Seat belt light on the dash turned on and continued flashing. The diagnosis read on it was tensioner on system restraint. Sensor was replaced but the srs light continued to flash and now has locked my seat belts. Driver's seat belt will not release so I have been having to drive without a seat belt. All wiring on sensors on the seat belt and under the seat have been checked and are fine so there must be a faulty sensor someplace or an electrical issue causing the seat belt to lock in place.

Electrical short in wiring, affecting brake lights, radio, cruise control and warning lights. The problem is getting worse ,when driving the cruise control light comes on without engaging, the brake lights in the back of the truck are completely out.
While operating vehicle the headlights become dim, after having the vehicle inspected the headlamp connector was melted and the wiring was overheated. The harness was replaced by a Nissan dealer and it melted again 3 weeks later. Nissan has had engineers and multiple diagnostic specialists look at this problem and have found no solution. It is obvious they have used to small of a wire on the ground and not supported it correctly in the connector as the melting always begins with the ground wire. This has occurred on over 500 trucks.

Around 80,000 miles, faulty wiring in the electrical system caused the vehicle to accelerate and decelerate erratically while driving down the road, while pressing down the accelerator. After taking the truck to a Nissan service center, it was discovered there was a wiring problem in the vehicle causing this. This potentially could cause the vehicle to stall out during a turn, or while driving down a freeway, which may possibly cause an accident resulting in injury or death.

6- days after buying a brand new 2008 Nissan Frontier 2wd/se crew cab the cruise control would not stay on . On the day I went to take it back to the dealer the truck would not start, I had it towed back to the dealer where they worked on it for a week. They stated that sometimes it would start and other times it wouldn't ,they said they had to call the Nissan tech line that instructed them to check several different things but it still would not start so the tech line told them to replace the -"ipdm e/r". They said the truck was then fixed and to pick it up. I picked up the truck and went approximately 2-miles to a store and when I came back out the truck would not start again,I had it towed back to the Nissan dealer again. This time they worked on it for 6-days and they said --"checked wiring going into ipdm box, found when wiggling wires they could here a click and then the vehicle would crank ,they unplugged wiring and traced wire back into main engine harness, found wire was spliced to itself and had a loose connection, repaired wiring and confirmed operation, programmed all keys together, cleared all codes, cleared self learning control, relearned idle air volume and recalibrated steering angle sensor". They had me pick up the truck again on 9/10/08 and so far it is ok.

While driving at 55-60 mph the dashboard will go dead and odm go blank. The engine will drop to 30-35 mph, if a hot day here in TX. The car will totally die. Took to Nissan repair-will have to replace complete wiring harness & all sensors $1,500. Or more. . . Warranty does not cover. Took to another mechanic- determined it is the wiring cluster from the dash that feeds the computer. Because the computer is not receiving mph, the governor takes over and shuts the car down. Nissan has not released these parts for sale to the public. Mechanic still trying to get response from Nissan. Nissan will not recall. This happens almost everyday we drive this car. Can't afford another car, will have to find away to fix, but Nissan is not corporation.
