Car shut off by yourself while we were driving on the highway. The key just kind of fell apart. The key fob thing kinda bent over and the car just turned off. Scared the family came to a halt and called aaa. They saw the key bent over and showed us. Called Nissan and they said it was not under warranty. Because called dealer, and they said I had to get a new one. Says it cost $500 for each fob. Crazy!.

When we turn to the left, there's a "popping" noise from the front suspension when the vehicle is turned back to straight the same pooping sound is made. I found a recall for this same vehicle but the years 2014-2016 (ntb15-062c).

I was driving on the expressway when my car started shaking and a malfunction message came on. My steering then started to steer only to the left and the car would not allow me to control the steering any longer. I hit the median wall, did a 360 and was facing the opposite direction of traffic. The door initially would not unlock to let me out. I kept trying in a panic and all of a sudden they unlocked for me to get out. My car was totaled out by my insurance company.
VIN : 5n1at2mv7gc766843 phone number : 604-621-1143 name: asad qatlish email address: asadnassif18@gmail. Com incident: I have made a report earlier regarding my Nissan Rogue 2016 , the VIN is mentioned earlier. It’s been a safety issue driving the car as it becomes very hard to control ( loss of steering control) , loss of electrical features such as usb port , bad noise from the speakers when playing songs as there is a water drainage from the panorama roof ! the car been reported to abbotsford Nissan local dealership, spoke with Nissan also about the issue and no action was taken … as I’m a nurse , today I was driving to work , the car started to act weird while I was driving caused me to lose control while driving and there tire did hit the side of the road. . Causing it to be more misaligned. It's been reported to the local Nissan dealership as well as Nissan customer care that the car is unsafe to drive.
On 4-27-2023 with no warning light's or any symptoms of problems, I made a left turn at a busy intersection and upon acceleration of the gas the car felt as if wanted to stall. I had a brief decline in power with a bit of locking of the steering wheel then it jolted forward and ran normal. I'm glad I was only a half mile from home to park it safely. On 4-28-2023 I was able to drive it a mile from home without incident to have the oil changed, as well as fuel injectors cleaned and radiator serviced, in hope that it would help with the issue, but it did not. I was able to get it home and as I was about to parallel park I put it in reverse and turned my wheels and it began locking of the wheels on and off. I am blessed to have made it home and not be on the road with my family.

The steering is so hard to turn I can barley drive a vehicle I purchased I’ve taking it to be looked at a few times because the code will come on and off but when they run the code it won’t read it so they don’t know how to fix it.

The car belong to my father. This is the third incident. While he was going out of his property in reverse about 5 miles by hours the car sudently turn off itself making imposible to control the vehicle in any way , no wheel control , no brakes and almost kill his neighbors.
Steering wheel locked up while vehicle was in motion (moving). Yes. Steering noise coming from steering column. Lost control of steering while driving, drove into oncoming traffic. I was injuried while trying to get my vehicle in control. Yes, grease was but onto the steering boot by the dealer and charged. The steering wheel stiffens from time to time. After my accident with the my vehicle the dealer charged me to grease the steering boot, problem is still present. Loud noise coming from steering column began around 25,000.
-engine light was on and Nissan ran a diagnostic and found the code number p0603 and needs a new ecm -this could cause an accident as the driver can loose control of vehicle at any moment causing the driver and others at high risk -the problem was confirmed by the dealer service center -the engine light was the only indicator and other private car auto body stated the battery needed replacement but Nissan ran a diagnostic to find it was the ecm.
On 12/17/2022 I was driving 45 mph down a straight road. Suddenly the vehicle swerved left into oncoming traffic (so I was face to face with another vehicle), then swerved right very hard and then left again. My car was its two left tires only for a few seconds during this time. After it swerved across the lane 3 times, I was able to control the steering wheel again. I just missed the car in the opposing lane and my car was also heading towards a telephone poll before I regained the ability to control the car again. During this incident my steering wheel was straight the whole time and did not control the vehicle. I did not hit the brakes or acceleration for fear of a rollover because it was swerving so hard. There were no warning lights on the dashboard during this time or after the incident. About 3 minutes before this incident occurred, my car did something similar and swerved hard to the right while the steering wheel was straight and I did not have control of the steering for a few seconds. Mechanics in the area were called and mentioned that it could be the steering motor that could be failing but were unable to look at the vehicle. I had a mechanic come to my house and he said he could not find a error code on my vehicle's system. The car has not been driven since the incident.
Last week - while I was driving the power steering went midway - I had to swerve from an on coming car and it took both me and my step father to gain control . I took it to a mechanic and he noted it was the power steering motor was defective and needed to be replaced . I bought this car on or about 2019 or 2020 and it only has 34, 000 miles - should be noted after a heavey 3 day rain this problem occured . I called Nissan and because of the recall they told us to drive it to Nissan which is a distance away - only to address the recall. I noted to them that the car was in a state "not safe to drive " - I got an email from them proof of ownership - and they wanted us to pay for tow for diagnosis ? the motor obviously is effected from this recall - or it should be listed. I made several phone calls to Nissan USA - and emails . No avail . This is dangerous and costly repair 2400 dollar estimate repair. Thank you joseph kelley repuntzle42@hotmail. Com joseph kelley or rebecca fitzgerald.
The car driver side window door leaks water into the driver side floor near where the legs go. The floor is always wet has mold on it. Mirror above driver side has mold on it. Seatbelts throughout the car have accumulated mold on them. Behind the driver side that rug is wet soaked as well. The water has traveled to the left side of the vehicle is now getting moist. The trunk never shuts there’s an electrical issue with the wiring. As I drive the trunk opens and shuts not completely but unlatches allowing the trunk to swing open. The electrical issue with the trunk has drained my battery several times. The notification of the door door being open is constantly draining my battery. I have been stranded several times due to this electrical issue. As I drive the steering wheel tilt to the right I cannot control my steering. My steering wheel now looks like it’s out of place it’s like if I try to drive straight the car will go slight right. I have three toddlers who I need to drive to daycare in order to go to work to provide for my family. I do not feel safe driving this car. I went to a Nissan dealership informed them of all these issues in my concerns that I did not feel safe driving this car and they said there was nothing I could do about it unless I paid for the fix. As a consumer defect I do not feel I should be responsible for the manufacture errors.

Fuel gauge wasnt reading that the car was filled up. Then security lights came on in the car. Once the car was turned off, the steering wheel wouldnt lock and the car refused to start. Then random lights came on on the dashboard. You could shift the vehicle out of park and move it. The entire security system was malfunctioning. Vehicle was towed to nearest Nissan dealership in bloomington, indiana (where the car broke down). Nissan states it is the body control module (bcm) and that they would not cover it. It is available for inspection at community Nissan in bloomington, indiana. I felt our lives and the lives of others on the road could have been at risk if the vehicle decided to just shut off while we were driving, causing us to lose all power and crash into other drivers on the road.
The contact owns a 2017 Nissan Rogue. The contact stated while driving 70 mph, the vehicle lost power steering functionality and the steering wheel became difficult to turn. There was no warning light illuminated. The contact was able to pull over and restart the vehicle. The vehicle was taken to the dealer, but no failure was found. The manufacturer was contacted and stated that the vehicle needed to be diagnosed. The failure mileage was 110,000.
When making a left turn the car lost power and the steering wheel jerked to the right (it was all split second). It regained power right after losing power. Also a few days before the steering lost power, my radio went off and came back on right after. . . Like it rebooted itself automatically. The radio has done this a few times. I'm very afraid and concerned that my car will catch on fire one day.
Saturday 08/06/2022 my 2016 Nissan Rogue caught fire as I was driving down a side street in adrian, mi. 49221. Lights came on on my dash, it appeared to be every warning light, the car jerked me over as if I lost power steering and the car took over, my son and I could smell something hot. I put the vehicle in park as flames were coming from the engine compartment, my son was able to open his door and get out, my driver side door would not open and I had to climb out the driver side window! the fire department was called and after they were able to put out the fire as I watched my car literally melting, they told me it was an electrical fire. My car was then towed to clift Buick GMC in adrian, michigan.
Leaving walgreens & my car won’t start (I just bought a new battery a month ago). Called a friend for jump start & it took it awhile to start (5-10 minutes). While driving home my steering locked up twice & the stereo cut out a couple times. It also chugged a couple times like it was going to die. Once home and shut off - the doors won’t lock.

I'm reaching out in hopes of getting an answer on when the remedy for the recall number r21b9 for 2014 Nissan Rogue. My car has been at the Nissan dealership for many days with every issue this recall represents. Water wicking up in the harness and connectors, it's eroded multiple electrical parts. Power steering, airbag connectors have been negatively affected etc. I'm being quoted an outrageous amount. Since I'm in need of a car, I told them to start with the repairs, although I don't have any confirmation of what Nissan will do to compensate me or when. . . I can provide you with the documents and proof that my car is dangerous and malfunctioning due to this recall, directly from the Nissan dealer. Please respond with how to proceed.
When using the vehicle air system, I will have window malfunctions, wiper malfunctions, and battery malfunctions, while driving. My car has shut off while driving because of the recall. I need a resolution as this is incredibly dangerous.
The steering wheel and brake peddle locked (unable to steer or pump brakes) causing me to lose control of the car. I ended up sideswiping a tree and rear-ending a parked pickup truck, totaling my car. This malfunction was an ongoing issue that I initially reported to the dealership which the car came from and also after occurring 2 additional times (with video evidence). The dealership stated that because they were unable to duplicate the malfunction, they could not fix the problem and due to my state's lemon law, Nissan corporate could not get involved until the same malfunction occurred for a 4th time. This exact malfunction (unable to steer or pump brakes) had only occurred while the car was in reverse but unfortunately for me, the 4th occurrence happened while the car was in drive. My son and I are very fortunate to have walked away from this very avoidable accident with minor injuries, although the trauma will be there for a while.
•when starting vehicle makes a loud noise. •dashboard where the gps/radio is turned off. •speaker static •while driving the vehicle you hear how loud the engine is •vehicle jerks •steering wheel does not get hot. •seat warmer either does not get hot or when it does, the temperature does not stay consistent and turns off. •going in reverse or turning the steering wheel to go in a certain direction made a squeaking sound. •carplay function not working consistently. •gps loses signal the lights are turned on rear automatic braking indicator, power steering malfunction warning light, brake support warning light, check engine light. Informed dealership about the lights in January 2023. Mechanic did not take a look at it. This month April 2023, my vehicle stopped suddenly without me pressing my brakes. Nothing was around the vehicle for it make it want to stop suddenly. Dealership for all other issues have been informed about each issues starting approximately 2 weeks after I purchased the vehicle, June 2022. Dealership states they cannot reproduce the issue and only changed the speaker and radio. Speaker and radio still giving issues. Date listed below for incident date, is the first service appointment that the vehicle was taken in for the issues. No accident at this time to report an incident date.
I have a 2016 Nissan Rogue and my steering wheel was making a squeaking noise when turning… then was told it was the backing plate… then the tailgate door button doesn’t work. My navigation touchscreen doesn’t work. I get a burning wire smell in the car and my leg area gets really hot, as if I have the heater on. When I go over 45 the car shakes more like vibrating feeling when I press the brakes. . When someone get in or out my key alarm goes off saying no key in car. . Please help I just got this car in December.

Awd lock kicking on by its self while driving. Catilac converter issues.
Drove home, while attempting to park, (car was in motion) vehicle stalled & steering locked, lights on dash flicked off, radio went off then came back on. This happened 4 times while I attempted to park. Finally parked vehicle successfully & turned car off. This happened several times in recent months but only for a few seconds also on another occasion was unable to turn steering wheel once vehicle was on. Tonight was the worst experience, alarming. I plan to take SUV in for check up tomorrow.

October 2021 while driving at a 55 mph my stirring wheel felt hard to maneuver and a chasis control light/check engine light came on. I felt a resistance to steer and speed was reducing. I manage to pull over right away and turn off car it would not turn off until I continuously press my start button. After my car got towed it would not jump star no power at all a mechanics saw and diagnostic as an electrical issue possibly harness with a code u0100. I decided to take to Nissan dealer they diagnosed an ipm issue replaced for $1300. Took car drove fine for two months two months later while driving my chasis control light came up again my steering to the right was too hard so I pull to the left manage to park. Car turn off at first press on start button but it wouldn’t jump start again. Replace the ipm Nissan said harness that holds has to be replace want to do it for $5k and not sure if it will fix issue. My car had no signs of issues ever before very scare to fix and drive now since it just suddenly doesn’t let me control steering and dies right away with no warnings. Very dangerous for all road drivers. No current recall resolution till next month however I need a vehicle very inconvenient and dangerous for me.

I bought Rogue on the 17th of sept, 2021. 5 days later something in front on passenger side made noise and my steering wheel went to the right. Mechanic said it was rack and pinion that came loose. It was 2 miles after I got off freeway. I could have killed someone! or myself.
Vehicle is three years old. Never used the spare previously. Had a nail in the tire, so called Nissan care to come and change it. Nissan care arrived, used the spare that came with the vehicle and changed the tire. Immediately upon driving it, my wife heard weird noises, including grinding under her feet and grinding near the front right of the vehicle. Some knowledgeable car experts at her work told her she needs to get it checked out. She drove on it for less than 15 minutes before hearing a loud pop from the back, at which point the vehicle started smoking. She drove it to a nearby dealer. The dealer indicated the spare tire was not the same size as the others and because the vehicle has an intelligent all wheel drive system, this caused the rear differential to explode. Nissan ro # 6112906 is the reference number at martin Nissan in skokie, IL.
