The light component above the dash completely just fell out while I was on the highway, hanging by wires and obscuring my vision. Also there is a bluetooth audio issue where no one can hear me when my phone is connected via bluetooth or wired.

When accelerating, the car fails too move forward. I then place it in neutral while it is still rolling and pump the acceleratior. This then gets the car moving forward again. This has happened about once every 2 to 3 weeks. It is currently at the dealer service department and they have run the diagnostics on it but so far can't find anything wrong. This car is very dangerous to drive as is because it will eventually cause an accident.

I opened the drivers door, got in, closed the door and the back windshield shattered.
Then rear hatch glass exploded. All glass was outside the vehicle. My Rogue was in my driveway. I drove it at 11 am it sat from 12 till 5:30 pm when we heard the explosion. Very scary. It could have hurt so many people. No notice on my dash for any failure. This was reported to Nissan. No warranty. It's at my cost to replace.

Rear windshield glass shattered on its own while driving.
The passenger side roof is leaking water. It’s leaks through the roof and through the headliner. The water leaks onto the passenger curtain airbag before it leaks onto the headliner. It’s on the pass side between the sunroof and the passenger door of the car and on the a pillar. Worried it will affect airbag or make the roof moldy. It’s hard to see in photos but easy to see in person.
I was sitting in stopped traffic when the incident occurred. My sunroof was open at the time. Without any warning or external impact, I heard a sudden loud “boom,” and the sunroof glass shattered. Glass fragments dispersed throughout the vehicle, and the lower portion of the sunroof appeared to have exploded. There were no objects, debris, or other vehicles that made contact with my car. The failure appeared to be spontaneous. Vehicle information: year: 2023 make: Nissan model: Rogue conditions at time of incident: speed: 0 mph (stopped traffic) weather: clear blue skies, sunny, approximately 84°f safety concern: this incident created a significant safety hazard. The sudden explosion of glass without warning could have caused injury to occupants or led to a loss of vehicle control if the vehicle had been in motion. I am aware that there have been other consumer reports of sunroof glass shattering unexpectedly in similar vehicles across the industry, including reports involving Nissan Rogue models. This raises concern about a potential defect in the sunroof glass or installation.
I closed the passenger door on my car and the rear window disintegrated.
Anytime the ac is on for longer than 10 min, it leaks water down the driver side panel onto the floor mats.

My driver side floor mats are soaked with water. While running the ac, water drips from the driver's side console onto the floor.
The radiator fans in the Nissan Rogues are faulty. The ac stops working and then the car overheats causing loss of fluid and white smoke coming out from underneath the hood. The engine light didn't even come on to warn us that the car was overheating.

I was driving down the road doing 70mph in a 75mph when out of nowhere my 2023 Nissan Rogue just shut down no power, no warning, no nothing a extremely terrifying experience. I managed to pull over on the side of the road and it would not start back up, and is still inoperable and sitting on the side of the road because I can't get it towed to my Nissan dealership and the luck of it all is I just had my vehicle diagnosis on a open recall on 3/23/2026 they did a engine inspection, reprogrammed the ecm, and did a road test, now 3 weeks later this happens to me, maybe it wasn't apparent at the time, but something happened to where I was put in danger and this is a serious problem involving the Nissan Rogue.
Back rear glass shattered for no reason is it due to faulty rear suspension or poor glass quality vehicle only has 9200 miles.
Radiator fan leading to engine overheating, fan fails to turn on causing high engine temperatures & ac failure. Nissan is aware of issues & takes no responsibility. Early on when vehicle experienced symptoms & under warranty, I brought vehicle in several times & was told they couldn’t find anything wrong. Since warranty has expired, we’ve had to fix once & now it’s happening again. Some symptoms: loud rattling in engine bay, ac blows hot air while idling & low speeds, engine overheating & stalling.

Incident date: 04/05/2026 vehicle speed: 65–70 mph location: [xxx] component: engine / power train / fuel system summary of safety defect: while traveling at highway speeds (65–70 mph) with four passengers (including two children), the vehicle suffered a sudden, catastrophic engine failure without any prior warning or symptomatic noise. The malfunction indicator light (mil) began flashing rapidly, immediately followed by a total loss of motive power. Despite throttle input, the vehicle failed to maintain speed or accelerate, creating an immediate hazard in high-speed traffic. Hazardous conditions encountered: upon the loss of power, I observed white smoke trailing from the exhaust and a strong burning odor entering the cabin from the engine compartment. To avoid a high-speed rear-end collision, I was forced to perform an emergency maneuver across active lanes of traffic to reach the shoulder. Due to the immediate fear of a vehicle fire (indicated by the smoke and burning smell), my family was forced to evacuate the vehicle and wait outside in a remote location for six hours. Correlation to known defects: this incident appears to be a direct manifestation of the defect described in Nissan recall id r25e3/r25e4 / NHTSA id 26v0801 regarding engine main bearing seizure. The failure resulted in a complete loss of propulsion and a potential fire risk due to fluid ignition or a breached engine block. Post-incident status: the vehicle was towed to Nissan of cumming and is currently awaiting a formal inspection for internal metal debris. The failure of this critical component under highway conditions posed a life-threatening risk to my family and other motorists. Information redacted pursuant to the freedom of information act (foia), 5 u. S. C. 552(b)(6).
While driving at approximately 70 mph on I-76 , a “cvt hot” warning appeared on the dashboard. Immediately after, the vehicle lost power and would not accelerate normally, creating a safety hazard in traffic. I was forced to pull over multiple times. This issue began after a recall repair was performed on the vehicle. The condition resolved temporarily after shutting the vehicle off, but the failure was sudden and dangerous. While driving, multiple warning messages appeared including awd system errors and check engine light. The vehicle’s performance became unstable and unreliable. This created concern about loss of control and drivability. The vehicle had recently undergone recall service, after which these issues began occurring intermittently. The vehicle was brought to an authorized Nissan dealership multiple for diagnosis of the cvt warning, awd errors, and loss of power. The dealership kept the vehicle for several hours on multiple occasions but stated they were unable to replicate the issue. No repair was performed any of the times. The safety concern remains unresolved. This continually happens and they yell at me saying there's nothing they could do. To be direct: I am aware that “unable to replicate” is often used to avoid opening warranty claims or authorizing costly repairs. However, this does not resolve the issue, nor does it eliminate the safety risk. The vehicle is demonstrably unsafe when the failure occurs, and the burden should not be shifted onto the customer simply because the issue is intermittent.
I am reporting a safety defect involving my 2022 Nissan Rogue related to NHTSA recall 25v437 (engine bearing failure). Prior to complete engine failure, I experienced multiple instances of sudden loss of power while driving at highway speeds, creating a serious safety hazard. In one instance, this nearly resulted in a multi-vehicle accident in heavy traffic. The vehicle also exhibited additional symptoms consistent with the recall, including engine shaking, knocking noises, rough riding and hard shifting, burning smell, and warning lights. Nissan performed the recall service, which consisted of reprogramming the engine control module (ecm). However, this software update did not repair or replace the defective engine components. The vehicle’s condition worsened after the recall service. The engine ultimately failed completely at approximately 122,000 miles, shortly after the recall repair was completed. This indicates that the recall remedy is ineffective and does not adequately address the safety risk, as a software update cannot prevent or correct pre-existing mechanical failure of engine bearings. I am concerned that other vehicles with this defect remain at risk of sudden power loss and potential crashes despite having the recall performed.

Despite having recall repairs completed, I have experienced two separate accidents within a 3–4 month period and no longer feel that this vehicle is safe to operate. Given the known safety recalls associated with this model, including engine failure risks that can result in sudden loss of power, I am extremely concerned that my vehicle may still be affected by an unresolved or improperly remedied defect. This situation presents a serious safety risk to myself, my passengers, and others on the road.
Unknown: assessment - on April 2nd early morning around 5 am, I left kaaawa, hi zip code 96730 and headed to kaneohe, zip code 96744. When I left home the temperature was around 67degree f and there was a light rain. About 15 minutes later at the hygenic store, the temperature dropped to around 64. The front windshield began to fog; I turned on the window defrost vent set at 70degree. I heard a lot pop/crack coming from the passenger side, lower frame area of the windshield. When I glanced, I did not see anything at the time. When this happened, there were no other cars in front of me. Later at home, I checked again, did not see anything. Two days later, I got into the car and there was a crack from the lower frame moving up the glass about 7 inches. As the days went by the crack got longer. I did not see a point of impact. As far as I could tell, the crack started from the frame. Unfortunately, I did not take any photos. I contacted patrick at windward Nissan dealership parts department directly (his personal cell phone); he told me to utilize ace auto glass. There was no inspection by dealership or insurance. Utilized safelite for replacement. There was no warning of any failure by cars system.
The front passenger door lock does not fully engage or disengage with the key fob or when putting the car in park. The lever must be maually controls by hand to unlock or lock the door. 0.

The active grill shutter is in operative and has had to be replaced three times with an 18 months. I was told that this is a common issue with this vehicle and that when the active grill shutter stops functioning, it isn’t a danger to the engine and can cause dangerous scenarios.

Sunroof exploded would not go into drive or neutral lost all power going 75mph going down highway brake went all the way down to floor and shuts off wouldn’t start back up for about 5 min was stuck in reverse world not go into drive until I shutdown vehicle and waited a few minutes on a busy street and then today lock/unlock button was opening and locking while driving down street and screen went blank then lost power about 10 min later started right back up only had 2300 miles on it.
The vehicle became inoperable at high speeds on the interstate, I-65. My husband was able to safely merge to the right shoulder to avoid any crashes. The car made some loud clunking sounds before all power was lost. The car was then towed to the nearest Nissan dealership. It took 3 business days for the dealer to look at the car. The entire engine needed to be replaced. The dealership was able to replace the engine and complete quality assessment/drive and this was completed 4/16/2026. Because this was part of a trip interruption, the dealership is over 150 miles away from my home. I am still not reunited with my car. I have been without this vehicle for 25 days.
I was going about 30 mph and slowing to turn into my driveway, when my rear window exploded, I thought someone shot it out. I went to dealership and they said it's not covered by my warranty and that they have heard of this happening. So Nissan knows this is a problem yet they refuse to recall it. I've had the car 1 month, I purchased it on February 23, 2026 and this occurred on March 24, 2026. I'm also aware that there is a class action suit against them for this problem, they are trying to say it's wear and tear.
My 2018 Nissan Rogue sport has been exhibiting intermittent cvt transmission hesitation for several months. The hesitation occurs regularly after stops and during longer drives, and the only way to temporarily resolve the issue is to turn the vehicle off and back on. The check engine light has also illuminated. My vehicle only has 67,000 miles on it. I brought the vehicle to a Nissan dealership where I was quoted $7,240 + tax to replace the full transmission assembly. I contacted Nissan consumer affairs who declined to offer any assistance. This is a serious safety concern — the hesitation after stops creates a significant risk of accident, particularly in traffic. I fear that the transmission will fail completely while driving, potentially causing a severe accident. This appears to be a widespread and well-documented issue with Nissan's cvt transmission. I am requesting that this issue be formally investigated and that Nissan be held accountable.
Fuel smell in the cab of the vehicle.
The sliding portion of the panoramic sunroof spontaneously shattered with an explosive sound and force without provocation or impact damage occurring. We were driving at 5-10 mph through our apartment complex, but it would have been more dangerous had we been driving at a higher rate of speed on a street or highway. My husband suffered some light scratches on his left arm, but no other injuries thank goodness. We immediately drove the vehicle to pinnacle Nissan, but they denied assistance and coverage as well as Nissan consumer affairs. Repair is pending through auto insurance through 3rd party vendor blue chip glass, so it won't be available for inspection after this week once repaired, but I have photos.
Back windshield shattered out of nowhere while vehicle was parked.
Was driving west bound on i565 & heard a loud pop. Panoramic roof burst spontaneously.
The Jaguar dealership of chantilly, va provided me with a rental car from enterprise car rental. The rental car was provided on the 9th of March 2026. I drove the vehicle to my residence in [xxx] . I parked the vehicle in my driveway. The vehicle in question is a 2024 Nissan Rogue in which the back windshield spontaneously shattered without any warning or notification. The vehicle was secured properly and my security surveillance did not depict any foul play from any perpetrators. I discovered the shattered back windshield on the 13th of Friday 2026. I reported the incident immediately to my service advisor of Jaguar Land Rover of chantilly, va 20151. Information redacted pursuant to the freedom of information act (foia), 5 u. S. C. 552(b)(6).
2024 Nissan Rogue sv. Traveling home from [xxx] we were just out side of [xxx] and traveling about 60mph down the lovely [xxx] . Sunny and 40 degrees, had just driven through rain/snow and then the skies cleared up and sun came back out. All of a sudden, bam! sounded like something large had hit the roof but we were not under any trees and there were no other vehicles nearby. I slowed down then noticed in the rear-view the back window was shattered, but still mostly intact. By the time I was able to get to safe place to pull over some of the pieces started to fall inside. I pushed the remaining glass inside and went to walmart and bought duct tape and plastic to make it the remaining 1. 5 hours home. It's my wife's company car. Information redacted pursuant to the freedom of information act (foia), 5 u. S. C. 552(b)(6).
Driver side door will not open when interior level is pulled, button is depressed, or the black toggle button behind the handle will not allow the door to open at all. This is very scary!!! car is parked position, vehicle is turned off. Door wont open even if you try to push it. Turned the car on after 5 minutes, took three tries to get the door open! called Nissan 3/13/26 approx 9:30 am [xxx] ) to see if there was a recall or what to do as this is a safety issue. Told to take the car to the dealer. This is the second time this has happened in a month. The first time I thought it was an isolated event in February. No accident or injury to report information redacted pursuant to the freedom of information act (foia), 5 u. S. C. 552(b)(6).
Twice-- most recently in March 2026, the back up camera and the 360 camera failed. The screen went blank. Putting the transmission in reverse did not engage the backup camera and pushing the "camera" button on the dash did not engage the front or 360 camera. The interface screen was blank. After shutting off the car for a couple hours and then restarting it, the cameras worked again. Brought the car to a Nissan dealer and they could not replicate the symptoms. It occurs intermittently. The dealer said there was no recall for my VIN regarding the cameras. It's a 2024 Nissan Rogue sl with about 25,000 miles on it.
