Engine Belts And Pulleys Problems of Oldsmobile Intrigue

I have called multiple gm dealerships in order to get my ignition recall, oil leak from valve cover recall, and rear seatbelt recalls taken care of and so far none have returned my phone calls regarding the issues. I have had the appointments set for at least 6 months at 2 different dealerships and have yet to hear back on any parts arriving. They told me over the phone at both dealers that it would take a week and a half for parts to arrive and that they would return my call when parts did arrive, but I have yet to hear anything.

Consumer was backing out of the garage and the steering wheel failed. Consumer was unable to turn or move the vehicle. Consumer had the vehicle towed to the dealer for inspection, and mechanic determined that the steering pump/housing shaft, and bolt needed to be replaced. Consumer had the vehicle towed to the dealer for inspection, and mechanic determined that steering pump/housing shaft, and bolt needed to be replaced. The piston rod blew a 2. 5 inch hole through the engine casing at 158000 km. We had to completely replace the engine. The engine warning light never came on to warn us that a major part failure was about to take place. The back shoulder belts have never functioned properly. The brakes seem to need frequent replacement due to corosion of parts. Could you please let me know if anyone else has complained about a blown out engine? thank you.

While driving heard something falling off, suddenly steering wheel locked up. Vehicle had to be towed. Mechanic stated that drive belt idler pulley fell off.

The contact owns a 1999 Oldsmobile Intrigue. The contact stated that there was an abnormal noise that progressed, which sounded like a knocking associated with the engine assembly rods. While driving an unknown rate of speed, the vehicle failed to move. A local mechanic diagnosed that a rod fractured and water and oil leaked into the engine, which caused a catastrophic engine failure without warning. The vehicle was was unable to be driven and was parked at the mechanic's repair shop. The VIN was included in NHTSA campaign numbers: 09v116000 (engine and engine cooling), 00v044000 (seat belts), and 14v400000 (electrical system). The manufacturer was not notified. The failure mileage was not available.
