Failure Date: 11/01/2019

Car would tack at 5k-6k rpm and not downshift, would lose power as driving uphill in heat. Wouldn't shift out of gear , making loud buzzing sound. Shutter or lose power after driving for a period of time. This happens on the freeway and while driving on city streets. Vehicle had 40k miles when first started to have the issue. Recently brought to Nissan dealership who stated it was a transmission failure where the transmission doesn't cool. Due to being out of the warranty timeline (5 years) but within the mileage (52000 miles), they were able to get Nissan to cover a cooler kit. However, the transmission is not working properly. Paint chipping from hood and side of car without any reason or any prior damage.

3 Transmission Slip Out Of Gear problem of the 2011 Nissan Rogue

Failure Date: 01/03/2018

Intermittently just seems as if it shifts out of gear resulting in car having no power. Most often did this when I was on highway, resulting in me being in high speed highway with no power. Apparently the cvt transmission is defective and looking back, always was for past several years, with several Nissan mechanics previously testing it and indicating there was no problem.
