1 Equipment problem of the 2021 Nissan Rogue

Failure Date: 08/17/2026

There is a piece missing on the back of one of my seatbelt buckle latches (back drivers side). It looks like the latch is splitting open. All of the sudden the back drivers side door is stuck closed/shut and often won’t open. I contacted victory Nissan on mechanicsville turnpike at [xxx] and called Nissan customer service at [xxx] and spoke with shavonke. They told me there was no recall on my VIN# and because of the 100778 mileage there was nothing they could do. I disputed that there was a recall on this very issue down to the same side (the drivers side) as well as class action lawsuits. Nissan still would not take ownership and expects me to pay them hundreds of dollars to repair a defect they have been advised of that they actually have a limited recall and class action lawsuits in regards to. Information redacted pursuant to the freedom of information act (foia), 5 u. S. C. 552(b)(6).

2 Equipment problem of the 2023 Nissan Rogue

Failure Date: 08/06/2026

The oil pan plug is attached to plastic, it straps everything out. Leaving the car not drivable. Yes oil tech has mentioned it occurs to vehicles with plastic oil pans. (Nissan Rogue 2020 and newer) just the oil techs. No prior warning. Just a standard oil change.

5 Equipment problem of the 2023 Nissan Rogue

Failure Date: 07/29/2026

I am submitting a complaint regarding a serious water intrusion issue with my 2023 Nissan Rogue. My vehicle developed a severe water leak that allowed water to enter both sides of the vehicle. The amount of water intrusion is significant and has caused concern about possible hidden damage, including mold growth, mildew, and damage to electrical components. I brought my vehicle to hallmark Nissan in birmingham, alabama for evaluation. The dealership informed me that this is a known issue and that Nissan has a technical service bulletin, ntb21-097b, addressing water leaks at the top front corners of the windshield on certain 2021–2023 Nissan Rogue vehicles. My vehicle was only two days outside of the warranty period when I brought it in for this problem. Even though Nissan has identified this issue through a technical service bulletin, I was advised that I would be responsible for approximately $684 in repair costs. I believe this is unacceptable for a relatively new vehicle with a known defect. A vehicle should not allow water to leak into the passenger compartment due to a known issue shortly after the warranty expires. This water intrusion creates potential safety concerns, including: mold and mildew growth that could affect occupants’ health. Corrosion or failure of electrical wiring, connectors, sensors, and other vehicle systems. Potential malfunction of safety-related components due to water damage. Additional costly damage that may not become apparent until later. The existence of technical service bulletin ntb21-097b demonstrates that Nissan is aware of this condition, yet customers are still being required to pay for repairs. I believe this issue should be investigated as a potential safety defect rather than treated as a normal repair expense. I am requesting that NHTSA investigate this water intrusion issue affecting Nissan Rogue vehicles and determine whether Nissan should provide a safety remedy or recall for affected owners.

6 Equipment problem of the 2021 Nissan Rogue

Failure Date: 07/28/2026

The left headliner above the small rear window is wet/stained after heavy rain or a car wash. I have had this issue previously with the front left headliner and the clips were replaced. The same issue is occurring with the rear left headliner now. The risk of mold exposure, water damage, etc. Is high.

7 Equipment problem of the 2023 Nissan Rogue

Failure Date: 07/27/2026

My 2023 Nissan Rogue was sitting in the hot sun and the rear window shattered. There was no accident or apparent defect in the window. It was simply the hottest day of the year (July 27, 2026) followed by a night time rainstorm. I had not even driven the car that day.

8 Equipment problem of the 2024 Nissan Rogue

Failure Date: 07/27/2026

So by just looking up current Nissan recalls I was quite confused on how there is 2 open recalls on my particular model, but my car is supposedly not impacted even though I'm having issue and it appears to me that its issues are in fact related to the open recalls. The awd malfunction light comes on and the car doesn't want to accelerate.

9 Equipment problem of the 2018 Nissan Rogue

Failure Date: 07/22/2026

A/c started blowing warm air when car was idling, then car randomly overheated while sitting in traffic. Once car cooled down, check to coolant levels and they were fine. After the car sat overnight a/c worked fine and temperature gauge was at normal. Started the car with a/c on and popped the hood, the radiator fan was not on nor did it come on. Now anytime the car idles for more than 1 or 2 minutes it overheats.

10 Equipment problem of the 2022 Nissan Rogue

Failure Date: 07/20/2026

I was driving on the interstate going 70-80 mph and my car would not accelerate and I got a bunch of yellow error codes. I pulled over and shut it off and restarted. I drove it straight to the nearest Nissan dealership. In that time driving to the dealership my car barely would go over 60 mph and the rpm's would go high then low. The dealership looked it over later in the day and called me and said that 'nothing is wrong with it. ' no error codes. No problems. They drove it 30 miles. I am not satisfied with this. This is a major safety issue and I am scared to drive again knowing I may not be able to accelerate on the interstate. I took a picture of my dashboard and errors that showed when I was pulled over and I gave this to the dealership. They still said nothing was wrong. I got a second cvt error that I do not have a picture of that one. I opened a case with Nissan directly. I am waiting to hear back from them. (filed case on xxx case # xxx- [xxx], cs representative). I will have additional files to share once I pick up my car but right now I am scared to drive it. Information redacted pursuant to the freedom of information act (foia), 5 u. S. C. 552(b)(6).

11 Equipment problem of the 2025 Nissan Rogue

Failure Date: 07/16/2026

In July 16, 2026, at 4:34 pm I was driving my Nissan Rogue at 45 mph with my elderly mother in law sitting next to the window it exploded for no apparent reason. There was no other traffic next to us and in looking at the shattered glass that rained into the car there was no rock, bullet, or any foreign matter that would have caused the glass to explode. The weather outside was partly cloudy and the temperature was in the mid-90s. It is a new car but this was a very dangerous thing to happen and showered my passenger with glass.

12 Equipment problem of the 2023 Nissan Rogue

Failure Date: 07/11/2026

My vehicle experienced severe stalling, rough idling, and a strong burning smell, which match the exact defect characteristics outlined in NHTSA campaign 26v080 for Nissan main bearing failure (the year 2026 campaign is active). The vehicle was towed to a Nissan dealership, where technicians confirmed the engine requires complete replacement. However, the dealership is currently attempting to attribute the engine failure to 'coil intrusion' rather than the active bearing recall. The vehicle was purchased used in February 2026, just days after the official recall notification was sent to dealers. I am filing this complaint because the manufacturer is actively reviewing the claim and potentially bypassing a federally mandated safety remedy by blaming a consequential symptom of the engine failure. To specifically answer the above questions: the engine's main bearings failed/malfunctioned internally, causing catastrophic damage requiring a total engine replacement. The vehicle and its components are currently intact and available for inspection at the Nissan dealership service center. The vehicle suffered sudden, unexpected engine stalling while actively driving. This caused an immediate loss of motive power on a public roadway, creating a severe crash hazard and putting myself and surrounding drivers at risk of a rear-end collision. Yes. An authorized Nissan dealership service department has inspected the vehicle and confirmed that the engine has suffered a total mechanical failure and needs to be completely replaced. The vehicle is currently being inspected by an authorized Nissan dealership service center, and the case has been officially escalated to Nissan corporate for a technical and warranty review. A strong burning smell and severe rough idling appeared a couple days prior to the incident. However, the check engine light did not illuminate or provide any warning until the moment the engine completely stalled on the highway.

13 Equipment problem of the 2026 Nissan Rogue

Failure Date: 07/10/2026

My car was sitting in a parking lot facing the south. It was over 100 degrees that day. I had a front window shade in the front window, and both front windows were down about 2 inches. I went to my car to grab something around 1:30pm and all was fine. When I cam back around 2:45 pm, the back window was shattered, with small pieces of glass laying on the ground. I called the local Nissan dealer, and they told me to bring it in so they could look at it. I taped it up and drove it to the dealer. They looked it over and could see that the glass had blown out. The mechanic that looked it over, said that based on the glass pressing out and not inward (rock or something hitting it, makes the glass press inward). The dealership put in a warranty claim on Friday and finally found out it was approved on Tuesday. The mechanic ordered the glass to be shipped overnight on Friday. 10 days later I hadn't heard anything from them, so I called them, and they didnt have the glass yet, and didnt know why. So they called Nissan to figure why, and were told, they have the glass on hand, but not enough to ship any out yet. So its been 12 days and I still cant drive my car.

14 Equipment problem of the 2020 Nissan Rogue

Failure Date: 07/02/2026

I have a 2020 Nissan roque sport with under 70k miles. Started experiencing loud shaking and rattle when turning off car, seems to be the radiator cooling fan. There is a current class action lawsuit but no official recall. If I turn off a/c 2 minutes before getting to park and turn off car it does not rattle when I turn off I believe it does shake and rattle but with engine running do not feel it. No warnings or engine lights come on, the temparature of car does not rise past 1/2 point.

15 Equipment problem of the 2023 Nissan Rogue

Failure Date: 07/01/2026

"I am reporting federal safety recall non-compliance and fraudulent remedy execution by an authorized manufacturer franchise, bella Nissan of union city ([xxx]), regarding NHTSA campaign 26v-080 (Nissan recall code r25e2) on my 2023 Nissan Rogue sl fwd. I am the original owner of this vehicle, which has an exceptionally low odometer reading of 12,142 miles. The vehicle is used as primary medical transport for my [xxx] special needs son, who has a severe traumatic brain injury, cerebral palsy, and partial paralysis. On July 1st, 2026, I brought the vehicle to the dealership explicitly to resolve the critical engine bearing seizure and fire-risk recall. The dealership quoted a 3-hour repair window. Instead, the dealer rushed the vehicle through in 43 minutes total (start: 12:52, end: 13:35) and recorded an impossible 1-mile odometer difference (mileage 12,142, mileage out: 12,143). A single-mile drive is physically incapable of heating the engine oil to the high operating temperatures required by Nissan’s official engineering service bulletin to diagnose defective engine bearings. The dealership falsely certified to federal databases that this fire-risk vehicle was legally remedied, cleared the active safety flag on my consumer app, and billed the manufacturer's warranty department for work never performed. They also billed for a multi-point inspection and complimentary detail that were completely falsified, returning the car with an untouched, dirty windshield. The service advisor then actively withheld the paperwork I physically initialed at pickup, forcing me to take an internal 'pre-invoice audit copy' to conceal the non-compliant metrics. By rubber-stamping this safety recall on paper without executing the mandatory high-temperature diagnostic drive loop, this dealership has left an unverified fire-risk asset on the road, actively endangering a medically fragile family. I am refusing any future repair loops I want a buyback information redacted pursuant to the freedom of information act (foia), 5 u. S. C. 552(b).

20 Equipment problem of the 2017 Nissan Rogue

Failure Date: 06/22/2026

After getting a flat tire, I used the spare that comes stock with the vehicle. As soon as I started driving, it said the tire was the incorrect size. I kept driving just trying to get the car home. It then showed awd temp overheating stop vehicle and looking out my rear view mirror I saw smoke. I rolled down the window and started hearing clunking and grinding so I stopped immediately and had it towed the rest of the way. My rear differential is completely broken.

27 Equipment problem of the 2025 Nissan Rogue

Failure Date: 05/31/2026

I own a 2025 Nissan Rogue, and the rear windshield shattered suddenly without any impact, collision, or contact with an object. This was not caused by an accident or misuse on my part. My insurance company is only offering coverage if I meet the deductible, but the repair cost is below that amount, which leaves me responsible for the full out-of-pocket expense. On top of that, I am being told my premium may increase if I file the repair through them, which is difficult to understand given that this was a spontaneous defect, not an at-fault incident. Other Nissan Rogue drivers have reported the same issue, which suggests this may be a known problem and should be treated as such.

28 Equipment problem of the 2017 Nissan Rogue

Failure Date: 05/19/2026

30 Equipment problem of the 2023 Nissan Rogue

Failure Date: 05/16/2026

World car Nissan states the issues with the vehicle are not recall related. They blame the defects on a faulty oil temp sensor and engine mount. When the incident occurred signaling for us to take it into the shop, the vehicle slowed down very suddenly and the engine force was limited by the system. Even waiting for the car to cool down, it did not start and work properly. Even a day after the incident, the accelerator was not working.

When accelerating, the car fails too move forward. I then place it in neutral while it is still rolling and pump the acceleratior. This then gets the car moving forward again. This has happened about once every 2 to 3 weeks. It is currently at the dealer service department and they have run the diagnostics on it but so far can't find anything wrong. This car is very dangerous to drive as is because it will eventually cause an accident.
