While replacing lifetime warrantied suspension which was not honored by Nissan or tenneco, I found the rear pinion seal to be leaking severely, and rear axle seal leaking in wheel assembly. Possible source of "ticking" noise from differential, which until then I thought were exhaust heat shields. This condition could cause catastrophic drivetrain failure while vehicle is in motion. The fluid leaking from axle seal can reduce effectiveness of braking components. Other owners have described inadequate engineering & possible use of substandard differential materials & components along with axle vent assemblies which could create internal pressure conditions that could cause seals to fail.

The contact owns a 2006 Nissan Titan. While driving approximately 30 mph, the vehicle exhibited a loud thudding noise. The vehicle was taken home where the driver examined the vehicle and noticed that a large spring from under the vehicle pierced through the flat bed. The vehicle was taken to an authorized dealer where the contact was told the passenger side rear leaf spring fractured from the suspension system and pierced through the flat bed. The vehicle was not repaired. The failure and current mileages were 94,000.

My truck's front suspension makes noise especially when it goes over speed bumps. It's been making noise for maybe since 2010 years and we have got it checked but the service guys says it's fine. The tires, rotations, service has always been well kept.

I have a 2006 Nissan Titan king cab 4x4. Last Thursday I heard a loud bang in the back end of my truck. I looked around and didn't really notice anything. Friday I heard more noise from the back end and made and appointment to have it looked at. Saturday was more noise, but getting much worse. Sunday I went to put something in the bed of my truck and saw a hole on the back passengers side corner with a part coming through the bed. I then got underneath my truck to find that the leaf spring had broken in half and fired a piece of my suspension through the bed of my truck. I brought it to be fixed today and the mechanic said that he had seen a lot of these with a bad weld and that I should contact Nissan because he heard they were possibly going to recall them for leaf spring. I checked online and couldn't find a recall for a bad weld on a leaf spring, but I did find thousands of other people complaining about the same thing so that is why I am filing a complaint. Hopefully Nissan does something about them like Toyota is doing because they are taking care of their faulty leaf springs.
