Was accelerating after coming to a stop at a stop sign. Got up to about 15 mph when all of a sudden the engine died in the middle of traffic. Tried to restart but could not. Coasted into a side street. Fuel guage indicated that the vehicle still had 1/8 of a tank of fuel. After putting in about a half of a gallon of gasoline was able to get to a gas station. Once truck was full it ran with no problem. A week later I ran the fuel down to the same amount (1/8) where the truck had died before. This time I had a spare gas can with me. The vehicle died again.

4 Other Fuel System Tank Mounting problem of the 2007 Nissan Titan

Failure Date: 11/18/2012

1) my truck brake down on the 91 freeway for lack of gas eventhough the gas gauge registered a quarter tank. Towing cost me over $ 400. 00 2 ) the oil gauge register 1/2 full at all times. When the engine light is on indicating it needs oil or after an oil change, the gauge still registers 1/2 full. 3) my aircondition works well. The heater malfunctions all the time. Sometimes it heats up sometimes it does not. 4) my engine has oil leak. . Starting June of 2013, whenever I start my engine, I get a lot of blue smoke from the exhaust pipe it last for a several seconds. The more oil in my engine the greater the amount of smoke the less oil the less smoke. I put in a minimum of 2 to 3 quarts of oil weekly in my engine to keep up with the oil consumption.

5 Other Fuel System Tank Mounting problem of the 2005 Nissan Titan

Failure Date: 04/11/2012

I've had two incidents where my truck has run out of gas due to the fuel gauge displaying the wrong amount of gas in the tank. There has been a recall on 2005 - 2009 Titans for this specific problem yet my vehicles VIN hasn't been associated with the recall. I've contacted two local dealers and the Nissan company directly for a resolution but I've been told that I would have to repair the problem myself. Is there anything that can be done concerning this discrepancy? thank you for your time.
