On may 31st 2025 car hesitated to start about 5min before starting but no warning signals. Car has been struggling to start multiple times since then and on Tuesday 06/27/2025 car did not want to start again and had a warning of engine malfunction power reduced service now with a lot of beeping. I took it by autozone and was told they were unable to reach it to check it ( not sure what that meant) so he recommended switching out the keyfob battery to see if that would help but the vehicle is still hesitant to start and then sometimes the vehicle does not drive correctly. Photo listed is from 06/27/2025 when the vehicle finally showed a warning sign.

Last night hot air was coming out of my a/c and I shut off the car and it would turn back on again. It happened 3 times until the 4th time it shut off. When I went to start the car, it would not start. I waited one hour until the mechanic showed up. He revised the car and could not see anything except that the car would not start. We tried to start the car and at the 4th attemp it started and I went home with the engine light on. I went to have it check with a computer and I have a diagnosis code-p1217 engine over-temperature condition, code-p0090 fuel pressure regualtor control circuit, code-p0507 idle air control system rpm higher thatn expected, code-p0087 fuel rail/system pressure - too low.

Tl the contact owns a 2017 Nissan Rogue. While the vehicle was merging onto the highway, it suddenly stalled and did not immediatly restart. The vehicle was later taken to hill Nissan(6401 cypress gardens blvd, winter haven, FL 33884) where it was diagnosed that the front sensor was faulty and needed to be replaced. The sensor was replaced. Later, while driving onto a freeway, the failure recurred and the vehicle stalled. The vehicle could not be restarted and was towed back to the dealer. While at the dealer, the failure could not be duplicated and the cause of the failure was not determined. The manufacturer was notified of the failures. The failure mileage was 25,000. The VIN was unknown.

My car would not start up. All gauges were fluttering and flickering, door locks were locking and unlocking rapidly, then the car went dead. Gave it jump and it started. Next day it died again, gave it a jump and it started. While I was driving it shut off suddenly and completely, giving me no time to steer. The car was dead again. Replaced the battery and problem still exists. Very dangerous to be driving and have the car just stop completely. I'm lucky I wasn't hit.

Car won't turn on randomly. We have replaced the battery five times. Each time the car randomly stops working every few thousand miles. The car will take ten or eleven tries to start. This is extremely dangerous. If for any reason we ever needed to leave the car cannot start quickly. It happens randomly, not all the time (sometimes it starts fine after one turn, the next time it could take five minutes to finally start, then go back to fine). No one has been able to tell us what is the cause of this defect.

1st electrical problem started while driving on highway when on vacation August 2014. Navigational system and radio would not work. Steering wheel if sharp turn made a loud noise. Happened for 1 day and then everthing worked again. 9/24/14 my Nissan Rogue 2013 was now completely dead and had to manually unlock door. Called aaa who jump started vehicle and stated replacing battery would not solve problem. The aaa mechanic stated there was an electrical problem. . . . Something continued to drain the battery even after the jump start. Brought to coastal Nissan where I was told the vehicle tested fine and did not have an electrical problem. Never was I informed there are complaints from other owners of intermittent electrical problems and the Rogue not starting. My vehicle is almost at the end of its warranty. 10/21/14 coming out of the garage late last night when making sharp turns the steering wheel make loud noises. When I arrived home the driver's side window would not go up. This morning the vehicle made a clicking noise but the engine would not start. The drivers' side window will not go up or down although the lights and other windows work. Declined aaa jumpstart since this has been intermittent and I needed coastal Nissan to not be able to deny any problem. After checking on line it appears many other Nissan owners are having similar problems. It is very important to have an agency like your's to ensure others are aware of safety issues and defects in vehicles. I also contacted the consumer affairs at Nissan per the emails I saw from other owners. If anyone else has this intermittent electrical problem just have vehicle towed so Nissan cannot deny a problem or fail to address and fix it.
Last year, car wouldn't start so battery was replaced. Recently, event occurred again and brought it in to the shop. They stated that there is a computer glitch that is keeping " something on" when the car is off.
