My car all of a sudden is having electrical issues. The radio is changing stations and volume all by itself. The steering wheel is getting hard to turn. The brake light fuse is burning out right away. I’ve replaced the fuse 3 times already in one week but it keeps burning out within 24hrs or less. My gages are going up and down fast motion. My battery all of a sudden is draining and it is brand new. I only have a little over 60,000. This is not normal at all and it is going to cause me to get in an accident.

Also could hear noise is steering column. Steering wheel locked with no warning lamps or messages. Took vehicle to Nissan dealership. Dealership said it didn't lock up for them but they could hear the noise. Dealership took steering column apart and replaced steering column clock spring.

Buttons to scroll through dash menu sticking and not working due to spring issue. I noticed this was a common problem and make it difficult to go through the menu to check my tire pressure, manage my driver assistance such as emergency braking and blind spot, and any other systems related to setting up my driving experience.
The contact owned a 2021 Nissan Rogue. The contact stated while driving 50 mph, the steering wheel pulled to the right independently and the steering wheel was vibrating abnormally. The contact stated that the vehicle was towed to the residence. The contact was informed by the tow truck driver that the steering column had split in half. No warning light was illuminated. A dealer was contacted. The vehicle was then towed to the dealer where it was diagnosed and determined that the tie rod had split in half due to a heavy impact. The manufacturer was notified of the failure, and informed the contact that representative would provide a call back. The failure mileage was 60,000.
Tie rod on passenger side of car broke after pulling out of driveway. Dealership mechanic stated the rods were previously bent which caused it to break. I biggest issue about this, the car was at the dealership 6/23/25 because the car went into limp mode and abe lights were coming in. They did a final inspection and did not report the tie rod was bent.

I was driving. I hit nothing. My steering traction light comes on, and the car starts pulling to the right. I go in the shop. There is a bend in my passenger inner tie rod. I took it to the dealer. They keep trying to get me to say I had an accident. I did not. Now they want to charge me 3500 to replace the whole steering rack because they "can't just purchase the inner tie rod". Which they can. Many people are having the same problem with their tie rods being faulty on these cars.
Buttons such as the selector wheel on the left side of the steering wheel stick and it keeps wanting to cycle through settings because of it. There is no way to pop it back out, and it remains stuck. From reading online many people have had this issue and the only thing Nissan will do is offer to supply you with a new steering wheel. One person has a 2023 and they are on their third or fourth steering wheel because of this issue and Nissan will do nothing to fix it. It is ridiculous that cars this now have this problem and people keep having to pay for out-of-pocket. We are shortly outside of our warranty and are stuck dealing with this now.
The power steering failed while driving.

There was no incident, just routine occurrences of the following that could lead to one: 1) the wipers do not clear the upper right (passenger) side of the windshield, creating a blind spot, which is especially dangerous when turning. Photo attached, though note this is a mild instance and visibility can be much worse. 2) the rearview camera has been blacking out while the car is in reverse. The black screen lasts about a second and is becoming more common, maybe once a day. 3) the power steering goes out occasionally, which I am strong enough to deal with, but would be difficult for my children (who also drive the car) to deal with.

Passengers side inner tie rod end. With normal driving conditions and normal road conditions with bumps and holes bent. So much so the self driving system nor I could drive it without turning it hard left to try and keep it straight. I have pictures this tie rod end is much to small of a diameter to be in a position to carry the load of front drive and steering wheels. Normal road conditions today are much to rough for this.
The contact owns a 2017 Nissan Rogue. The contact stated that while his wife was driving at 30 mph just after a snowstorm, approaching an intersection, and attempting to slow the vehicle, the abs failed to prevent the brakes from locking, causing the vehicle to skid. As a result, the driver briefly lost control of the vehicle, which left the roadway and only came to a complete stop after colliding with a snowbank approximately 200 yards from the roadway. The contact also stated that at that same moment, his wife became aware that the electronic power steering was not functioning properly, requiring increased effort in her attempt to regain control of the vehicle. The side curtain air bags were deployed. No warning lights were illuminated. The vehicle was towed to the dealer, who had yet to provide a diagnosis. The vehicle was not repaired. A police report was filed, and injuries were reported. The contact stated that he and his wife both sustained various injuries as a result of the failure: scratches, bruises, and burns possibly caused by the curtain airbag deployment. However, they did not immediately seek medical treatment but planned to at a later date. The manufacturer was notified of the failure, a case was opened, and the contact was referred to the NHTSA hotline for assistance. The failure mileage was 109,000.

My vehicles tie rods broke on my way home from work while I pulled slowly onto a snowy road from my work driveway. I felt my car slide and tap the side of a curb, or so I thought. When I couldn't drive the vehicle I had to have it towed. The Nissan dealership I took it to said the damage, $9000, was caused by bumping into the curb. My insurance company did not agree with their repair amount and my vehicle was again towed to a nearby alternate dealership. After one month and half, my vehicle was repaired and I picked it up, only to find that the vehicle is intermittently vibrating and shaking. I believe this is the prelude for the same issue I had before. The break in the tie rods made me lose control of my vehicle. I have since seen tie rod recalls from Nissan and multiple complaints about the same issue. I am afraid for my safety while driving this vehicle. I contacted Nissan consumers complaints and they wanted me to wait for their 90 day investigation in order for them to take responsibility for anything, while I remained in a rental I had to pay for. This puts not only myself at a safety risk, but anyone who is driving with me or near me. I told that to consumers complaints. I don't want to see anyone else get hurt because of this issue. My vehicle is currently available for inspection. I am leasing it at $500 a month and am afraid to drive it.
After noticing my front tires are wearing on the outside much quicker thank n the rear tires, and I rotate them with every oil change, I noticed a clicking in the steering when making a hard left turn. My mechanic told me it's an issue with the steering rack and I saw that Nissan is looking into this and may issue a recall. So I wanted to add my name to the list of effected cars.
1) while the car is in a gear other than park, the key is able to be fully and completely removed from the ignition. 2) significant rollaway risk and in direct violation of § 571. 114 standard no. 114; theft protection and rollaway prevention. 49 cfr 571. 114. Specifically subsection 5 (s5) 3) no 4) no 5) no issues noticed, no warnings, lights, or other indications.

Forward collision sensor comes on and deactivates the cruise control and all safety features, sometimes breaking and quickly deceleration the car in traffic, dealer and Nissan refuse to address the issue telling me it's working as intended, feels like the car intends to kill me when this occurs in traffic.

Ok , so 4 weeks ago I was driving down jefferson avenue here in st. Louis mo. The road is completely redone , no bumps, pothole etc. I was traveling about 35mph when car stared this possible wobble. . Got out and notice my drivers side tie rod had snapped in half. Mind you my car only has 44k on it and I take immaculate care of it. I searched all over trying to find a tie rod for it. No one could produce one. Soni called Nissan consumer affairs to get involved amd help locate parts to this car. After them towing my car to a dealer it has sat fir weeks now, amd they finally denied any help saying they wasn't responsible. Amd it was going to have to have a whole new steering rack n pion, which is 2500 dollars I don't have. I've looked around amd called and everyone is saying you hardly ever have to replace all of that for a tie rod. Nissan. I know is under investigation for this happening to other people with the Rogue. I need something done about this and I can't get any help. From Nissan or any Nissan dealer, not even the dealerni bought my car at. This is becoming a head ache and I might have to see about starting a class action lawsuit against them. Not supplying the parts and forcing me to have work dome that doesn't need to be done. Help please if you can!@.
The assessment is I was simply driving down [xxx] where I live, and my car started this horrible wobbling in the front end and I couldn't control the steering wheel. I was able to safely get the Rogue pulled over to the side of the road. I got out upon looking at the car, I couldn't see anything wrong on the outside. But, upon further examination, I got down and laid down and looked under the car, it revealed that the driver's side inner tie rod had snapped in half. This is not normal being my car only has 46k on it. I called my brother in law who is a mechanic and sent him pictures of it and he confirmed it was the tie rod. So I started googling to find a replacement and low and behold, Nissan is under investigation for this problem happening in the 21 Nissan Rogues to ike I have. I called suntrup Nissan where I had purchased the car in may and was basically told by the parts dept there, that there was nothing they could do to help me because they wouldn't even be able to get the part for at least two months. I find that ridiculous. Nissan doesn't even manufacture parts for their own vehicles they sell. . My brother in-law searched until he finally found a place in china that makes them for this model and mwe have one ordered 103. 00 for the tie rod. I couldn't find where my car was in the recall but I feel so should be because it's the same problem they are under investigation for. I cannot afford to have my car looked at at a dealership, because I already pay 600. Month. For the car and I don't have extra money laying round. Nd the dealer already basically told me don't know what to tell you cause we wouldn't be able to fix it. . So I need to know what do do to at least be reimbursed for the labor I've had to pay someone to look. At this and for the part and then changing it. . Car engine light came on and the vehicle automatically slowed itself down to 20 mph as I was in a 45 mph zone, with multiple traffic behind me. No warning!! a hazard sign lit and the mil lit up, saying there is an emissions control system malfunction and to immediately take the car to a repair station. Nissanconnect also sent me a text at 5:12 Saturday night, all repair stations closed. This was very dangerous and the system should not have taken over complete control of the car at that very instant, leaving me completely unable to control the car. It was out of the blue, and I’m still shaking.
While in drive mode my car just shut off. The dash cluster, screen, etc remained on. I was able to put the car in park and start it again, however this could have caused me a horrible accident losing power while in drive like this. I just purchased this vehicle in June of 2024. It has 81k on it. I called the dealership which I bought it at mccarthy auto in sedalia mo. They said I should call Nissan.
On Saturday [xxx] while driving on [xxx] while in cruise control mode and set approx. 71 mph I know that my right knee made minimal contact with keyfob and the engine seemed to shut down and the vehicle decelerated immediately, I had no desire to brake due to my seeing my speed was near 30 mph. Traffic was not directly behind and all I was trying to locate was the 4 way hazard to engage which having only recently purchasing [xxx] and I had driven maybe 60 miles I located but with seeing a couple of vehicles approaching and being in the #2 lane my steering was stiff with little chance to get over safely to the #1 lane or to the further left hov lane, I reached down w/ right hand and made very minimal contact with ignition/ keyfob area and the vehicle had power and was able to regain speed. I absolutely did not attempt to turn the key that was still fully in place. I can not say that other than making contact with no aggressive action or intent was I to believe the vehicle would again be running as it had prior and I proceeded the remainder of my trip (approx. 15-18 miles) with no further issues and without a clue other than I had been made aware of the recall prior to purchase and told it was not anything to be concerned with that the jackknife keyfob seemed to lock in the open position fine, and to just leave it in that position, which I did not agree with that opinion as I read about this safety issue and have brought up on at least 4 occasions prior to and after the sale. We were actually informed by the finance mgr. Upon signing there were no recalls on this vehicle, which we made him aware of and he commented that it would be nice if somebody would let him know that! and I informed sales person on two separate occasions as well asking that it receive the final Nissan remedy yet never being taken very seriously and now unhappy with this event when I that my knee making such slight contact is disturbing! information redacted pursuant to the freedom of information act (foia), 5 u. S. C. 552(b)(6).

I am the 2nd owner of a 2011 Nissan Rogue purchased in 2016. I have had four problems with the vehicle, the major one being the transmission that will not cool and overheats as soon as the temperature goes up. With the most recent heat wave, I have experienced no power going to the wheels. I had no power steering and had to push my car off the road with a friend with in the car. I also experienced a short in the system where it had no power at all and seemed to have no battery power, it clearly is an electrical short. The fourth issue is the passenger seat airbag. I have never received any notice from Nissan about any of these issues since I purchased the car used in 2016. When I called today, I was told that there were no recalls on my car and hung up on by Nissan America. I clearly saw four recalls that had been issued over the years on all four of these issues. I drive for the elderly, homeless, homebound and other persons in need in my community and have done so since I was 14 years old. I am a good citizen and have gone out of my way to try to make things right and just for all people. I am appalled at the conduct and behavior that I received on the phone today. I understand that my car is older but I would have returned my car for service if I had received a recall of which I received none. I know for fact that the recall for the transmission came out in 2016 and should have covered my car. I cannot take care of the people and continue with what I do in my community without a working car. I cannot afford a new car and surely do not deserve such disrespect.
The forward collision warning sensor went out while driving. Took it to granite Nissan in rapid city, sd. They replaced it after a year of waiting on the part. The day after it was repaired, it went out again. They said they have no idea on how to fix the problem. This issue is very dangerous when it is icy outside. When the sensor goes out the car is very unstable. You can only drive at 25 mph and that's pushing it. It seems like the car is trying to apply the brakes to all four wheels at once. The cruise control goes out and it is hard to maintain your speed with the pedal.
At March 23rd, 2024, we have oil change on the car. The service sales came back to tell us that the front lower control arms' bushing is torn and needed repair immediately. Without repairing them, the wheels may disengage from the car. So we have them replaced, since losing the wheels during driving will cost our lives. This is for our safety. What can we do???!!! on conversation with the sales, he said this is a common phenomenon. Our problem on this is that, all the cars that we have owned, we never had the issue. This is the first time. Is this a common occurrence? we are not sure. And we simply can not understand why eight months ago during another oil change, this issue was not detected?! could this be a faulty component installed on the car, we questioned? we also contacted Nissan consumer affairs. Their specialist insisted our car is out of warranty. There is nothing they can do. Is this a responsible car manufacturer's response? at least, they should look in the issue and gave us a satisfying answer, we believed. Anyway, please look into this. On the parts that were replaced, dealership has them. We don't have them in our hand. Sorry about this. All and all, please look into the issue. We just want other Rogue owners spared of the issue! thank you for reading this and have a great day!.

The Rogue 2019 sv has only 26785 miles the steering is making a winy grinding sound when you turn the steering wheel no matter what direction or rotation the sound is there. It seems a bit stiff especially in morning and worse as it's gotten colder out here in n. Y overall seems to turn ok, and I even had to put all 4 new tires at such low mileage. But concerned something more is wrong with it and just waiting to break with the steering.

I bought Nissan Rogue 2017 in 2021, but I have been having issues with tires, even though I had pump it and went to repair the tire many times, I received a notice for key recall in 2023, I went for to evan mills Nissan dealer in March 2023, they just straighten the key, that I should not bend the key, and I have been having issues with car engine light, abs and malfunction's, I have, this car had shut off four times while driving. Brakes & engine shut off while driving on [xxx]. I was driving in chicopee MA, the moment I inserted the key, while driving, the car suddenly accelerated, could not control the brakes, jack up and suddenly turned off, while driving with my kids in it, the speed sensor decrease and not accelerated at all, I took it to scanning at emission test, I changed part as requested, but yet the engine light and abs is still on, I went to the dealer on 11/26/2024 but they told that I have to pay $200 to diagnose this car before anything can be done, I have been having issues this car since they one, because the dealer sold this car for me with bad tires and also fogged the price from $17,000 to $23,000, I traded Hyundai sonata 2017 and I did not get anything back, I am [xxx], please I need help with my car. Air bags are common problem. It can be googled. Ours stopped working. When braking the steering wheel shakes bad. Got fixed and came right back week later. Common problem. O2 sensor needed changed cause when slippery road indicator comes on car won't accelerate over 25 mph. Have to cut engine off wait for seconds and cut back on and its fine. Oil leak is where everyone online said there's is. There should be recall on these things it hurting environment n dangerous for drivers on the road.

The contact owns a 2011 Ford fusion. The contact stated that after being parked for a while and then restarting the steering wheel failed to move. The vehicle was no longer operable and needed to be towed to the contact's home. The vehicle had not been diagnosed or repaired. Tue 10/17/23. . . Power steering assist failed. . Steering locked up while exiting my driveway. Had vehicle towed to sutherlin Nissan 8125 e. Colonial dr. Orl FL 32817. They repaired vehicle and I picked it up fri 10/20/23. They claimed this was an anomaly and would never happen again. Thu 10/26/23 steering kept locking up and releasing. . . Steering light on dashboard kept going on/off. Had vehicle towed to sutherlin Nissan. They claimed they found nothing wrong and returned vehicle to me. Tue 10/31/23 felt steering acting when parking. . . Drove around building complex and parked several times. . . Felt nothing. Thu 11/2/23 after making a left turn while driving steering locked up causing me to lose control and end up diagonally across middle of road narrowly missing another vehicle. . Driver of other vehicle came to my assistance and thought I had a medical episode and wanted to call 911. I had to fight the steering to get it out of the middle of the road. She then thought I was under the "influence". . I had to have her check the steering to convince I was not. She then remarked that I should not be driving a "deffective" vehicle on the road which can easily cause an accident resulting in serious injury or even death to myself and /or other motorists. Had vehicle towed to sutherlin Nissan. Fri 11/3/23 went to sutherlin and told them I would not be driving the said vehicle again and like to turn it in under the "lemon law". . . . . . They refused. . . . . I am here wondering what should be my next course of action. I still owe the bank and am responsible for the payments/balance. . . . They have possession of the vehicle. . And I am without transportation. I am suspecting that the vehicle might have some history of steering problems with a previous owner and asked them to show me the previous service history. . . But they refused.
The contact owns a 2023 Nissan altima. The contact stated that the windshield had cracked with no external cause. The vehicle was taken to the dealer, where it was the windshield was replaced. Additionally, the contact stated while driving 45-50 mph, the vehicle ahead slowed down, slid and stopped side ways, approximately two feet in the emergency lane and two feet in the left lane. The contact stated that upon depressing the brake pedal, the wheels locked but the abs failed to engage, causing the vehicle to skid. Additionally, the contact attempted to turn to the right to avoid the other vehicle, but the steering wheel was locked. The contact used his physical strength to steer the steering wheel; however, the vehicle crashed into the passenger's side rear bumper and headlight of the other vehicle. The contact stated that the forward collision avoidance emergency braking system failed to engage. The air bags did not deploy. The front driver's side door failed to open widely. The contact stated that he kicked the door in order to exit the vehicle. There was no injury sustained. There was no police report filed. The dealer was notified of the failure. The vehicle was towed to the dealer's autobody repair shop, all magic paint & body (14461 commerce center dr, moreno valley, CA 92553). The manufacturer was notified of the failure and informed the contact that a Nissan field inspector would inspect the vehicle and would review the edr information. The vehicle was not diagnosed nor repaired. The failure mileage was approximately 5,300. The VIN was unavailable.
Unknown, this is what I remember, as I was traveling on this highway I pushed the lane correcting button on because it was raining and I don't like being out in the rain. I had put on my cruse control and after about halfway to the exit I turned the cruse control off so that the vehicle could slow down and I could cost to the exit however out of nowhere my steering wheel starts pulling to the left so I tried to turn it back to align with the back of my truck and the steering wheel was stuck it would not move so, I braced myself for impact. I am still scared. No one will help me and the vehicle is available for request if need be. I really could have been killed and someone else too if they had been near me at the time of the accident. The guard rails saved me from going into the opposite side of traffic on the highway. Because of what I was doing no one will help me. So I don't know what to do now. There were no warning signs before the accident however I did have an oil change and my tires rotated 3 weeks before my accident. Everything happened on the day of my accident. No 1 will look at it. My insurance will not cover me so they will not help and the people I was driving for are basically not responsible and now I am out of my vehicle and I need it inspected but no 1 will help me.
