July 17th 2019 engine dies while driving at high speed without warning. Replaced crank shaft sensor. Died in motion again July 24th, replaced alternator. This same problem originally happened in sept of 2011, again in March of 2015, and March of 2017. Different repair shops have replaced many different parts attempting to fix this over the years. It is extremely dangerous when the car loses all power while traveling 65 miles an hour in heavy traffic.

Car will not start, not turn over or anything. Security light will come on while driving. Never know when the car will start. Have been towed to mechanic 3 times in 72 hrs. He has checked all connections and all are good. He can find nothing wrong. Will start a few times then nothing. Mechanic has put on his code reader and nothing comes up. Car will just turn off whenever. Have read many forums and tons of people are having this same problem.

Gm has not delivered parts to brodhead Buick & Chevrolet, brodhead, WI for recall(camp'n # 15v701000) after 3 weeks from initial inspection.

When I drove on high way or local, suddenly the car is power off, engine and power steering do not work at all, need pull over restart several times, then drive a while this happen again. This happened several times in the past years. I got recall 14350 and the dealer fixed the key ring, I thought the power off problem is gone, but it happened again, this may cause crash and serious injury. I don't know what I can do for this, I cannot afford new car and definitely will not sold this defect car to anyone else.

After rounding a curve and seeing a deer and thinking how lucky I was that it didn't jump out in front of me, my engine died and I lost control of the vehicle. It went off into the drivers side ditch and hit a field driveway culvert with the divers side tire, which ultimately bent the frame and totaled my car. . 98 olds Intrigue, coming home from school, tried to avoid a car coming off the onramp. Had car on cruise hit the gas alittle and the car took off. Tried to stop, after several attempts the car finally stop, almost hitting the car in front of me. After I got out the engine caught on fire. The car is a total lose.

This car is an electrical nightmare. The Intrigue seems to have so many of the same alero problems, but no resolution from gm regarding them. Vehicle continually will: not start, start and then die, have the instrument cluster go haywire (all gauges drop to the bottom, then jump back up, lights coming on then going off - abs, check engine, service engine, etc) additionally - security (passlock) light will come on sometimes when the instrument cluster goes nuts, and then will stay on. This often leads to a no-start condition. If battery is disconnected for a few minutes, this will usually resolve the issue. Sometimes, when there's a no-start (no cranking) - turning the car to acc, and then moving the shifter through a couple gears, will resolve the issue. When there's a no-start (with cranking) - this can eventually be resolved by disconnecting the battery for a long time. The gauges going crazy while driving: often, when not actively pressing the accelerator, the gauges will drop to the bottom (empty gas tank light comes on, rpm, gas, and heat needles drop to zero; speed usually remains functional). When pressing the accelerator, they all pop back up to functional (only to drop again when there's no acceleration). The key - can be taken out of the ignition switch while the car is running, with no resistance. I have replaced: battery multiple times, battery cables once, the ignition switch & cylinder have been replaced at least once or twice by a mechanic trying to resolve the issue; wiring harnesses within the engine compartment and below the steering wheel have been replaced.

For the 6th time my a/c has failed to operate properly. It has previously been repaired on 4/20/99, 5/5/99, 9/11/01, 1/8/02 and 7/9/02. The problem always seems to be the same whereby the air is not blowing out the proper vents and the actuator had to be either replaced or adjusted each time. Is this some sort of defect in the manufacture of this part?.

This car has had many small problems. Many electrical problems in the air conditioning. The transmission had to be rebuilt at 78000. The biggest problem is in the steering. The intermediate shaft wears out after about 20,000 miles. I am about to have the intermediate shaft replaced for the third time. The first was taken care of by the warranty. The second came out of my pocket and now I am about to have it replaced again.
