1 Fuel Injection problem of the 2000 Nissan Sentra

Failure Date: 09/15/2004

Check engine light on. Dealer stated bad mass air flow sensor due to after market air filter. Stp filter(manufacturer states filter meets or exceeds Nissan specs. ) first price quote from dealer for repair $800 plus. (matrix pricing?) second price $565 (list price on part, plus labor) when I questioned the pricing difference with Nissan, they said dealers can charge any price they want for parts. They don't have to follow list pricing! seems like a poor way to treat customers. I ended up getting the part through a Nissan dealer in arizona for $365, installed it in five minutes. Judging by what I have been reading, this is a common problem. The problem arose within days of the dealer replacing the crank sensor due to a recall. The vehicleia a 2000 Sentra gxe with 45,000 miles on it. Perhaps Nissan should have a recall for this problem.

2 Fuel Injection problem of the 2002 Nissan Sentra

Failure Date: 10/01/2002

While driving at any speed vehicle stalled. Consumer restarted the vehicle, and took it to the dealer for inspection. Mechanic determined that the mass air flow sensor needed to be replaced, and replaced it. The mass air flow sensor has been replaced several times but the stalling recurs. The oil pan, rear main seal and front engine seal were leaking oil. The vehicle drive belts also needed to be replaced.

3 Fuel Injection problem of the 1996 Nissan Sentra

Failure Date: 12/01/1997

This vehicle refuses to start in cold weather Nissan refuses to fix the problem they were notified repeatedly and would not fix the car there solution to the problem is to pull the fuel pump fuse to prevent the defective car from flooding. We have had to replace 3 starters trying to get this car to start in the winter. This has caused loss of work and in an emergency situation this is an unreliable car in the winter.

4 Fuel Injection problem of the 2003 Nissan Sentra

Once approaching a stop (crosswalk), the vehicle accelerated without touching the accelerator pedal. The owner of the vehicle almost hit a pedestrian. Another time, the vehicle lunged forward when attempting to move out of parking space. The dealership has the vehicle as of 01-28-2003 with cause not identified yet. The owner is concerned about the performance and repair of vehicle and the safety of those around if failure occurs again. Please describe details. Ts.
