While operating my 2023 Nissan Rogue, the panoramic sunroof exploded outward without any external impact. The incident occurred under normal driving conditions with no debris strike, collision, or environmental hazard. The explosion produced a loud sound consistent with owner reports in past Nissan sunroof cases, often described as similar to a "gunshot. " the glass front the sunroof rained down on myself, my wife, and our child. A police report was taken of the incident as well as an insurance claim. This incident could have resulted in serious physical harm to myself, my passenger, and or other motorist had the glass gotten into my eyes as being the driver and possibly losing control of the vehicle and possibly hitting another motorist. This also could have caused injury to the passengers' eyes as glass was flying into the vehicle with the air from the outside was rushing into the vehicle.

I am reporting an issue related to a safety recall involving the electronic throttle system on my 2025 Nissan. I scheduled two separate service appointments with mossy Nissan kearny mesa (san diego, CA) to have this recall addressed, and in both cases, the dealership failed to inspect or service the vehicle on the scheduled day. First appointment – March 6 at 8:45 I dropped off my vehicle at the scheduled time and left it at the dealership for the entire day. I arranged transportation home at my own expense. At approximately 4:00 pm—over 7 hours later—I was contacted and informed that the dealership’s computers were down and that my vehicle had not been inspected at all. No prior notice was given, and the vehicle remained untouched for the entire duration of the appointment. Second appointment – April 8 at 2:30 I scheduled a second appointment and again arranged my schedule to bring the vehicle in. Upon arrival at the scheduled appointment time, I was informed that the vehicle would not be inspected that day and would need to remain overnight before any evaluation could begin. In both cases, despite having scheduled appointments and leaving the vehicle in their possession for extended periods, the dealership did not perform even a basic inspection related to a safety recall. The recall notice indicated that the repair would take approximately one hour. Instead, I lost two workdays and incurred out-of-pocket transportation expenses without any progress on a safety-related issue. This raises concerns about the dealership’s handling of manufacturer safety recalls and the delay in addressing a potentially safety-critical defect.
There are two issues with my 2019 Nissan Rogue - 1. Parasitic drain - battery dies if the car isn’t operated for 5 days. 2- door lock actuator - door lock actuator on the driver side door has failed and doesn’t work through the remote. A key has to be inserted in the car or manually locked for it to be locked.

While driving my 2023 Nissan Rogue (approximately 51,000 miles), the vehicle completely lost all electrical power twice. The first incident occurred on Wednesday while stopped at a traffic light, and the second occurred on Friday afternoon after parking the vehicle; in the second instance, it would not start and had to be towed to the dealership. Prior to the failures, the vehicle displayed cvt malfunction and mil (malfunction indicator lamp) warnings, which the dealership was made aware of. When the vehicle was brought to the dealership (keating Nissan), they identified a fatigued negative battery terminal and cable assembly as the cause. They performed a temporary adjustment, but stated that the repair is not permanent and may require replacement. Only days before these incidents, the dealership performed a multi-point inspection where the battery was marked as passing inspection. Because the vehicle lost all power while driving, this was a serious safety concern, putting me, passengers, and others on the road at risk. The vehicle can be inspected by the dealership upon request. I do not feel confident that the root issue has been permanently resolved, and I am concerned given the age and mileage of the vehicle that such a failure occurred so early. I would appreciate assistance reviewing this situation, confirming the appropriate permanent repair, and advising on options for support given the safety concern.
The transmission was …. . Violently shaking , jerking, hesitating and eventually completely stopped working . The dealer recommended another transmission. In the meantime, we saw that some tranmissions from this car had a recall and vouchers were out to used to fix it.

On Friday my car wouldn’t start. I put in a request for aaa to come out and do a battery test. The technician comes out and hooks up my battery to the portable box and it still didn’t have the power to crank the car. The car turned on and was clicking it didn’t have enough power to actually start the car. My dad came and gave me a jump Saturday morning, and said he thinks I needed a new battery. I drove to advanced auto by my house had them perform a battery test and the told me the battery was complete shot. I had to spend $300 on a new battery. After I left there and got onto rt 70, the thermostat in the corner of the dash, the needle started moving up more towards the hot once I accelerated to 50 mph. The way home was a night mare as the car started to lose power, check engine light came on then the check oil light. At this point my car is jerking across the intersection where I had to put on my hazards and barely made it home. It’s weird this all happened within a day and so sudden. I got notification about the recalls and was thinking this is all related. Monday morning 3/3 I get the car towed to Nissan on rt 37, where the told me I needed a engine but not due from the recall. The recall was for oil temp and the car has a coolant leak that leaked on the engine and I would have to pay out of pocket. I asked for the report they haven’t sent anything over yet. I bought that car from carvana last March on the 17th, so it hasn’t been a year and they told me I’m out of my warranty’s at 71 thousand miles. I feel so defeated as I’m paying 500 a month for this is car and haven’t had it for a year. I’m reaching out to file a complaint or to see if there’s anything I can do on my end. With the coolant leak, I’ve never had any issues with the car prior as it drove regularly and never saw any residue on the ground. Nissan representative said she’s working with her manager to see if they can do a good will.
Rear window spontaneously exploded.
My rear windshield just shattered for no reason while my car was parked.
My 2015 Nissan Rogue select, driver side rear door, door lock has failed with the door in the locked and closed position. I understand there is an ongoing lawsuit over this failure and I am making a complaint to support that this is a safety hazard. While other means of escaping the vehicle are available for an emergency situation, they are less than ideal if the door lock has failed. So far this is the only lock that has completely failed in this manner.

Yesterday, I got into my car - closed my driver door - and my back rear window completely shattered. Upon research online, this is a common issue arising among Nissan Rogues. My safety was at risk due to glass exploding everywhere. The dealership where I got the vehicle has been informed of this issue. The vehicle was just purchased three weeks ago and passed its inspection. There were no warning signals, etc.
While driving on the highway the sunroof exploded.
2008-13 Nissan Rogue/2014 Rogue select (s35) driver’s kick panel harness connector inspection voluntary safety recall campaign reference: r1421 I spoke with Nissan and the recall does not cover my VIN number however I had previously owned a 2015 Nissan altima and experienced the same issue. My car will be serviced on 2/24/26 with a Nissan dealership in hampton, va for repairs related to this issue. My daughter drives the car while she is away at college. The issue began a few weeks ago when snow and rain occurred and now the bluetooth is going out and now the check engine light appears. I'm pretty certain this VIN should be included in the recall previously issued. The car maybe out of warranty but this appears to be a manufacturer related problem. I'm attaching current video.

After sitting idle for a few hours, the car jerks and does a sputter when going from reverse to drive.
While vehicle was parked in driveway the rear windshield just exploded suddenly causing glass to fly everywhere. Causing a risk for injury for a human and animal. There was no signs or warnings just happened suddenly. The vehicle has been towed to Nissan for repair but was told to not expect my vehicle back anytime soon. In the mean time I have a loaner.
The front passenger car door failed to lock. It is considered a safety issue as it can leave the vehicle vulnerable to theft and may also pose a risk while driving if the door opens unexpectedly. It's important to address this problem promptly to ensure safety and security. There were no warning messages indicating the failed lock. I just happened to pull the handle and that door opened when all other doors remained locked. Prior to this discovery, I had experienced an incident where someone went through my car and took out valuables (coins and cash) but I was unaware that the door was not locking. Once the issue was identified, I took the car to the dealership for diagnosis, and the issue was a short in the door lock actuator (4 door 2018 Nissan rouge). I took the car in for immediate diagnosis and costly repair ($852. 03) as I did not feel comfortable driving or parking a car which could not be locked. (I am unable to upload the repair invoice, tried as a pdf and jpeg. ).

Upon entering the vehicle and shutting the driver side door to drive home the back windshield imploded without any warning. The hatch was not used that day and with the shutting of the drivers side door the rear windshield made a popping noise and caved in completely on itself all over the back of my vehicle before the vehicle was even turned on. There were no previous cracks, no signs of wear and the vehicle was only a year old bought brand new. We are currently over the miles on the warranty (barely) and Nissan corporate advised to take it to a local dealership and the local dealership told me I had to call corporate. No one could explain why this would or could happen to the vehicle. The weather was not frigid nor hot at the time of this event. Nissan is not taking responsibility for a faulty product even after I addressed the current class action lawsuit other Nissan Rogue owners have put up against them for the same issue. Luckily my toddler son was not in the vehicle at the time that this happened in his carseat or he would have ended up with the potential of shatter glass landing on him. Additionally if I was driving at the time that is a huge risk of distraction, crashing, and the mess of debris. There is was no warning, no previous damage, and nothing that anyone has offered to do to help. The quote to get the rear windshield replaced will have to be paid completely out of pocket. I suspect that due to mass producing these vehicles they did not take the time to make sure proper safety measure have taken place. Time stamped photos and a case with Nissan corporate have been put into place.
The rear glass got shattered unexpectedly without any impact.
After sitting overnight in the garage, the back windshield glass shattered when simply closing the front driver door.
The back window on our 2025 Rogue shattered an explored to today February 15, 2026, safety was compromised by not being able to see out of back window. There is no back window to reproduced. No warning just happen. After being parked.
I rented this vehicle from enterprise on 02/05/26 with approximately 50k+ miles on it. On 02/15/26 at approximately 945am I was stopped in a restaurant drive thru and heard a loud pop and looked back to see the rear window had shattered. I got out and verified nothing had hit the window. The driver next to me stated he saw the rear window explode without notice or outside force. The temperatures were in the mid 40s and raining. The rear defrost was not on at the time nor was the rear wiper. However both were on approximately 15-30 minutes prior for about 15 minutes.
Incident summary: on February 14, 2026, at an automatic conveyor car wash, my Nissan vehicle would not shift into neutral while in motion on the conveyor belt. It stayed in drive/reverse, creating a hazard as it could resist conveyor movement or cause unintended acceleration/reverse. What component or system failed or malfunctioned, and is it available for inspection upon request? transmission shifter/gear selection system (likely electronic shift-by-wire or cvt controls) prevented shift to neutral while vehicle was in low-speed motion. This seems due to a software safety interlock blocking neutral during movement, similar to reported Nissan issues (e. G. , Rogue/pathfinder/ariya models requiring hold procedures or "neutral hold mode"). Vehicle available for inspection and in my possession, knoxville TN). How was your safety or the safety of others put at risk? inability to shift to neutral prevented free rolling on conveyor, risking resistance, jerky movement, hopping off track, collision with mechanism/other vehicles, or rear-end incidents. Hazard to me (driver) and car wash attendants/customers. Has the problem been reproduced or confirmed by a dealer or independent service center? unknown — incident today; not yet diagnosed/reproduced at dealer. Similar owner complaints noted in forums (difficulty shifting to neutral at car washes due to safety features). Has the vehicle or component been inspected by the manufacturer, police, insurance representatives or others? unknown — no inspections yet by Nissan, police (no crash), insurance, or others. No damage occurred. Were there any warning lamps, messages or other symptoms of the problem prior to the failure, and when did they first appear? no warning lamps, messages, noises, or symptoms prior. Shifter worked normally idle (shifted to neutral after initial exit), but failed again in motion—likely motion-related interlock.

I turned on my Nissan Rogue 2024. The moment I hit this on button I heard a loud bang and my back windshield had completely shattered. I immediately called the dealership I bought it from beau townsend Nissan because I knew I had paid for security plus gold preferred and ultimate platinum protection and wanted to know what to do. The dealership gave me the number to customer care, then customer care said it’s not covered under extended warranty and gave me another number, and after talking to various people I ended up back with the dealership begging for help. They said OH it definitely would not be covered. This incident posed risks as there was no warning anything would happen. Much of the glass shattered into the trunk in small crevices and I have children. The glass sprayed across the driveway where it can get in tired if a shard is missed. I had to leave my car with a huge hole outside in my neighborhood where there has been convicted theft.
The back window randomly exploded while I was taking my children to school and there are multiple complaints of the same issue but Nissan hasn’t issued a recall yet. My children could have been cut or injured yet I am somehow responsible for a window exploding on its own all because I used the defoggers. That is not safe at all.
June 2025 rear door locks stopped working. (odometer 12,538) I was unable to lock/unlock doors with key fob or with inside driver's door lock/unlock button. Repaired 06/10/2025 at mentor Nissan, 44060, by replacement of parts #82500-6r0b & 82501-6r0b: controller-lock in both rear doors. Incident #2: Feb 2026 front driver-side door lock became inoperable, the same as had occurred with the rear door locks. I'm at Nissan mentor today (02/17/2026) for evaluation & repair. (odometer 15,200) both of these door lock issues resulted in inability to enter/exit vehicle. Very dangerous if someone were unable to exit vehicle in emergency. Otherwise a big inconvenience requiring one to climb over other seats to enter/exit vehicle. The car is under extended warranty. June 2025 I paid $100 deductible plus tax & fee, totaling $110. 21. Today's repair cost to be determined. In each incident there were no warning lamps or messages. Both issues began with intermittent lock/unlock failure, then escalated to complete failure within 2-3 weeks. This has caused several inconveniences of not being able to enter the vehicle through the effected doors. And now the second incident again requires waiting for repair. In the first instance with rear door there was a wait of several weeks for the needed replacement parts. I anticipate the same delay with the front door repair. As I write this I'm at mentor Nissan facility waiting for report from service department.
I went out and got in my 2025 Nissan roque in the garage. I opened the driver's side door, got in, closed the door and heard a loud explosion. My back window completely blew out! it was frightening! glass is all over inside the back of my car and behind it. I'm thankful no one was in that whole area! I called my insurance that day and they contacted safelite immediately and set up and appointment to have them come and replace it here in my garage, although it has taken 6 days. 6 days without a vehicle! I have since learned there is class action law suit on this ongoing matter.
Check engine light came on. I hooked it up to a machine and read a code p2101 which indicates. Throttle actuator controlled motor store current failure. I had told to Nissan they did an inspection came back that he cleaned the throttlebody charge me $1053 and sent me on my way and my check engine light keeps coming on and it’s a recall on this particular car with this particular problem, but my VIN number is not showing up.
I bought my Rogue August 2025, brand new. I am at home and my rear windshield has just busted out for no reason. It is 38 degrees today outside. I have not moved my vehicle at all today. For no reason, just sitting in driveway, it has busted. I looked up and it looks as if other Rogues are doing this. This is very dangerous. What if I had been driving the vehicle.
The rear back window shattered on its own without any impact or object interference.
While I was leaving a restaurant my back windshield spontaneously shattered in the middle of me driving it, I had the front and back heat on at the time it’s shattered, I am a first-time driver at the age of [xxx] , and I was extremely terrifying for my safety and other drivers safety while I drove my vehicle after the glass shattered out of nowhere due to no fault of my own, was worried about glass being thrown around in the vehicle, but got the vehicle home safely, I am now responsible for paying out-of-pocket for safelite to replace this back windshield, there were no warning signs it just shattered on its own! then I found that there was a class action suit against Nissan Rogue 2021-2025 saying that the back windshields are defective. Information redacted pursuant to the freedom of information act (foia), 5 u. S. C. 552(b)(6).
We have colder weather, so we had normal ice and snow on the vehicle. I walked the backside of the vehicle to the driver side. I entered on the drivers side. I started the car and turned on the defrost, I then heard the cracking, which I assumed to be the ice. When I shut the driver door the back rear window shattered.
