While the gear shifter was placed in drive, the vehicle began to shake and the engine stalled and the check engine warning indicator illuminated. The approximate failure mileage was 192,000.
The contact owns a 2004 Nissan Altima. The contact stated that while driving approximately 55 mph, the engine suddenly stalled. The vehicle was restarted fifteen minutes later and resumed normally. The vehicle was towed the dealership who replaced the crankshaft sensor. The manufactured was contacted who determined no responsibility from the manufacturer because there was no recall on the vehicle.
