Accelerating from a stop, or increasing speed from a turn, the car sputters, power fluctuates, and sometimes it vibrates and feels like I am driving over a grid. Shifting is rough while driving, and the car sometimes feels like it's going to stall, or like I'm driving a standard transmission and I've left off the clutch too soon. The problem has been ongoing and started inconsistently.

I just purchased this SUV used with 84000 mile within 24 hr the car starts to drive like I am running over speed bump like it's not pulling or something kind of hard to explain the gauges bounce back and forth when it happens it's trying to pick up speed but stalling it's clearly the cvt issue it happened on the highway and just riding through town it felt like it was losing power not wanting to the same speed I was at.

There is a problem with the cvt automatic transmission. I reported the problem when I first bought the car from carmax and was sent to Nissan for a reset. No issue was found at that time. The car is shuttering and stalling out while I am driving full speed. This has happened on the interstate/freeway as well as other busy roads leaving myself and my child stranded and in near accidents. Nissan refuses to help with this part. It should 100% be a recall. Instead, Nissan issued an extended warranty that I was not notified about and expired two weeks, July 31, 2020 before I contacted Nissan with the worsening issue. They would not honor the extended warranty because my car had 98,000 miles instead of 80,000/ I have only had the car four years, I am financially struggling because of the pandemic, and making payments on a car that I cannot drive. There are hundreds of complaints about Nissan's faulty cvt transmissions. Please help!!!!! this started again two weeks into August when I initially contacted Nissan. There has always been an undiagnosed transmission issue. These should be replaced as recalls or deemed lemons. I bought the vehicle November of 2016.
This truck is very well cared for,,all of a sudden its stalling at any time,,some hard starts,,runs perfect ,than stalls, while driving,no steering, very scarry,I thought it was bad gas I filled 2 more time from good gas station 89 and 91 octan,.
2014 Nissan Pathfinder hybrid. My vehicle failed to accelerate after stopped at a light; car shakes like it's going to stall out; car shakes when going at low speeds and lightly pressing the gas pedal, it seems as if the transmissions tries to shift but the gear doesn't go in. My vehicle shifts into od on its own. This happen while driving in both highways and city street and while turning. Car is 50000 miles I have taken it to the dealer and they say they dont see a problem but this is happening more often now.

The vehicle was taken to an independent mechanic who initially stated that the fuel pump malfunctioned. The mechanic replaced the fuel pump, but the failure persisted and the vehicle would not crank. The independent mechanic stated that the engine control module failed. Headquarter Nissan (1725 whittlesey rd, columbus, GA 31904, (706) 225-8100) informed the contact that there was no recall on the vehicle. The manufacturer agreed with the dealer and provided a case number. The manufacturer stated that the vehicle was repaired per an unknown recall in 2011 and could not assist. When accelerating from a stop, at low speeds, the vehicle stutters/judders for a few seconds. It has been progressively getting worse, even starting to show up at medium speeds, to the point where we think the vehicle is going to stall. If you push on the gas it eventually goes throught the stuttering. Since no codes are indicating they will not look at the issue.
We purchased the vehicle in 2017. We received a clean bill of health if you will. Within 2 months of the purchase we noticed a transmission issue--jerking jarring hard to shift etc. We purchased an extended warranty which covered everything bumper to bumper for what we thought was 100k miles. Turns out it was some ridiculous number 88k. Anyway--we continued to complain tot he service center about the transmission and every time we were told there were no issues. Well we took the car in for oil change as we have done since day one and told them again about the transmissio. This time (we were out of warranty) they coded it for guess what? the transmission with a whopping price tag of $8k. I have been all over trying to get resolve. This car is dangerous--I cant merge into traffic bc it is too sluggish it stalls out and will not shift at a low speed---and to complicate matters worse-- there was a class action lawsuit that Nissan just settled in the fall for over $277mm for the transmission issues---we were never notified of the suit. I really need some help as no one is taking this seriously.
Tl the contact owns a 2015 Nissan Pathfinder. While driving 25 mph, the accelerator pedal was applied, but failed to respond. The vehicle stalled without warning. The vehicle was taken three times to a local dealer (sandy sansing Nissan, 5705 pensacola blvd, pensacola, FL 32505), but they were unable to duplicate the failure. The vehicle was not diagnosed or repaired. The manufacturer was not notified. The failure mileage was 57,353.
When driving the vehicle it stalls when pressing the gas to accelerate. When at a stop or turning when switching from braking to accelerating you have to press the gas several times to get the car to accelerate. Nissan consumer affairs will not assist and the dealership cannot replicate. I dont know what to do.
My car was towed to the dealer for the 3rd transmission. The last transmission was put in 2 months ago. Car stalls, sputters, fails to accelerate.
The contact owns a 2013 Nissan Pathfinder. While driving 60 mph, the vehicle lost power and stalled. The check engine indicator illuminated and the vehicle was coasted to the side of the road. The gear shifter failed to move out of park and the steering wheel seized. The contact waited five minutes and was able to resume driving. The failure recurred numerous times. The vehicle was taken to the dealer where it was diagnosed that the brakes and battery failed and needed to be replaced. The vehicle was not repaired and the failure recurred. The dealer stated that the transmission failed and needed to be replaced. In addition, the rear door failed to open. The manufacturer was not notified of the failures. The approximate failure mileage was 43,000.
The contact owns a 2006 Nissan Pathfinder. While driving approximately 30 mph, the vehicle vibrated abnormally and stalled without warning. The vehicle was towed to the dealer where it was diagnosed that the crank sensor needed to be replaced. The vehicle was repaired; however, the failure recurred several times. The manufacturer was made aware of the failure. The failure mileage was unknown.
Vehicle stalls at various times while driving, will not accelerate while pressing on gas pedal. Has now happened 6 times in 3 months. Stalled also, while on cruise control going downhill and would not engage until on level surface for 15 seconds, lost 35 mph during this incident. Passenger side front airbag light is illuminated indicating that no one is in seat while seat is occupied. I have several photos and dates of this particular problem.
At first, the car wouldn't start occasionally. I replaced the battery and fuses. This helped temporarily. Now, the car won't start unless I place a new ecu fuse each time I attempt to start it. Changing the fuse will start the car, but it lacks power and is quick to stall out. When I took it to the mechanic, he discovered coolant in my transmission. After reading information from several websites, I realized this is an ongoing issue with this make/model of car.

While driving on the highway in the fast lane at 85 mph the car lost power completely. Luckily there were no other cars in my vicinity. Coasted over 2 lanes to breakdown lane just barely over the line. Gas gage read 1/4 tank so figured I still had gas. Tried to restart several times but car acted like it was out of gas. Called aaa for a tow truck and asked to bring gas just in case. Car started right up after mechanic put gas in tank. Although this issue is a recall1 Nissan will not repair for free. Say my VIN is not included in the recall and it will cost me $450. Recall summary:Nissan is recalling certain model year 2006 and model year 2008 frontier, xterra and Pathfinder vehicles. The molded fuel tank shells can deform, causing the fuel sender float arm to contact an embossment molded into the tank shell causing the instrument panel fuel gauge to show that the vehicle has approximately one quarter tank when the fuel tank is empty. Hazard:this could cause the vehicle to run out of gas and stall in traffic, increasing the risk of a crash.

My 2013 Pathfinder studders like it's not getting gas. It has completely stalled while driving in busy traffic. I took it to the dealership which stated they could not get it to duplicate the problem. This can happen on inclines and when I got to stop or slow down then go to accelerate against it studders really bad. It sometimes will not start due to not recognizing the key fob.
My Pathfinder has already had the transmission replaced once and is still having issues. Since this past Thursday, it has been hesitating or feeling like it is in neutral when it is in drive. I took note of the latest one today. I was stopped (on a major street) waiting for oncoming traffic to pass. It did, and I accelerated to turn left and the car felt like I had put it in neutral. It was slowly rolling but not accelerating as I crossed over the on-coming lane and continued with my left turn. I check to see if it was in drive (it was) and checked the speed (20mph) because I had brought it in last week when it did it the first three times, and they asked me what speed I was going when it happened. The time prior to that I was changing lanes on the highway (infront of a large truck) at about 50 mph and when I went to accelerate, I got the same feeling. I could have been killed! the time prior to that, I had been at a red light. When the light changed, I crossed over the first section of the red light then turned left and attempted to accelerate but it (again) felt like I had thrown it into neutral. I pulled to the side of the road for a second to let other cars pass in case it stalled on me. The first time was just when driving down the road. This has me extremely scared as in two of the situations, I could have been killed if I couldn't accelerate to move and a car plowed into me.
I was driving on CA highway 80 west bound in the fast lane ,the vehicle stalled and I was unable to restart the vehicle it left me in immediate danger I couldnt even put it in gear the highway patrol was able to unlock the transmission and safley push me to the shoulder asfter sitting in the fast lane for over 20 minutes. The dealor after paying for diagnostic was informed that both crank cam sensors had failed and wanted to charge me 1100. 00.
This is a engine control module (ecm) issue. My 2005 Nissan Pathfinder is stalling at low engine speeds, red lights, during rush hour traffic. My vehicle only has 65k miles and has had four (4) ecm replaced. My last one went bad three hours after driving out of a Nissan dealership where I spent $1300 to replace it. Nissan refuses to pay for it stating they already replaced one via recall and "things fail".

Coolant and transmission fluid mixed and caused the car to shake and not accelerate. This was a recall item and by the time it happened at 79k miles the dealer would only cover half. I had to pay $2500 for a repair that they new was defected. I was driving on a major highway and the car stalled and I had to put flashers on to keep cars from hitting me. This is a safety issue for anyone who still owns this truck. I now have another $750 bill to repair the fuel sending unit that went out after recall mileage expired. They know it's a problem and should fix it when it happens.

Bought my Pathfinder in August 2013 I love it!!! but noticed that the passenger airbag light illuminated when my son (119 pounds) sit's in the seat. This happen often. I pull over all the time turn off the SUV and restart several times until it goes off. Nissan finally did a recall on it but it has not gone away. Also it used to illuminate when I set my diaper bag on it which is supposed to but now after the recall "fix" it does not illuminate when something light weight is set on it. It has a mind of it's own and I am worried that it could possibly fail if we were to get into a collision. I have taken it in several times to check it but it always comes up as working properly. Please find a fix for this issue. The other issue I have found is when accelerating there is some kind of tugging/pulling/lagging feeling as if it does not want to pick up speed. It does however pick up speed but the "tugging" feels as if the SUV is going to stall out. What it this???.
Upon acceleration, the transmission seems to stall for a brief moment. This is happening more frequently now and stalls a little longer each time upon acceleration.
