1 Brake Disc Pads problem of the 2016 Nissan Maxima

Failure Date: 12/01/2016

2016 Nissan Maxima breaks squeak on every stop. Dealer, hears the noise, claims resurfaced rotors, sanded break pads however the noise persists. Concern over the reliability of the breaking system. Had dealer look at the breaks 5 separate appointments. They now say the noise is associated with the pads and I have to live with it. My concern is there may be a deeper issue that they are not addressing. I commute 100 miles daily on a major highway. I am expressing this concern for someone to look into the safety of this issue. New car breaks just don't squeal on each breaking action. Please review and advise me of any avenue that I can use to get this addressed as well as take my comments to address others with the same concern. Thank you.

2 Brake Disc Pads problem of the 2001 Nissan Maxima

Failure Date: 12/28/2007

Nothing but problems since the vehicle was purchases new in '01. From replacing the alternator, strong shutter in breaks even after replacing twice and needs again, replaced rear oxygen sensors twice with now a third needed, replaced mass air flow sensor, and now vehicle is out of commission due to needing a new computer system, idle speed control sensor, and rear O2 sensors(again)! also a leaking power steering pump and power window motors are near death. I understand wear and tear on a vehicle but this is an extreme case! potential epa issues due to the oxygen sensors failing time after time.

3 Brake Disc Pads problem of the 1999 Nissan Maxima

Failure Date: 06/19/2007

My 1999 Nissan Maxima se had one coil replaced in 2003. This year I replaced the alternator as well. My airbag light flashes constantly and my clock goes in and out of service. My service engine soon light came on and the car runs very rough. When idling it sounds like a choking piece of crap and on the hills the light flashes. I was told I had a bad coil again and took it for a diagnostic that said multiple misfire and replace all six coils. I have read complaint after complaint about coils. When I bought my Maxima new I thought I was buying a car that was reliable but I am hearing that coil replacement is the rule not the exception. I also have rear brake noise. . . . Since year three of owning the car. I have replaced two sets of brake pads as well.

4 Brake Disc Pads problem of the 2003 Nissan Maxima

Failure Date: 01/17/2005

Horrible noises coming from the brakes. I went by the a Nissan dealer to have them check it out since the car had only 25500 miles on it. They said there was no recall and that the brakes needed to be replaced for both front and rear. I feel that this 2003 Nissan Maxima should not have had such a problem with so little miles on them, and from my talks with others. I heard that their have been a lot of brake repairs going on at this Nissan dealer. I just feel that the top of the line car at Nissan should not have this kind of problem. I was giving them another chance since my other 2000 Maxima had a similar problem but there was a recall on those rotors and brakes. I am very disappointed with Nissan now and may not buy another of their products again.

6 Brake Disc Pads problem of the 2000 Nissan Maxima

Failure Date: 05/01/2003

I purchased a used 2000 Nissan Maxima that had 28,000 miles on it almost 3 years ago. I have only put 6,000 miles on the car, but have had problems with the check engine light being on almost continuously since I purchased the vehicle. I took it to my regular mechanic when it had to pass smog inspection. He temporarily fixed the engine light problem, but soon as I accelerated over 50 miles per hour, the light came on again. I have also had problems with the brakes, which had to be completely replaced twice, the ignition (car wouldn't start), and, a problem with the car when downshifting (engine seizes up violently). There is also a suspension problem, as car makes loud noise every time I have to go over speed bumps. My son is ready to get his driver's license, and I will have to get rid of this car at a loss, as I do not feel the car is safe for him to drive.

7 Brake Disc Pads problem of the 2000 Nissan Maxima

While driving about any mph could step on brakes pedal to stop or to slow down, but brakes will not operate. Could feel pedal pulsing. Had taken vehicle for repairs before on pads and rotors. Currently, same repair needed to be done.
