenever the abs is used, I lose my pedal without warning. It no longer resets. My mechanic has to bleed the system to get my pedal back. Im afraid to drive the car in bad weather. I have had 6 or 7 brake failures in the last 18 months.
