2008 Nissan Titan has a large knock in the front suspension when going over bumps and or hills when driving the posted speed limit. The truck was taken to the Nissan dealership many times until Nissan finally decided to post a TSB. The TSB states to replace the front springs on 2008-2010 Titans with springs from 2007 Titans which will lower the front of the truck by 1. 5 inches. My truck is now an eye sore by having an unbalanced rake when looking at the truck from front to back and still knocks heavily when going over bumps and or hills. Nissan admits the issue is present but state they do not have a fix.

2005 Nissan Titan crew cab 4x4 with off-road package, within 10,000 miles there were loose bolts on the transfer case. At 38,500 miles the left front differential seal failed and leaked. At 39,800 miles the power steering hose went bad and leaked. At 51,000 miles the circular clip on the axle at front left differential deformed causing axle to begin to fall out of vehicle!!! thankfully all has been covered under our extended warranty, and dealerships have replaced parts, but when it runs out these will come from our pocket, and no one can guarantee the new parts are not just replacements or any better. This could have resulted in death or injury to us or someone else had that axle fell from vehicle, and could occur again.
In 2005 Titan truck had their adjustable camber bolts replaced with non-adjustable bolt. This caused any truck needing a front end alignment to have to have the bolts replaced. Nissan is not replacing these bolts on a recall but have notified dealers on a atsb. This seems to be a deliberate attempt to cause more dealer work and consumer cost by designing a bolt that they knew in advance would not work.
The contact owns a 2006 Nissan Titan. While having the vehicle aligned, the contact was informed that the front upper link mounting bracket and pan hard bracket on the passenger side had separated from the vehicle. The vehicle has not been serviced and there were no prior warnings. The current and failure mileages was 55000.

The truck has started to shake very badly when I apply the brakes. Sometimes I have to struggle to keep it straight when braking. Very concerned that I will be in an accident due to this issue. I have contacted Nissan and said it was my problem to deal with since my truck is out of warranty. This is known as "brake judder" to Titan owners. I have researched this issue and found numerous Titans with this issue.

Vehicle has had erratic handling/steering since day one. Has been in dealership for problem 7 times. They say no problem brought to independent alignment shops and frame shop. They determined that rear axle was off center therefore causing the tracking to be off and preventing a proper alignment and causing erratic steering and having to constantly correct the steering wheel while driving.
: the contact stated at various speeds the front end vibrated. The dealership determined the problem was with the tires and the tires were rotated. This did not resolve the problem.
Consumer's 2006 Nissan Titan pulls to the left/ right when driving. The consumer noticed that the vehicle pulled to the right on the date of purchase. The vehicle was returned to the dealer. The consumer had to make an appointment to have the vehicle looked at. The vehicle was taken back to the dealer on April 12, 2006. An alignment was done on the vehicle and it was returned to the consumer. When the vehicle was returned it still pulled to the right. The consumer contacted the dealer and was told that the alignment was done to factory specs. The consumer made the dealer aware that the specifications were different for the 2005 and 2006 models.

Since the purchase of our 2004 Nissan Titan on 8/31/04, the front suspension has been out of alignment. Vehicle would immediately veer to the right when the steering wheel was released. After four attempts by the dealership to resolve the alignment problem, the Nissan district technical specialist (dts) removed the vehicle from an as manufactured configuration by grinding down the right caster eccertic adjustment bolts. This modification was a desperate attempt to adjust the alignment to near specifications while negating the need and cost involved to identify and repair the actual problem prohibiting the front suspension from being aligned properly while the vehicle was in the original as manufactured configuration. Subsequent to this modification, the front suspension is still not within the manufacturer's specifications and the vehicle vibrates and shakes at speeds above 50mph. The dealer has tried, without success, to eliminate the vibration with wheel and tire replacements. This short cut type fix done by the Nissan dts has affected the integrity of the front suspension, put the vehicle in an unstable driving condition and created a safety issue on the road.
Multiple brake and steering shudder problems with 2004 Titan Nissan se crew cab truck, dealer makes mfg suggested repairs but shudder returns creating safety worries and fear of losing control of vehicle. Moreover, transmission coolant line replaced wherein dealer informs me that blowout could lead to failure. Front tires excessive wear, vibration and shudder with or without brake application. Headlight switch design flawed, easily turned off when turn stalk activated or lights are dimmed from high to low beam. All the above problems occured and still are occuring within first 3500 miles!!.
We purchased a truck from Nissan in October of 2004. It has been in the shop many times and in December of 2004, it was there over 30 days. The transmission and the rear end have both gone out, windows don't roll up and down correctly, rattling in the cab where the visor and garage door openers are held. The brake, vdc, tow, and abs switch stay on all the time. The brakes are going out and the whole truck shimmies. Now in addition to the transmission being replaced once, it's slipping again. Nissan stated they would pay for the rental on the 30 days, but that was a lie. They socked me with an $283. 00 bill. $181. 00 was to fill up the tank with gas!!!!!!! there are also missing valves on the tires they themsleves took off and didn't replace and the alarm goes off by itself when no one is around. Give me a break. . . Nissan states this does not qualify for the lemon law. I need help in this situation.
The contact stated while stopping the front end vibrated. Twice while pressing the brake pedal, nothing happened and causing the vehicle to slide off the road, and dented the vehicle. The vehicle has been to the dealership nine times for these problems. The dealership rotated the tires once, changed the brake pads, rotors, and discs, and replaced the tires. The vehicle was not vibrating as much, but the problem has not been fixed. Updated 12/7/2005.
