1 Engine Belts And Pulleys problem of the 2004 Nissan Pathfinder

Failure Date: 01/26/2018

My vehicle was mostly in the state of NY (salt belt state) from 2004 until 2015. (11 years) it's now in va. The undercarriage is rusted beyond a normal amount. The exhaust especially holes are in piping from the catalytic converter to the tailpipe. The care is leaking fuel from the metal filler tube to the gas tank! my local Nissan dealership refused to address these serious issues and inferior metal piping problems. I'm scared the vehicle will blow up. It's dangerous.

2 Engine Belts And Pulleys problem of the 2005 Nissan Pathfinder

Failure Date: 06/07/2016

At 96635 miles my oil light was coming on when the car was not in motion. Nissan told me my car needs to have its timing chain replaced which btw supposed to last life of engine. I've read Nissan knew about defective parts and was not honorable in doing a recall. Whats the point of switching from timing belt to timing chain if I need to change it at the same approximate mileage. Its costing me $3000. 00 to get it fixed.

3 Engine Belts And Pulleys problem of the 2005 Nissan Pathfinder

Failure Date: 05/06/2015

A car runner into our lane made made a sudden stop in front of me, to avoid hitting the car I turned to the right and hit a brick building. My air bag deploy on the driver side but not the passenger side. My wife was in the passenger side and she suffered a concussion she had her seatbelt on. Her face was badly bruised and is still receiving care.

4 Engine Belts And Pulleys problem of the 2005 Nissan Pathfinder

Failure Date: 10/18/2007

Timing belt tensioner guides worn out - must be replaced. Cost of 1700. 00 dollars from Nissan. Perhaps Nissan can do it for free since this seems to be a common problem with many 2005 Pathfinder (4 liter engine).

5 Engine Belts And Pulleys problem of the 2006 Nissan Pathfinder

Failure Date: 05/21/2007

The contact owns a 2006 Nissan Pathfinder. Upon purchasing the vehicle, the contact noticed that the check engine light was illuminated. She was informed that the fuel gauge sensor needed to be replaced. She stated that the fuel gauge indicator needle remains on the empty symbol, even when fuel is in the vehicle. The contact took the vehicle back to the dealer two weeks later to have it repaired. The dealer informed her that the cause of failure was a short in the cluster and the part had to be ordered from puerto rico. The part arrived a week and a half later and the dealer replaced the cluster. One week later, the odometer began to display the incorrect mileage. The odometer was later repaired. Two weeks later, the vehicle began making a loud squeaking noise as soon as it was started. The contact took the vehicle back to the dealer and was informed that the cause of failure was the tension belt. The dealer replaced the belt, but later discovered that the part was defective. The belt was replaced again, but the dealer was unsure if the replacement part would be defective as well. The VIN, engine size, number of cylinders, speed, and powertrain were unknown. The current mileage was 12,566 and failure mileage was 693.

6 Engine Belts And Pulleys problem of the 2005 Nissan Pathfinder

Failure Date: 04/07/2007

I have had a constant problem with my 2005 Pathfinder. There is an annoying loud squealing noise coming from the engine compartment. I have taken it to the dealer twice. The first time it was diagnosed as a bad belt tensioner and was replaced at about 1500 miles. The second time was a bad belt at about 4500 miles. I just had my 30,000 mile service and the vehicle checked out fine now the noise is back louder then ever.

I have had the pulley repaired on my 2002 Pathfinder repair twice, in 2006 and again in 2008 I believe. And it is still giving me a problem. The driver seat motor will not move forward or backward, and in extreme hot weather, my motor drags, and it is hard to start the engine. The cd player never work right.
