2 Engine Clicking And Tapping Noises problem of the 2009 Nissan Maxima

Failure Date: 06/09/2014

The car has power. All electronics seem to work, however, when I depress the brake and push the ignition button the car will not start. The first time I try to start it, it will turn over very slowly. Then every time after that, it will give me a metallic clicking sound but will not turn over. I went through the cold and hot start up procedures to no avail. The car still has power, I. E. If I place the button to the on position everything will turn on electronically, but the car still will not start. I have had this problem for several months now. The battery is an interstate battery and has been tested as good. The only time the car will start now is if I get a jump.

Everytime I drive the vehicle they're a clunking noise when the it reaches 35 mph. Also when I start the car they're a different idling noise, I'm not sure how if it's the exhaust system or if they're a loose bolt that's causing this. When to Nissan numerous times and they couldn't fix the problems.

6 Engine Clicking And Tapping Noises problem of the 2005 Nissan Maxima

Failure Date: 06/06/2012

I bought a used Nissan Maxima for 8,000 since the day I bought it, the car has a hard time shifting from 1st gear to 2nd gear and so on it makes a loud clunk noise and is staring to damage the mounts. I have read similar complaints to mine online and need to learn how to get it recalled or fixed.

7 Engine Clicking And Tapping Noises problem of the 2005 Nissan Maxima

Failure Date: 01/07/2012

I own a 2005 Nissan Maxima which I absolutely love! but about two months ago I started to experience problems with the transmission. After the car was warmed up and I have been driving it for about 20 min. S or so the transmission would act up when I was between 2 and 3 rpms and would either rev the engine or take about 5 to 10 seconds before shifting gears with a rough clunk noise and a hard jerk. The same thing happens when I go from drive to reverse it would take a while and then make a rough jerk before changing gears. I feel this is a safety hazard because you never know when the car will accelerate on its own or thrust into another car when changing gears abruptly.

8 Engine Clicking And Tapping Noises problem of the 2005 Nissan Maxima

Failure Date: 12/01/2011

A couple of months ago, my 2005 Nissan Maxima began having transmission problems. When beginning to drive, the vehicle will jerk when it reaches 2 and 3 rpms and rev the engine. Before it resumes "normal" drive, it will jerk again and make a loud clunking noise. This also happens when attempting to put the car into reverse. I was told today by the local Nissan dealership that the transmission must be replaced costing approximately $3300. 00! the dealership never informed me of these issues, even after a transmission flush and a courtesy check when I first brought the car to them several weeks ago. I am shocked and disturbed after reading how many other Nissan Maxima owners are having the exact same problem I am having. How many complaints must there be for a resolution if each person is having the same problem?!.

9 Engine Clicking And Tapping Noises problem of the 2004 Nissan Maxima

Failure Date: 10/19/2011

I own a 2004 Nissan Maxima and when I bought it I thought I was buying a great car that was less than 6 months ago although I still like the car it is starting to make this ticking noise the ticking noise is coming from the timing chain and is doing that because of a piece of plastic has gotten loose on the timing chain guides so now that this piece of plastic is loose my timing chain could possibly snap and damage my entire motor so I decide ok ill just fix it but OH no its 1500 dollars to fix because of all the labor that is needed to get my car repaired because of the labor involved in getting to the timing chain so my complaint is that why do you have a stupid piece of plastic that is now failing for almost all vq 35 engines it just doesn't make any sense why as a company you are so cheap that you cant design something more durable than a piece of plastic to hold together the engine of my car that when it first came out in 2004 was going for like 26000 dollars how cheap can you get unbelievable you would think I would not have to worry about my car dying because of this one stupid piece of plastic that is basically defective and was not meant to hold together a timing chain what a crap company now im on the hook for 3 years and I have to pray that my chain doesn't snap because I cant afford to pay 1500 dollars to fix my car because of a stupid piece of plastic.
