1 Recreational Vehicle Lpg Tank Valve/gauge problem of the 2019 Nissan Rogue

Failure Date: 09/20/2019

I purchased a Nissan Rogue sv awd on July 17,2019. While driving between 10-20 mph I noticed the car would sporadically decide not to accelerate at all . I would floor the gas and the rpm gauge would not register nor would the car accelerate . This also occurred while coasting through ez pass tolls on the garden state parkway! imagine being in the left or middle lane and unable to accelerate on highways from 20 mph ! it also occurred while pulling onto highways and driving roundabouts . No lights on dashboard indicate what was going on . I called Nissan on September 20,2019 and took the earliest appt September 23,2019. I was first told that after they drive my car ten miles they couldn't replicate what occurred so I could take it home . I refused and said that was unacceptable as the car was dangerous. I told them to keep it and find out what was wrong. They called late that afternoon and said they found I needed a stop lamp switch . I was told that the car thought I was braking and would not let me accelerate. I said that's dangerous and outrageous! they said the lame switch had intermittent internal failure . When I asked ( after researching it) that thecar might need to be reprogrammed? they said no . My car is brand new and under warranty. This situation should never occur it can cause serious injuries to all . Please issue a recall regarding this ! the car was givenback to me on September 25. 2019. I'm worried about my safety while driving it .

2 Recreational Vehicle Lpg Tank Valve/gauge problem of the 2018 Nissan Rogue

Failure Date: 01/24/2019

Takata recall. I brought a brand new 2018 Nissan Rogue in April of 2018. My engine light came on and the car only has 9000 miles on it. I took in to the dealer and they claim the light is on because a rodent chewed the wires belonging to the harness. At 1st I was given a loner vehicle and told my transmission was having problems. On Friday I took the car to the dealership. They were very unprofessional from the beginning. Now 4 days later they tell me a mouse ate my wires and that's not something they cover for a harness and now they want to reverse the charges for the loaner car making it a rental. Also my gas gauge off and on displays empty and the car is full of gas. My car is driven everyday there is no way a rodent if any type would even ever survive I'm my car. This is utterly ridiculous. Nissan just does not want to repair the vehicle. They told me it's not there problem it's a machine and they break down.

3 Recreational Vehicle Lpg Tank Valve/gauge problem of the 2019 Nissan Rogue

Failure Date: 01/02/2019

Brand new 2019 Nissan Rogue sv awd: climate control is not working properly especially during cold weather. When temperature control gauge is set to 61f, it blows cold air and when the gauge is set to 62f, it immediately blows hot air (80-90f). This impairs my driving and poses a risk of an accident because I constantly have to take my right hand off the steering wheel and my sight off the road for a second or two to manual switch between 61f and 62f. This is the only way to regulate the interior temperature. I constantly hear from my two little kids and wife "it's too hot, it's to cold. . . . It's too hot, it's to cold". This is very frustrating especially when after three trips to the dealer's service department, I was told that this is normal as that's how Nissan designed the climate control during cold outside temperatures. This is definitely not normal to me and my family. Customer affair even scheduled a biased subject matter inspector to meet with me to only tell me that it's normal and working as designed. He told me that it will continue blowing hot air (80-90f) when the gauge is set to 62f even if the interior temperature has already reached 80f+ for a prolonged period of time (an hour or so) - this makes no sense! the inspector told me that every Rogue is designed that way. If I knew this before buying the car, I would never buy it. The climate control design is definitely flawed but Nissan is not willing to admit it. It needs to be recalled and fixed for all Rogues! other issue I've been facing is vibrations on the steering wheel and on gas & break pedals while the car is stationary or driving on any road. Vibrations are coming from the engine compartment. Nissan service again told me it's normal. It is not! Nissan failed to resolve both issues. I have filed a bbb complaint. Nhtsa - please recall both chronic issues! thank you!.

5 Recreational Vehicle Lpg Tank Valve/gauge problem of the 2008 Nissan Rogue

Failure Date: 08/07/2017

The gas gauge is not working properly. I have researched the issue and found multiple complaints of Nissan owners with the same problem. Below are some of the issues we recently purchased a 2008 Nissan Rogue and noticed that the gas gauge is off. Even with a full tank of gas, the gauge will read the tank as below the full level. At times it will show the tank as 3/4 or 1/2. Other times it will show the tank at a full level when it shouldn't be, for example, 85 miles driven on a full tank of gas. I would think that should register at least one notch below the full level. It will constantly go up and down on the same tank of gas. Has anyone else had these issues? I am having the same problem. I fill up the gas tank and it only reads 3/4 tank. I have taken it to the dealer 3 times. The last time they admitted there is an issue with the sensor. They replaced it, now I fill it up and it only reads 1/2 a tank. And it never said when it was low on gas, my wife ran out of gas on the interstate and it still said she had 1/4 tank. They say they will replace it again. My awd Rogue was purchased new in 2008. Wife drives it exclusively. December 2011 mileage turned 16,000 and gas gauge level failed to register full on fill-up. Now at 16,500 miles and have to fill tank to over-flow level to assure it's full. Contacted dealer since there is a TSB on issue and quoted $888. For sender/sub-sender unit and labor. Filed a complaint with nthsa on 1/9/2012. Registered complaint with Nissan north America. Nissan states: there is no active campaign or recall for this problem. Will never buy another Nissan. This is a defect and warrants a recall.

6 Recreational Vehicle Lpg Tank Valve/gauge problem of the 2011 Nissan Rogue

Failure Date: 03/03/2014

While driving between 65 and 70 mph, the 2011 rouge without warning just shut down (lost power) pulled over and sat there for 10 minutes and it started and ran fine. Three weeks later, it happened while my daughter was driving it. It shut down (lost power), pulled over sat and then restarted the car. No warning lights, not warning of any kind, all gauges were normal. This could cause one to cause an accident or even death. I have seen where other Nissan cars have had the same problem. This needs to be looked at, recalled fixed, and soon before it causes injuries. 66,000 miles is when it started happening. I am scared to drive my car anywhere due to the risk of injury I am putting myself and others in. Please check this out and do something before it is to late for someone.

7 Recreational Vehicle Lpg Tank Valve/gauge problem of the 2008 Nissan Rogue

Failure Date: 05/09/2013

After driving 2. 5 - 3hrs of highway driving would not accelerate (increase in speed ). I have been in intersections and the car would not accelerate which is a very serious safety concern. I have to travel to alabama and florida several times each year from my home in south carolina and this has happened when trying to pass large16 wheeler trucks or just keep up with traffic flow. To do this when traveling at speeds of 65 - 70 miles per hr. Has concerned me, it is a serious safety matter. It could easily cause a serious crash and death. On a resent trip(July /2015) to alabama on I-65 traveling at speeds on 70+ my car started to decelerate to down it was near 50 miles per hour, I pulled off highway and turned my car off. I have checked to make sure it is not over heating, which it is not. The temp. Gauge is below the half mark and the rpm gauge will not move past 2. 5. Also, on this trip I noticed that any slight hill going up it would have trouble pulling and start to decelerate then once I got up this hill it would accelerate to 80+ miles per hr. I have read quite a few complaints on this site concerning the same things are happening when traveling long highway trips . This must be taken care of by Nissan before someone dies or seriously injured.
