1 Navigational (global Positioning System) Gps problem of the 2024 Nissan Rogue

Failure Date: 10/06/2025

I rented a 2024 Nissan rouge from enterprise. When it was picked up the only noticeable damage was on the driver side back wheel well where the trim piece appeared to be loose and there was a scuff on the finish. On [xxx] around [xxx] a business peer and I were just leaving rosen supply in woodinville, wa. We were in the 2 front seats; car had not yet been turned on, and we were discussing our next business stop. While adding in the address to our phone gps the back window imploded with no warnings, leaving 2 holes on the side of the window (have photos). In the moment we thought we had been shot at or someone had thrown a rock at the car. No one was around. Then a second implosion happened, and it shot glass out about 3 feet from the car into the parking lot and into the back of the car. This is when all of the glass fell out. Two people from inside of the building heard the explosions and came out to help us. They provided tools to clean up the glass in the parking lot. This was a very traumatic event and caused my peer to have heart palpitations and other concerns. Had I known this was something that could happen I would have chosen a different vehicle to rent. 2 Navigational (global Positioning System) Gps problem of the 2024 Nissan Rogue

Failure Date: 06/15/2025

Dash screens have gone totally black with no info being displayed while driving at interstate highway speeds. Displays stayed totally black for about 10 minutes and the came back on. *steering assist activated without any warning without cruise being turned on causing me problems when trying to change lanes. *with the cruise control not being selected, the vehicle suddenly started to accelerate until I applied the brakes and slowed the vehicle. Not reliable. On a recent return trip, the system had us locked on a location we were at possibly 8 hours earlier. The gps never updated as we came home driving thru west virginia, delaware, maryland, pennsylvania, & finally new jersey. *radio constantly displays a message that no receivable stations are available when we select the am or fm bands, but satelite radion is available. Although the radio problems are not a safety issue, they are a nuisance when traveling and trying to listen to local stations for road and weather reports. *recently occurring problem with the cargo door suddenly closing while we are loading/unloading the cargo area. Have had the vehicle back to the dealership many times for these problems with no resolutions to these recurring problems. We had opened a case#[xxx] with Nissan north America, but it was closed back in mid march2025 when we thought the problems were resolved. The re-occurring problems caused us to open a new case#[xxx] with Nissan north America. We want Nissan to buy back or replace this vehicle since they cannot resolve the stated problems. Information redacted pursuant to the freedom of information act (foia), 5 u. S. C. 552(b)(6).

3 Navigational (global Positioning System) Gps problem of the 2024 Nissan Rogue

Failure Date: 02/22/2024

Since I drove it off the lot, the display screen intermittently and frequently blacks out leaving me with no music, no gps, no cameras, no hands free phone. Dealership says they can’t fix it, Nissan north America says they can”t fix it. So I just spent over $49,000 for a brand new vehicle under warranty that no one can fix and I can’t rely on. Without cameras, I am not comfortable driving this defective vehicle. The other display doesn’t work accurately either. Outside temperature shows 75 degrees when in reality it’s 91 degrees and it also shows I got 68. 6 miles per gallon (ha, ha). So I keep wondering what’s next?.

4 Navigational (global Positioning System) Gps problem of the 2023 Nissan Rogue

Failure Date: 10/16/2023

Component/system: engine — main bearing (kr15 vc-turbo engine recall 25v-197) I own a 2023 Nissan Rogue manufactured in smyrna, tennessee, equipped with the 1. 5 l vc-turbo (kr15) engine. Nissan issued a safety recall stating that the engine bearings could fail and cause sudden loss of power while driving, but the company still has no remedy or repair available. I have been told by the dealership and Nissan consumer affairs to “drive the vehicle as minimally as possible” due to the risk of stalling or crashing. This situation puts my safety and the safety of others at risk because the vehicle could lose power at highway speed without warning. I must continue to make car payments for a vehicle I am afraid to drive, and Nissan has not provided a loaner or alternate transportation despite repeated requests. The issue was confirmed by both a Nissan dealer and independent mechanics, who verified that the vehicle has the kr15 engine affected by the recall and noted that it drives roughly and feels shaky. A diagnostic scan showed a code stored in the telematics/gps system, though no warning lights are illuminated. I have contacted Nissan consumer affairs multiple times, and they have documented my case but have not provided any solution or inspection. As of October 2025, the promised repair “available in October” has not been released. The vehicle remains in use only when absolutely necessary and is available for inspection upon request. Warning indicators: no check-engine or dashboard warning lights; symptoms include rough driving and engine vibration beginning earlier this year (2025).

5 Navigational (global Positioning System) Gps problem of the 2021 Nissan Rogue

Failure Date: 06/25/2023

I went through a recent ddos attack by a neighbor where they used signal boosting to spoof my key fob. From there, they were able to access the intelligent drive system, gps and audio. On June 25th, the same criminals tracked me down through the gps outside of marshall TX and attmpted to hijack the vehicle. I had to call 911 and run for safety, it was terrifying. The entire day I could hear interference over the radio, this remained an issue for weeks. I took it to a Nissan dealer to show them the mass amount of malware that was installed, but was told I could just buy another car instead. To make matters worse, at one point in time, this group that hacked the vehicle, was able to alter my speed remotely. It is impossible to have anyone at Nissan take me seriously on this matter, yet you can see online that this is a known concern for this model specifically. I believe it is pertinent that Nissan review boot loader settings on these vehicles for a known fatal flaw that leaves the user vulnerable to these types of attacks, this could have caused me to crash several times and is downright scary that anyone with a little background could penetrate these systems so easily.
