1 Dash Wiring problem of the 2001 Oldsmobile Intrigue

Failure Date: 08/01/2006

1. Loose dashboard causing passenger seat airbag to rattle and the cover to lift above the dashboard. This could lead to deployment at anytime of the airbag. 2. Turning signal fails to blink on exterior lights when engaged, usually about twice a day. This could lead to me getting a ticket or into an accident in which case the airbag would still be an issue. 3. Headlights and interior lights flicker and dim at night. 4. The transmission jumps at certain times, usually when the car is just started and instantly put into gear. There has been no action to fix the air bag, lights or transmission. The turning signal, however, I have checked the wiring for burns and other problems but have found none.

2 Dash Wiring problem of the 1999 Oldsmobile Intrigue

Failure Date: 01/23/2006

The power wires feeding the heater/air conditioner fan motor burned. The unit was functioning normally for the life of the car. They were never damaged, or corroded. The area burned was external to the fan and had considerable combustibles surrounding it. There was no apparent service bulletin at this time.

6 Dash Wiring problem of the 2000 Oldsmobile Intrigue

I have only had this vehicle for 3 weeks but I have noticed that the lower part of the radio and the fog lamp switch get very hot. Particularly at night. I did notice that the foglamp switch cooled off a bit if I turned the fog lamps on. The lower part of the radio and the top part of the climate controls stay hot. This could be a hazard for young children and possibly a fire hazard. That's how hot the area can become. The wiring in a vehicle should not be generating that much heat. I have not contacted the dealer yet. I will be having the vehicle serviced in the next week or two and I will mention it at that time.

7 Dash Wiring problem of the 2001 Oldsmobile Intrigue

When turning on the exterior lights interior switches on the dashboard console overheated. Vehicle was taken to the dealer, who informed the consumer there was no solution for this problem.
