The contact owns a 1996 Plymouth Grand Voyager. The contact stated that he has experienced computerized antilock brake failure several times. He replaced the computerized antilock brakes three times. Recently, in December of 2007, the contact experienced the failure while driving 55 mph on the highway. There was no braking power, but he was able to coast the vehicle off the road. The vehicle has not been repaired. The dealer estimated that the repair would cost $4,000. The current and failure mileages were 78,000.

2 Anti-lock Brakes Fail problem of the 1998 Plymouth Grand Voyager

Failure Date: 07/01/1999

When backing out of driveway on a hill, it is difficult to put it into drive from reverse, causing the vehicle to roll backwards before it actually engages the drive gear. Dealer claims this is not a defect. Also, anti-lock brake failure reported previously.
