My air bag light will not go off it was idle when it came in but it is constantly blinking , the horn completely stopped working the first time when I was turning the corner, I generally replaced it twice but it stopped working again, and again, and as I was sitting idle my check engine light came on even after I have been keeping the maintenance up on it.

The horn stopped working on this past Saturday, January 30, 2009 - again. This must be the sixth time I had the horn not working. I have brought it in to the dealer endless times because the horns are completely defective. I have owned cars my entire life and never had this trouble with a car in my entire life.

I have had at least 2 previous horns put into my 2005 Sentra four door car. This latest one has not been in that long and it does not work. It gives a beep and then it is gone. I need a horn that works in congested new jersey. This is unacceptable. I waste my time going there and I don't think the dealership is doing anything at all to correct this issue.
Lost horn for third time. A horn is safety equipment. The Nissan Sentra I own seems to be falling apart at 20,000 miles. I had horn trouble, brakes squeak like mad, windows squeak when up and down - hardly go up and down, another safety issue.
While driving a child came in front of vehicle and the owner tried to use the horn and it didn't work. The owner noticed about two months ago the horn stopped working. Dealer charged 89 dollars for diagnosis, and reported that there was a problem with the wiring harness. Dealer reports that since the vehicle is past warranty, then there would be no financial responsibility on the part of Nissan. Owner noticed others have had the same problem with vehicle. The horn has not worked since the first failure, and there are no warning lights on in the vehicle. There was also a problem with the gas pedal sticking and the dealer reported that was a normal maintenance issue. Nissan reports that there is nothing they can do to help.
2001 Nissan Sentra se - horn has been dead for months - wiring assembly near radiator is shorted may 14, car died during operation and started only intermittently - mostly not - wiring defect to engine control module - no service engine light warning.
While driving 55 mph vehicle stalled. The consumer was able to pull the vehicle off of the road. The dealer and manufacturer had been notified. The service dealer couldn't find why the vehicle stalled so he concluded that the fuel pump was the problem. The vehicle still did not start even after a new fuel pump was installed. On another occasion the consumer was told that the ecm module was the problem. Recall# 03v477000. The vehicle pulled to the right, the a/c, horn, and the third brake light was inoperative. Recall# 01v174000 . The consumer also lost control of the vehicle and hit a guard rail. The front rotors were warped.

Consumer received recall 03v477000 concerning electronic control module ( emc) material: vehicle was taken to the dealer for recall repairs, and immediately started having problems with the horn not working. Approximately a week later, vehicle would not start even though the dealer performed recall repairs.
I have had multiple ongoing problems with this vehicle. . I have had to bring it in four times for an inoperative horn. I would discover that horn was not working, I'd bring it in and it would function, then a couple of months would pass and again it would be inoperative. They finally replaced the harness, and it has been working for 2 straight months. This might not seem like a big deal, but it is a safety issue. I have brought it in twice for a broken ignition wire. The first time they were unable to locate the problem. The car was released to me and two days later I had it towed in because it was dead. I have had break issues, my breaks were apparently warped and not functioning properly. The latest thing to go was the fuel pump. I was driving on the highway, in the middle lane, during rush hour when the car just stopped. I had no where to go and was stuck in the middle. A frightening experience. I am now told that they don't know when my car will be fixed, nor are they willing to provide me with alternate transportation. Am I just supposed to acceptt that all of this goes wrong with my 2001 car? I bought a new car so I would have safe and reliable transportation. This has yet to happen. These problems have plagued me since the beginning and its only getting worse. I am at kelly Nissan with a major issue an average of once every 3 months. I do not believe this car is safe to operate. What are my rights as a consumer?.
Horn stopped working, dealer said break in harness was the cause.
While driving the light, horn and hazard lights failed. The dealer is aware of the problem.

I had just entered a 3-lane highway and was driving 25-30 mph in the rain at night, when the engine suddenly just stopped! I had no lights, no brakes, no horn, no steering. By some small miracle, the emergency brake stopped the car,and I had a cell phone. The police got there before anyone hit me. Sheehy Nissan service dept. Said that this is a common occurance with Sentras, and several years were recalled for defective components for the same kind of problems, but 1999 was not included. Therefore, the repairs as estimated would cost me roughly one grand. Forgot to mention that my son and baby girl were with me when the car failed on the highway. Aren't the dealers required to report this sort of thing to the manufacturer?.

The horn assembly failed.
Bought vehicle a few weeks ago & horn would continue to blow. Took vehicle to dealer & mechanic was suppose to have repaired it. Picked vehicle up and problem reappeared after hitting a crack or bump. Took back to dealership at least 4 other times and horn problem was not resolved. Dealership was refusing to repair it again. Owner removed fuse & it now has to go through inspection.
