Tl- the contact owns a 2016nissan Rogue s fwd. The contact stated that while driving approximately 55 mph when the steering wheel suddenly locked while driving with the curve of the road. Once this occurred the contact was unable to steer the vehicle causing them to end up in front collision with an eighteen wheeler. The air bags did deploy. The vehicle was towed and deemed totaled. A police report was filed. The contact received injuries on the entire right side of ther body and medical attention was needed. Tl the contact owns a 2011 Nissan Rogue. While driving 45 mph, the steering wheel seized. The contact had to use more strength than usual to make turns. The contact had to improvise to avoid a crash. The contact stated that the eps, traction, and stability warning indicators illuminated. The dealer was not contacted. The contact's husband diagnosed that the power steering assist failed. The vehicle was not repaired. The manufacturer was made aware of the failure and did not assist. The failure mileage was 114,145.
